Jimmy is awesome. He arrived promptly at our hotel and stopped for coffee. He even surprised us with a Korean donut. He took time to ask us about our hiking preference/goals and created a perfect plan for us. We hiked by a mountain stream, visited a Buddhist temple (where we wrote out our dreams for the upcoming g celebration), and hiked to the peak of the mountain where we enjoyed an amazing lunch Jimmy had brought for us. The conversation was great and Jimmy made sure we had water and rest breaks. We highly recommend Jimmy!

This review is long overdue! I had an amazing experience hiking in Bukhansan Park with Chance. This was day one of two days in a row hiking with Chance. The first day we hiked Bukhansan and the next day we went to Seoraksan Park. The day started with a hotel pick-up and then we drove to the park. Chance was knowledgeable about the mountains, best route for my ability, where to park and all the other factors for a successful day of hiking. In addition, he was a good driver and also easy to talk to. We had a great hike in the snow, up to the summit, where we took in incredible views of Seoul and the mountain range (and took many photos!). We then continued our hike down the mountain and arrived back at the car. Typically this tour goes to dinner after the hike. However, after mentioning that I kept seeing people wearing an interesting Korean hiking brand on this hike, he offered to stop at that store on the way to dinner. I was so excited to shop and Chance was very patient lol. Next up was dinner, and let me say it was incredible! A great variety of warm and satisfying traditional cuisine after a winter hike. I would absolutely recommend hiking with Chance in South Korea.

I booked this tour for December, it snowed and it was beautiful. Even though for just one person it’s a little bit pricey, I don’t regret it. Jimmy was an incredible guide. He asked me a few times if I was doing alright, making sure that I was drinking water… He also took great pictures. And because it was snowing, crampons were a must. At the top, it’s really slippery in winter. I didn’t bring them, but jimmy had a spare one just in case. Jimmy knows a lot about history, in general, not only Korean. Also, he gave me recommendations from Seoul.

Hiking up bukhansan on xmas eve with guide Jimmy was super incredible! pickup at the hotel was seamless, the car ride was so clean and comfortable. As it had snowed the night before, Jimmy had very thoughtfully brought extra crampons for us - they were lifesaving to avoid slips on snow and ice at the steep slopes at the end!! he also brought us the essential peak meal: gimbap roll and cup noodles! eating warm ramen on the top is just an unbeatable experience. the mountain is so beautiful with the snow and the photos taken were so amazing, thank you Jimmy <3

This was the highlight of my trip to Seoul. Chance Kim was an amazing guide. He took the time to get to know me and my hiking style during the drive up. I had the perfect hike at my pace as a power hiker yet allowed me to stop to take pictures. Breath taking view of Seoul. Lunch was amazing.

This hike was intermediate there were some areas that were on a steeper incline, I am a beginner at hiking and my guide Brandon was wonderful. He guided me and assisted me when I needed help. The views of the fall foliage were breathtaking! There is also a Buddhist Temple at the foot of the mountain that I was able to explore. If you love the outdoors I highly recommend this hike and Brandon as your guide.

Jimmy is a great conversationalist and I enjoyed comparing hiking stories and learning more about South Korea. He catered the hikes we completed based on my fitness level and experience- we were able to add an additional hike at the end due to our pace! He did a great job taking photos and wound up with way more photos than I usually do when I go solo. Very grateful for this experience and it was 100% the highlight of my trip to Seoul. Jimmy also brought fresh fruit for a snack and picked up fresh local food for lunch. He was very thoughtful in making sure we had all needed gear for the hike. 100% recommend. I'm a 36 YOA female solo traveler.

Awesome hike up the mountain. Fairly challenging track. Incline starts right at the beginning. Need strong arms and core strength for the last part with the steel ropes up and down. Chance Kim was an excellent guide. He accommodated our request to start earlier due to the heat and humidity. Excellent English. Highly recommended.

Our guide Sophia Kim Aeja is very knowledgeable and friendly. She made recommendation on the hiking trail with our considerations and shared many interesting info abt the floral and fauna along the hike. She is patient with us as we are not familiar with the rocky terrain. Her passion and services made this whole experience a memorable one for us! highly recommended.

The view from the peak was incredible and definitely worth it. My guide was very knowledgable not just about Bukhansan national park but also about different areas of Seoul.

I had a most memorable and enjoyable climb to the top of Bukhansan thanks to my guide, Sophia. Her expertise in navigating the often-challenging trails was invaluable . Sophia was funny, warm, kind and her knowledge about the mountain park and Korean culture in general was outstanding. I strongly recommend this tour and the superb tour guide. Thank you, Sophia !!

It was a great adventure! Beautiful scenery and it was very neat to see all the fog on the trail. Jimmy was a great guide and let me borrow some gloves for the slippery areas to better hold onto the railing. Highly recommend bringing shoes with good grip and a rain jacket (and something to give the cats & dogs to eat that live on the mountain. Wish I could have taken them home with me).

It was an unforgettable experience with family. Jimmy is experienced and patient. By far the most difficult hike I’ve ever finished, but I live a sedentary lifestyle and my young adult children had no problems. I would rate this as a moderate level hike as advertised. It was more difficult because of the heavy rains the day prior which made the rocks slippery. Our sneakers were not adequate on the slippery rocks and hiking shoes would have made the hike a lot easier. Jimmy was kind and let us borrow gloves. The peak was also swarmed with bugs which was not pleasant. Overall I would highly recommend this excursion if you want to get out into nature, get some exercise, see the beautiful mountain and streams. Also I’m sure the views of Seoul would have been spectacular if not for the clouds and fog.

Knowledgable tour guide Jimmy was chock-full of information about Bukhansan National Park and greater Seoul. Lovely Korean lunch after you reach the peak. Fluent in English. Perfect half-day activity.

My hike with Jimmy was a great experience! Jimmy was very nice to provide me with gloves and sticks (contrary to what the operator told me, I would recommend to use gloves and sticks). Although I was a bit afraid of the last part of the hike, I felt safe thanks to Jimmy's instructions. I will definitely have another tour with him if I come back to Seoul! Merci!

I booked our tour by searching on the internet. Chance Kim was our guide, what a wonderful guide. There were 4 of us and we had a great experience. Chance was very helpful and made sure we were doing well at all times. I would definitely recommend but it is not an easy hike.

Mr Chance Kim was an excellent guide and tailored our experience to our requirements, the weather conditions and our request to get the best views of the city. From the moment he picked us up at the hotel he asked questions to alllow him to choose the best route to maximise our experience. Guide communicated extremely well before pickup. Jimmy was an expert at the trails and knew where to go, good photo spots and have helpful tips at each part of the trails. He came equipped with food, water and other essentials to make the hike great. The views were stunning and Jimmy was fantastic the whole way through.
