We were able to see all the beautiful sights on the island that’s impossible to view without an air tour. James knew SO much information about the island and the blessed people that have the privilege to live on Kauai. Thanks for the experience of a lifetime guys!

What a glorious experience!!! Just stunning! James, who henceforth be known by us as “The Flying Welshman,” was the perfect guide, so knowledgeable and funny! And I know he will want to hear this, what a playlist!! Kimberly was so kind and patient with us first timers! You have a couple of keepers there!!

Doors off is the way to go! Our pilot was very nice and had a playlist that was on point. As for the tour itself, far exceeded my expectations! The views are incredible mixed in with a few stomach turning turns in the heli. Highly recommend

It may be the coolest thing I’ve ever experienced on vacation. I found myself in disbelief the whole time. What a beautiful landscape and what an incredible way to see it.

The experience is a MUST DO to truly capture the awe inspiring beauty of Kauai! Since the island was small enough my wife and I toured the entire island by car and then finished by taking a helicopter tour over many of the areas we visited by car. There are some areas, like some of Waimea Canyon water falls, ‘swamp’ and Nā Pali coast which are only accessible via air. Having taken a private 2-person tour taking photos of the breathtaking views and coastline were easy and unobstructed since there were no doors on the helicopter. Only one word can somewhat capture our experience and customer service of the staff and pilot and views…AMAZING!

It’s hard to put this experience into words. Absolutely incredible and worth every penny. Guy was an amazing tour guide and pilot. Do not miss this tour if you are on the island. 5 stars is not enough.

My fiance and I typically steer clear of the “touristy” excursions, but this private helicopter tour did not disappoint!! It was such an amazing experience, to see the remote areas of Kauai. Waterfalls and vibrant mountains everywhere! The ride wasn’t as nerve-racking as I initially thought it would be, and by the time you see the beauty of the island all of those worries go away! Doors off is the way to go! Bring a light jacket and the tour now!

Words can't describe this experience. Our pilot, Stewart, was excellent, and gave us an outstanding tour. We got to fly between mountains, and it felt like we would reach out and touch the waterfalls. The view of the Napali coast from above was breathtaking. Highly recommend!

Both my husband and I agree that the private doors off helicopter tour with Ali’i Kauai Air Tours & Charters was the highlight of our first trip to beautiful Kauai! My fear and uncertainty was eliminated immediately by the amazing staff at check- in and the competence and experience of the pilot. The flight is so smooth and the scenery spectacular! What an amazing helicopter tour of Kauai-highly recommend this doors off tour! The check in was smooth and waiting area comfortable. Received a safety briefing before we went out to the helicopter and a second one by Guy, our pilot, before we boarded the helicopter. Guy was amazing, felt very safe with him. He was extremely knowledgeable about the island and he’s been flying for over 40 years-so you are in good hands. The tour had music to accompany the information about what we were seeing from Guy. I was a little hesitant about the doors off aspect but it was not nearly as windy or cold as I was expecting. We even flew through some rain but didn’t get wet at all! Just make sure you braid or corral your hair securely if you have long hair! My husband is 6’5” and he fit in the rear passenger seat, so there is plenty of room! The views of the canyons, waterfalls, and coastline are stunning! Just do it!!

This was such an amazing tour and experience. We were able to see all the major island destinations including the Waimea Canyon and the Nā Pali Coast. Doors off was certainly the way to go on this one. We were able to see the whole island up close and without a window between us. Our pilot was helpful and knowledgeable, going through safety procedures before hand and offering constant information on various spots along the route. I would recommend a long sleeve cover as it got windy and chilly.
