Dougha and Bulla Regia were fantastic, and Ahmed made the tour a really pleasant tour thanks to his knowledge and charming personality

We had a great time with our guide Mr. Fehmi. He was prompt with pick-up and was knowledgeable about both the archaeology sites of Dougga and Bulla Regia. Tour was paced so that you don't spend more than an hour in the car before you got to a site or rest point. Lots of great Roman architecture and frescos to look at here. Our guide included a lot of tid bits and knowledge of various things, including more current affairs and questions about Tunisia. Was willing to accommodate a different drop off point and we highly recommend this tour and our guide! :)

This was an absolutely excellent tour. We were able to take the tour in English, our guide was extremely knowledgable and willing to answer any questions. Dougga and Bulla Regia are beautiful archeological sites. Even though it was a weekend, we were some of the only people visiting and had most of the sites to ourselves. We'd highly recommend this tour!

We booked a wonderful private tour to the Romano-Berber towns of Dougga and Bulla Regia with Didon Tours while visiting Tunis in January. The tour included a short stop in Testour along the way for photos and some delicious street food. These locations are fairly remote — several hours from Tunis by car. We felt a private tour would be the best way to maximize our time at the sites. It was a long day, full of amazing history and culture, and was worth every penny. Our tour guide and driver, Chaouki, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He picked up very quickly on our areas of interest and custom-tailored our tour to focus exactly on what we were wanted to see. He gave us great tips on where to take the best photos and allowed us ample time to get our photos just right. There were almost too many highlights to list, but notable among them were: the astounding minaret and incredible street food in Testour, the beautifully preserved structures of Dougga, the vastness of Bulla Regia and its incredible bathhouse, the mind-boggling subterranean villas of both with some of the most amazing in situ mosaics you will see anywhere in the Mediterranean, and — naturally — the beautiful, fertile rolling hills and pastoral landscapes of Northwestern Tunisia. It's like a little slice of Tuscany in North Africa. Absolutely sublime. Our tour began early in the morning (approximately 8:00am) and ended around 6:00pm. Chaouki picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel in the Medina. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We enjoyed it so much, in fact, that we booked a second tour to El Jem with Chaouki and Didon later in the week! To those who are accustomed to group tours, the price point may be a little higher than you are expecting, but you will be getting a private, personalized experience with a knowledgeable expert. I have taken many tours in many different countries. This tour was without a doubt one of the best I've ever been on. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommended!

The trip was absolutely perfect. After a perfectly on time arrival (8am) we moved through all the sites at a very good pace. The guide (Ahmed) was fantastic and the driver was very good. While Testour and Bulla Regia are great, the crown jewel of this trio is Dougga and that alone is worth it. The site is incredible impressive and the information the guide had was varied and helpful. Absolutely recommend this trip if you have the time. Worth every dollar. For some context I went in January (9th) and it was a little rainy/cold but nothing unbearable.

Dougga is an exceptional site and worth the trip alone. The other two sites were more cherries on top that anything. Cannot express how much bigger this is in person (pardon my photographs in advance) it’s a be there and see to believe sort of place. The tour guide and driver arrived precisely on time (8am pick up) and it was a full day that concluded at around 5pm. The information was all very clear and helpful and the guide answered many of my other questions on the sites. I really enjoyed every step of the trip and felt safe, comfortable, and would recommend it for anyone looking to avoid a headache and wanting a good trip at a fair cost point. Would definitely do this tour or tour with the company again.

Becem was a fantastic guide. He’s a bit of a crazy Tunisian driver, but we like that (some people may not though)!! That experience was cultural however. Additionally, he told us so much about the region and introduced us to local delights like makloub and fresh pomegranate juice. The guides that showed us around Bulla Regia and Dougga were extremely knowledge and we learned so much. We got more than we expected out of this trip and we totally recommend. We would never have been able to see this much of Tunisia on our own.

A packed adventure! Kairouan, El Jem and Monastir all offer something different and it really allows you to experience the different cultures that were present in the history of Tunisia. Our guide Ahmed was very knowledgeable, and we had a really good time.

Great tour! The company was very accommodating to do an earlier departure time than normal to fit my schedule. Guide and driver were great. Testour was a quick little stop to see the public bath and mosque. Dougga was absolutely breathtaking and with being there early, we had the place to ourselves. An adorable cat joined us for most of our tour. Bulla Regia was also fascinating with its underground mosiacs. Ahmed was my guide and he was terrific with communication the day before and was very knowledgeable.

Chowki our guide was excellent! He was full of energy, passion and a very good/sfae driver. he also knows where the best spots for photos!

The tour was great, our guide Chaouki was very knowledgeable and funny. We had a big delicious lunch which wasn’t included but for reasonable price. Chaouki has a very good sense of humour and I’d recommend this tour for everyone.

The tour was well organized and matched the description. Mr Chaouki, the guide, made the day very special. He really knew what he was talking about and offered, right from the beginning, important information about the tour itself and the sites to be seen. Something that really called my attention was his respect for the places we were visiting - for example, telling me to avoid walking on the roman tiles, so as to preserve them better. We had lunch in a local restaurant in front of Bulla Regia. Convenient and simple, with tasteful food. The driving time is ok and you will be watching beautiful landscapes. I consider now Dougga a must, even more than Carthage, where you are left to check everything on your own with random information and groups of turists. Absolutely 5 stars.

I am writing this review just an hour after finishing my day trip to Bulla Regia and Dougga and I’m having a hard time putting how much I loved this trip into words. Both sites were absolutely stunning and so rich with history that if you love Ancient Rome you could easily spend a day at each place. There was a lot of driving but you spend the whole time enjoying the Tunisian countryside and Atlas Mountains in the distance that for me, the time went very quickly. Our driver, Ussama, was very nice, on time, and made sure we got to each place safely. My most favorite part of the whole day however was our Tour Guide Rafiq (I’m so sorry if I’m not spelling this correctly). His love for the sites and history was wonderful and he was incredibly knowledgeable. Every question I had, he had an answer (and I asked A LOT of questions 😅). This was by far my most favorite part of my trip to Tunis and I will always remember it. Thank you ❤️

Wonderful tour! My guides name is Mr Chaouki, and he was very friendly, accommodating, and took care of me as we made our way to all the gorgeous sites. I felt that I had each site to myself, we made it there early before all the crowds. It was amazing, I highly recommend this tour.

Great tour or amazingly preserved Roman city and mosaics at another site that look almost as they likely did 2000+ years ago. Ilyas was a great guide and the tour was well paced.

Although it was a long day (I knew it would be), I couldn't have asked for more on this tour: Great sights, beautiful landscape scenery, fresh air, and a fantastic impromptu lunch (best grilled lamb ever). Most importantly, though, the tour was led by an excellent, knowledgeable, personable, caring, and just downright nice guy! Thanks, Chaouke, for making my short time in Tunisia memorable.
