My friend and I (2 females from New Zealand) recently travelled to Sri Lanka for 2 weeks. Thanks to this page, I found Sheehan from Lux Traveller. He was fantastic. He met us at the airport (close to midnight) and was efficient and professional throughout. His driving was excellent. We felt safe the whole time (the usual driving in Sri Lanka is not at the safety level that we are used to in NZ. Sheehan however was incredibly safe). In advance a price and itinerary were decided on but we made some small changes to the itinerary during the trip which was no problem. I was initially apprehensive but my mind was put at ease. We had an amazing tour around Sri Lanka with Shehan as our driver. We stayed there 14 days and he prepared a really nice itinerary. It was our short and first time trip to Sri Lanka . As we are frequent traveller so we booked our flights and hotels in advance. We just had total of 4 days 11 to 14th Nov 2023 . In this short period of time , it is damn difficult to explore places . October 2023 - our 20th anniversary - surprise trip for my husband. I couldn't get answear from another tourist company (waiting more than a week for reply) than on Friday (one day before flight) i contacted Sheehan and - after 1 hour i had a plan of one week Sri Lanka trip! Very convenient & fast contact on What's App. I felt like it's a gift from above :-))) Everything was great, lot's of attractions and flexibility of our tourist guide. He is very kind, polite and taking care of us all the time, advising, talking about his country with great english. He knew it was a stress for me to organise it in so short time, so ayurveda massage was great option :-) On our wedding anniversary we saw our car full of red baloons (heart shape) and a frame with our photo in a frame - so sweet :) we didn't expect that - thank You Sheekhan! He also gave us many advises about hotels, traditions, money etc. We couldn't have had better tourist guide for that time!

Returning to the paradise island after 20 years was an amazing experience. On the one hand, it is still the same island, full of natural charms and incredibly hospitable people. On the other hand, it is a place where you can see that people started investing their savings collected during the civil war - new hotels of a very decent standard and price, restaurants and shopping centers comparable to those in Europe. Despite knowing the main attractions on the island, we decided, for our own convenience and to save time (because you explore differently within 5 months of time and you do it differently when having only 10 days) a local guide - Shehan Fernando and his company LuxtravellerSriLanka. Shehan demonstrated great organization, communication skills and punctuality. He arranged the plan in accordance with the points we expected, but also suggested new places that I had not had the opportunity to visit before. We will be happy to use his services on our next visit to Sri Lanka in the future.

It was an excellent trip organised by shehan and executed by Mahesh. The trip was customised keeping in mind the places I suggested. Hotels were all good with great breakfast and dinner. Mahesh was very helpful as a guide and driver. He tells you briefly about the history of all the places and very kind. The best guide - unforgettable experience! It was a great pleasure to meet Shahan - great personality - taking care of almost every desire his guest or visitors have had during the tour. I visited Sri Lanka 2 weeks ago with my boyfriend. I read reviews about Shahan, decided to book him for his services to go to different parts of Sri Lanka. The best tourist guide, also found a Friend!! I came to Colombo with my mother who is 81 years old and with my girlfriend.
