My wife and I toured with Mike from Allied Victory Tours. We caught the train to Bayeux from Paris, and Mike picked us up at the train station. Mike is very outgoing and extremely knowledgeable about the D-Day Allied invasion. He was engaging, friendly, and interesting from the time he picked us up in Bayeux to the time he dropped us back at the train station that evening. The only thing I would do differently is to stay a few days and have Mike provide an extended tour.

We did two tours with Mike…the American and British Tours in Normandie. Mike was an excellent guide who was incredibly knowledgeable. He really exceeded our expectations above and beyond and I would recommend Mike to anyone wanting to tour the D-Day beaches and sites in Normandie. A five star plus. Thank you Mike!

Mike was an excellent tour guide. So knowledgable of all aspects of D Day and the history before and after D Day. It truly was like having a favorite history teacher with you for 8 hours! I would highly recommend Mike to guide you . I liked that he was flexible and adjusted to what we wanted to see while in Normandy.

My wife and I took the American D-Day tour from our hotel in Bayeux. It was an unforgettable experience. For anyone with even a casual interest in history/World War 2 this is a must do for anyone going to France. Mike picked us up at our hotel in the morning, we wen to some of the Band of Brothers sites, as well St. Mere Eglise (which was featured in the movie Longest Day), and hit up Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc, and Omaha Beach. The day ended at the Normandy American Cemetery. Throughout the day, Mike was engaging, enthusiastic, and willing to answer any and all questions.

We spent a full day with Mike on a private guided American D-Day tour. He started with introductions and giving an outline of what was in store for the day. On our way to each stop, Mike would relay interesting facts about our destiniation, as well as points of interest along the route. He kept the entire tour educational and entertaining. Although he has been doing this for many years, he kept the energy level going and seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. As we unfortunatey had to wind down for the day, the last stop was the American cemetary which was right on time for the lowering of the flags and the playing of taps. It was the perfect ending to an extraordinary day. These memories will last a lifetime. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend booking a tour with Mike.

This was my third tour in three years with Mike. He is a treasure trove of information. Every tour I learn so much! Our group of nine women all loved our tour. Mike's depth of understanding not only the big picture and military information of D-Day, but more importantly the personal stories of individual men and women involved makes him truly a stand-out guide.

What can I say? Mike is the best. His vast knowledge of and passion for all things D-Day make for a remarkable day. Even if you think you know all there is to know, you will find out otherwise. Our group of 16 ladies so enjoyed Mike's tour which included some extras such as a visit to the Bayeaux Tapestry, the Women of Valour Museum and a lunch stop at a wonderful restaurant. Mike is extremely professional and yet friendly and easy going. You won't be sorry for choosing Mike to make history come alive.

We could not have had a better guide than Mike! We were priviedged to take two half-day tours with him. He has been a student of D-day since he was a teenager and he lives and breathes it. His passion for D-day, his deep knowlege of what happened where and when, his awareness of incidents not widely known, and his honor toward the men and women involved in this momentous event brought D-day to life in a moving and memorable way. And to top it all of, he is a really great guy!

This is a fantastic tour. Mike is incredibly knowledgeable and a natural storyteller. We learnt so much. Our son is also a war history buff and Mike was so kind to take him under his wing and discuss the history with him in even greater detail. Thank you so much for an excellent day, Mike!

Mike was amazing from start to finish. He met us at our hotel with research he had done on our relatives who served on D-Day. He was able to personalize the tour and integrate our family story at every stop. The trip to Normandy would not have been the same without the day we spent with Allied Victory Tours.

The BEST tour I have ever been on. My D-Day knowledge was very minimal, but I now feel like an expert. I’d do it again. AMAZING! I can’t thank Mike enough, the best tour and trip of my life. Thank you again, Mike!!!

Mike was such an exceptional guide. He communicated ahead of our arrival to confirm our pickup and was easy to locate since we’re were driving in from another town. He shared is vast D Day knowledge with us and taught even this more well versed history buffs in our group some additional insights and history. He kept everyone engaged in our group of six ranging from ages 10-71. We never felt rushed. His deep knowledge of the area and timing allowed for us to be able to quickly change plans in time to catch the lowering of the flags at 4PM at the cemetery. I greatly appreciated his attention to detail and would recommend Allied Victory Tours to anyone looking for a spectacular D Day tour guide.

The story of Sts Damian & Cosmas Church in Angoville was amazing - brand new information to me. Mike is an incredible host and passionate about the history of WW2 in Normandy. Also, he's friendly and kind. We had small children and adults and he kept everyone entertained.

This tour with Mike far exceeded our expectations. Mike’s knowledge, presentation, personality, and hospitality, all combined to create an extraordinary experience for the four of us. Mike’s ability to gauge the expectations and goals for each of us, with regard to this tour, and then provide, the knowledge and experience on a personalized basis, made each of our experiences unique and extremely meaningful. For anyone wanting to truly understand the D-Day experience, it would be very hard to find anyone who could provide a better tour than that which we had.

Mike was beyond excellent. His knowledge was comprehensive and encompassing, delivered in a calm and entertaining fashion to a very, very knowledgeable audience that wanted something way beyond a standard tour. It was a fantastic day - that we all wished would never end. What a treat for the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of a D-Day Veteran & 82nd Airborne Captain. Thank you “Iron” Mike!

Our guide, Mike, exceeded our expectations and made our day together exactly what we hoped for. He was dependable, entertaining and more than once admired by other tour guides. He listened to our particular needs and did his best to deliver a memorable and unique D-Day tour experience. His vehicle is comfortable and he shares with passion his knowledge of the area, the events of D-Day and the impact then and now. We ended the day at the American cemetery and witnessed the flag ceremony and listened to Taps. Beautiful and poignant ending to a perfect day. Highly recommend this tour and in particular Mike (Allied Victory).

We had a great time with Mike at the American D-Day Tour in February 2024. Mike was very communicative prior to the tour and picked us up from our hotel in Bayeux in the morning. From there, we had a full day of sightseeing different towns, a church, several D-day beaches, and the American cemetery. Our group had a wide variety of ages and knowledge/WWII interest levels and there was something for everyone to enjoy. My dad (the WWII buff) said it was the highlight of his whole trip. I'd highly recommend this tour if you only have a short time in Normandy- you really pack in everything you need to see.

My husband and I decided to celebrate our 15th anniversary in Paris. He is not a big museum person but loves history so we decided to do a day trip to Normandy as one of our activities. I researched several options and am so thankful that we went with this tour. Mike was excellent. He picked us up at the train station promptly and had a nice clean van that he used to take us to each site. We got to relive history. My husband said it was one of the very favorite things he did on our trip. Mike and his wife have a B&B in the area and we hope to one day go back and visit and stay overnight in the area. There was more to see but we were limited since we just did the day trip. We definitly got to see the highlights and are so glad we took the time to explore this area of France and see history come alive.

If you are thinking of touring the beaches of Normandy, I highly, highly recommend Allied Victory Tours. My wife, friends, and I spent a profound and memorable day with Mike. In addition to being an expert on the overall picture of the beaches and surrounding area, he has detailed stories of courage, tragedy, and victory. We are grateful that we found Allied Victory Tours. Thank you, Mike.
