After 3 weeks of traveling, this was our last day in South America, and we had a delightful day at The Alpaca ranch and along the beautiful coast with our guide Sean. Sean picked us up at our hotel in a very comfortable and nice vehicle. He had a warm and friendly personality and he made the ride to the ranch very interesting by sharing information on Santiago and Chile. The Alpacas were a lot of fun and super cute. Sean explained the inner workings of the ranch and gave us an armful of grass so we could feed them. We were able to meet the owner, a fascinating woman who runs the ranch along with her daughter and grand daughter!. The wool and clothing produced from the alpacas fur was lovely. , After our visit to the ranch, we drove up to the coast to an outdoor seafood restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious and the view of the turquoise ocean and rocks was spectacular! Such a pleasant lunch! From there we , we headed a little further and parked along the beach and walked a short distance so we could see the penguins on the island. Sean provided binoculars as well as information regarding the penguins. We saw lots of penguins and again the view of the water was incredible! Throughout the day, Sean took lots of great photos that were easy to download. Sean, then drove us to back to Santiago and dropped us off directly at the airport. This is a nice courtesy that Chile Dream Tours provides. Our flight back to the USA wasn't until midnight, so it was so much more enjoyable spending the day on this tour then killing hours and hours in the airport. While in Santiago, we did three different day tours with Chile Dream Tours and they were all very different, and a truly wonderful experience. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a pleasant and fascinating day!

The day was fabulous. The guide Sean was knowledgeable about Chile and was a wealth of information. He explained many of the aspects of Chilean life and the county in general. He responded to messages promptly and answered all and any questions we had. Alpaca Farm was great, very personal, a real working farm, not just something set up for tourists. My daughter loved seeing the penguins. I do recommend paying extra for the boat, especially if you come during a time when most penguins are out to sea.

Awesome! Great fun with a 7 and 10 year old. In May only a few penguins were visible from the shore, and the sea was too rough for a boat ride. Even so the alpacas were a huge hit and the guide was great!

This tour was the highlight of my trip to Chile! This tour (and the other one my group of friends went on) was so easy to set up. Sean was incredibly responsive to our questions and needs. The tour picked us up at our condo in Vina del Mar and our adventure began. The Quintessence alpaca farm we went to was beautiful and the alpacas were so fun to play with. Not many Chileans even know about the penguin colony that's off the coast of Cahchagua! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing some animals in Chile!

We used Chile Dream Tours for 4 days of tours during our pre-cruise stay in Santiago. Seam and his team are excellent, responding to messages promptly and with advice and guidance to help plan the trip. We had driver and guide Daniel for our trip to see Alpacas and Penguins. The alpaca farm is family run and incredibly personal. The alpaca’s are such fun! You get a full tour, and can feed them too. The visit to the beach and the penguins is enjoyable and our lunch at a beach restaurant was excellent.

Wonderful excursion - educational and nice experience learning about alpacas and the lifecycle of alpaca farming. Nice seaside hike on the beach too. We didn't do the additional penguin boating excursion (the water was a bit too rough) but it was still nice looking at the penguins from the shore. Our private driver and guide, Daniel was great! Gave us a lot of information as we drove...was prompt for pick up...made us very comfortable! We really couldn't have asked for more! Definitely recommend!

My husband and I had an absolutely fabulous private tour with Sean from Chile Dream Tours. When planning our time in Chile, I knew I wanted to see penguins. I found Chile Dream Tours online, and they offer an alpacas and penguins tour. Sean was on time and the car/van was very comfortable. We were staying in Valparaiso, so we were picked up from there (rather than Santiago). The whole day was extremely professional. While I originally booked the tour because I wanted to see the wild penguins, the tour at the alpaca farm was a highlight. You could tell the owners really care about the animals, and the alpacas were healthy, happy, and adorable. We were the only ones at the farm (this isn't a zoo/tourist attraction type place) and got to feed, pet, and even hold a baby alpaca. Hard to describe how special the experience was. I also appreciated that while the farm does sell some of their finished alpaca products, there was no pressure to buy anything (but we did anyway, haha). We were lucky enough to have gorgeous sunny weather and the water conditions allowed us to take a small private boat to view the wild penguins closer (they live on a protected island). This was a fun little adventure bouncing around on a small boat in the waves and we could even see some baby penguins on the island. We had lunch at a waterside restaurant in Zapallar after the boat ride and the atmosphere was perfect. Water views, fresh seafood, and Chilean wine. Sean also made a special stop because I wanted to see the ribbon-covered Bridge of Wishes in Horcon (awesome photo ops!). This tour exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it.

This tour was extremely well organized and had such beautiful scenery. The alpaca farm was so knowledgeable and everyone was super friendly. The penguin tour was beautiful as well and had very awesome views of the Pacific Ocean and the penguins. I appreciate the time and effort everyone put into this tour to make it a memorable experience for us. I would highly recommended anyone visiting Chile to do.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Daniel. We learned a lot from the owner of the alpaca farm and got to see all parts of her operation. We didn’t expect to see penguins due to the time of years, but we paid extra to go out on the boat and were rewarded with great views of the entire penguin colony! Highly recommend!

Super unique and engaging tour. I loved the variety of the experience- from a comprehensive tour of an alpaca farm, to beaches, an island of penguins, and a stop over in the town of Zapallar for lunch (recommend getting some local empanadas). We had a fantastic tour guide, Daniel, who made us feel like we weren’t on a tour, but instead hanging out with a local friend. Plus he took amazing photos for us! Highly recommend this tour!

My husband and I booked this tour during our honeymoon. Ask for Sean to be your guide! Sean is professional, friendly and very knowledgeable about Chile. He picked us up from the hotel and we rode in a comfortable van to all our destinations. We loved being surrounded by all the alpacas at the farm and then we took a nice little boat ride to see the one penguins up close. Sean also took photos for us to make sure we had all the memories. We cannot thank him enough for such an amazing experience!

Highly recommend! Unexpectedly enjoyable day trip with Sean from Santiago. Sean was on time (early in fact!) for our completely private tour. We booked this extremely last minute as we were waiting for our negative covid results. Sean organized this really quickly and everything went smoothly. He brought a couple of pairs of binoculars so we could easily spot the penguins. He also took photos and shared them with us afterwards. The restaurant for lunch had great food and an even better view of the ocean. Sean is very knowledgeable about Chile and we learned a lot from him about the history and geography of the country. Alejandra from the alpaca farm gave us an in depth tour as well. The shop has some really lovely items and we were happy to support the local businesses. We had such a good experience with Chile Dream tours that we ended up cancelling a Valparaiso tour with another company (had a bad experience with them) and organizing it with Chile Dream tours instead.

Sean was amazing and spoke perfect English!! He was prompt and the van was immaculate with great air conditioning and the bottled water was a nice touch! This tour exceeded all my expectations and we felt like we were on a National Geographic show!! The Alpaca farm was such a unique and personal experience that I didn’t want to leave and I fell in love with all of them! The owners made us feel like family and what an incredible place! The scenery was beautiful and Sean was so informative as we drove! The penguin island was amazing and the boat tour was perfect seeing them up close and so special because the penguins were guarding their nests and we got to see baby penguins too! Sean helped us to order at lunch and took such great care of us checking in every so often to see if we needed anything and we were not rushed! He helped us also when we bought souvenirs also. I will DEFINITELY book again and am coming back next month! Wonderful Covid protocols and safety procedures! You can feel VERY confident and will not be disappointed!

We had the most WONDERFUL day. Sean was super responsive and helpful as we had to adjust our schedule a bit in order to comply with Covid testing/quarantine guidelines. And then we were off on our day. Quintessence Alpaca Farm was simply incredible; we were introduced to the alpacas with lots of time to learn all about them, to watch them play, to feed them (although they were more interested in their alpaca games), and to even hold a baby one!!! Alejandra, the daughter of the founder of Quintessance showed us all through the facilities where the fiber is processed and woven —- anyone interested in older, elaborate machinery will be blown away. Being German Shepherd fans, we also really enjoyed visits with the K9 members of the family. Then we got to take our time browsing and purchasing in the boutique. The second part of the day took us to the Pacific Coast; viewing the Humboldt penguin colony on their own little island that is off-limits to people. We then enjoyed a relaxing lunch of traditional empanadas from a second floor outdoor dining spot with a view of the ocean and town. When our lunch was a bit delayed, Sean solved the problem and we ended up getting a delicious lunch ON THE HOUSE, as well as an extra order of empanadas to take home for our dinner tonight! Seeing all the countryside and having Sean teach us so much about the history of and present day life in Chile was tremendous. Sean managed to fit everything into our day AND get us back to our hotel in time for an appointment time that couldn’t be missed (a required antigen test that we had to get in order to board our charter flight in the morning). We will remember this day ALWAYS!

I had a perfect day with Chile Dream Tours. After days of quarantining, this nature tour was an excellent antidote. I loved the well operated alpaca farm and secluded trail & beach to see penguin island. Although choppy waters, I would recommend taking the boat ride to see the penguins closer. Also, Sean, who was my guide couldn’t be more accommodating and was full of information about Chile and all specifics of the tour. A definite 5 stars. My suggestion: GO!

Our last day in Chile was unique and exciting! Our first stop was the Alpaca farm where one of the owners gave us a personal tour of the entire operation from meeting the mothers and newborns to observing the production rooms of finished alpaca products.we absolutely loved the farm experience! Then off to the coast where we met a fisherman who transported us on his fishing boat to an island to view the Humboldt penguins, pelicans and seagulls- simply amazing. Our tour finished at a fantastic seafood restaurant. Before arriving at the restaurant our tour guide stopped to say hello to a local fisherman/diver who just returned from a sea urchin dive and shared a couple of freshly shucked sea urchins with us! Our guide was Sean Casey who was splendid. His explanations and enthusiasm added to our enjoyment of the tour. He was caring and made us feel so comfortable and safe during the entire tour. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see something off the beaten track. You will be astonished!

When you have good guides, you have a good trip. Estaban and Gen made it happen! Estaban picked us up at our hotel in the center of Santiago in a comfortable vehicle. On the way through the countryside, he explained much about the area and we were able to have our questions answered. Our first stop with the alpaca farm, the highlight of our tour! How could we not all in love with these frolicking, adorable animals? We even able to see a 1 day old cutie standing proudly! We were able to feed the animals and see all 80+ of different colors and ages. Having a tour of the whole operation including machinery, workers, and the finished products, made the tour complete. Next, we were off to meet Gen for our penguin tour. We traveled by motorboat to an island preserve where we viewed the penguins from the boat. Our private photographers, Gen & Estaban, did a good job of capturing them guarding their eggs and preforming balancing acts as they maneuvered the uneven rock formations. Both Gen and Estaban let us borrow their jackets since it was a little cool on the water...how generous was that? A warning to you--bring a jacket. Next was lunch time at a very good sea food restaurant in this upscale area of Chili. We were not rushed and enjoyed one of the outside scenic tables. (Lunch not included). At the end of the tour we were given the digital photos taken to ensure we will always remember this special day. Book it. You will not be disappointed.

We had a fantastic trip. At the Alpaca farm, a little baby was born right while we were there! How amazing to see a newborn. The Alpacas are beautiful animals and you literally get to hold them in your arms. The owner of the farm gave us a great tour. The trip to the Penguins reminded us of going to Carmel, California. Simply breathtaking scenery and you will see lots of wildlife. We had a lovely lunch at the seaside. Our guide was excellent and told us a lot about Chile as we drove through the scenic countryside.
