Mohamed gave us a good trip around the Medina pointing out the main places of interest. His English is excellent. He gives you a choice of what to see.

We had a wonderful day exploring the Medina with. Mohamed. He is very knowledgeable and presents the historical facts in a fun and interesting way. We learnt so many fascinating things about the Medina and morocco . We were taken for a scenic view over the Medina, visited the ceramic factory, the tannery, the organ oil shop, the berbers House, the oldest university , the Blue gate, the Jewish neighbourhood. It was a half day tour but with frequent stops here and there, the walking tour was manageable. Absolutely worth it experience! Probably the only note I would like to leave is - the price for the taxi should be stated in advance. Thanks for the unforgettable day !

We had a wonderful guided tour with Mohamed. He explained very relaxed and naturally and Mohamed really tried to show more of the authentic parts of Fez and submerge you in the typical Moroccan culture and habits. He takes you to shops and boutiques you would otherwise never find yourself. We are very glad we did this tour because navigating around the medina of Fez is very difficult. With Mohamed it was like we visited one of our long time friends.

Personally I think a guide is needed for navigating the Medina. A fellow traveler decided to go on her own and ended up feeling quite lost Understand from my Riad that the fee is within the regulated tourism guideline for 5 hours tour. So appears reasonable Mohd Abdoul was very experienced with the routes. Communication in English was fine Appreciate the recommendation for lovely local family restaurant Berrada. The guide talked to the amazing owner to let us sample the dishes in the kitchen for free (see pic). Nice work there. Guide took us to usual commercialised shops - leather products, rugs, argan oil etc. But the people were not pushy. Overall a satisfactory experience!

An excellent triip round Fez medina. Only regret is should have doen a whole day as so much to see. Our guide was so informative and everything was done at a relaxed place. Took us to a local restaurant for lunch which was very good. If we come back we will engage his services again to see some of the sights outwith the Medina. No hesitation in recommending Mohamed.

We had a great day tour experience with Abdoul in Fes. He took us to the perimeter of the city and showed us an incredible view of the Medina, a ceramics co-op, and then walked us through the non-touristy part of the Medina where we saw vendors and streets we would have never come across ourselves. He also took us to a lunch restaurant that upon entry was unassuming, but we were blown away when we saw the food reach our table and was a top 3 meal for us during our trip. Great way to spend the day and thank you Abdoul! His English is also excellent.

This was my favorite tour of Fes and overall in Morocco (across Marrakech, Casablanca and Fes), primarily thanks to the tour guide Mr. Abdoul. Mr. Abdoul is the only tour guide accross 8 tours that I went on in Morocco who did not try to sell me on any street vendor or have any motive other than showing me the city of Fes (including both of the Medinas!). I saw all of Fes and learned a lot about it’s history.

Great tour of the Medina. He spent a full 9 hours with us, gave us great historical context for all the sights, sounds and treats that Fes had to offer. He brought us to a few shops; leather, carpets, tile, metalwork, spices, etc. and they all felt fairly authentic. You will find many of the same goods in other shops too but he takes you to spots where you have a bit more time to browse, and the prices seem fair based on what we saw elsewhere (note that he, rightfully, will receive commission from the shops). Overall I thought he was a fantastic guide. Also gave an excellent recommendation for a cooking class.

We loved the entire day. It was a wonderful mix of artisan shops, cultural education, cultural sites and street food. Mohammed is a knowledgeable and amiable person. We highly recommend spending the day in Fez with him.

Booking and experiencing this Tour left us with mixed feelings. On one hand, we appreciated the private nature of the tour (us + guide Abdoul) but on the other hand, our overall experience was lacking and we urge any prospective person booking this tour to please consider this review if you are looking to do something other than just shop (look at negative reviews on this post, they say the same thing). Firstly, the tour is not very up front about the cost of transportation for certain parts of the tour which is 300 dirhams for a private cab driver that takes you around to places. The description makes it seem like you have a choice but this was rather forced down on us at a largely steep price (vs. other options which I am pretty sure guide charged a Mark up) and was not clearly mentioned so bake that in when you book this tour. More importantly, what we DID NOT LIKE about this tour was aside from some nice sights and historical areas, it seemed like Abdoul made it his Life's mission to bring us to EVERY co-op and store under the sun to rack up his commission and get us to spend money ALL DAY. I'm not saying we didn't want to shop, but this was WAY TO MUCH, even for our liking. What made it even worse, were the intentional, misleading, scare tactics Abdoul used on us first time in Morocco travelers to get us to spend money with him vs. other cities. Trust me, we have heard for the 1000x on this tour how "Fes is the best" and Marrakesh is bad/scammy/worst place to be. But to be honest, we went to Marrakesh and ended up enjoying ourselves so much more - largely because we didn't have Abdoul fear mongering and pushing us to spend so hard at every location. It's an incredibly juvenile tactic that commission focused guides leverage to get unsuspecting tourists to spend with them and we just do not like this dishonesty. Not everyone wants to just shop and it's not like we got anything amazing out of the history of Fes during the tour.... Why? Because half the time Abdoul would just leave us alone at attractions to wander while he sat and used his phone - probably because he could not make money off us when we were actually trying to do something other than shop! That's lazy at best my guy, I have no idea how this tour is rated so high..... At the end, we literally went over by 3 hours because we were shepherded to places we didn't want to go and were told at the end that we should leave an extra tip because he and the driver had spent more time than intended taking us around.... As you can probably tell, we were highly annoyed. It's your fault we went over Abdoul. All in all, this tour left us with a NEGATIVE impression of Abdoul, this tour, and Fes. If you are looking to shop.... please sign up and be led around by this dishonorable mercenary. But if you are looking for something else, STAY AWAY BECAUSE THIS TOUR IS NOT FOR YOU and PLEASE try something else. Finally, thanks to you Abdoul, we have learned alot, so much so, that we will NEVER come back to Fes. So we wish you all the best. PS: Marrakesh actually rocks and we have booked return tickets next year. We look forward to spending 3x more money supporting the lovely people there, than dishonest mercenaries like you.

The tour was amazing. Our guide was so knowledgeable about the city's history and traditions, and took us to some great spots. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to explore fes!
