Despite a two-hour ship delay, Diki and Bima patiently waited, ensuring we didn't miss our amazing private Surabaya tour. The city tour was fascinating, taking us to the Submarine Monument, the bustling Ampel Arabian Market, and the iconic Surabaya Heroes Monument. I highly recommend their services!

It was a great trip! The tour guide and the driver pick us up at the port on time. The car was very comfortable even though the weather in Surabaya was very hot that day. The guide giving us the information about the city and sometimes the driver tell us about the jokes in Surabaya. They are very nice and welcome.

Elvira and her driver were very friendly and professional. Unfortunately our ship was late docking so they had to wait 2 hours for our arrival but they were really lovely and made us feel welcome. Elvira made sure she answered our questions about where we visited clearly and accurately. We really enjoyed our adventure driving through the fish market 😊

This was the tour guides 2nd tour, and the drivers 1st tour. The air-conditioning in the back of the car was broken and the car was very hot! We were promised an air-conditioned vehicle as it is necessary in this city. There was no value added as the tour guide read from a fact sheet about the city. The driver had to get gas within the first 15 minutes. After 30 minutes we ended the tour and had them drop us at a mall. It was waste of a day. The only upside is that the tour operator Volunteered to refund us. But that does not compensate us for the only day that we had in the city.

My historical tour with Ryan was very informative and he was only too happy for me to linger and soak up the vibes. Strolling down back alleys,chatting with the locals and even taking me to get my sandals repaired. I can Highly recommend this tour company. The submarine museum tour was the highlight of this tour. Andri, our driver and also our tour guide kept us well informed and educated explaining its background history. He speaks very good English. He maximized our limited time by giving us the options on where we wanted to go informing us on how long it will take to go back to the cruise ship. Enjoyed the tour.

Aldi met us at the cruise port on time. We had a nice communications, he notified us in advance when he was going to be in the port. Aldi was very polite, he opened car doors for us. His car had A/C to feel comfortable since we are used to cooler temperatures. He gave us a little of history overview and took us to the places in Surabaya as was agreed. We loved our day out with Andri. Not only did he tell us in great detail about his home town, but he navigated us safely through quite "interesting" Surabaya traffic. We saw examples of the wide cultural diversity of the area. A great activity which is highly recommended.

I reached out for a custom Surabaya tour focused on antique shops that I had identified (there are a lot in the city!). My guide Ryan was very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. We explored antique shops all around the city and he even found some things that reminded him of his childhood. I got to try coto makassar for lunch and had a nice treat by the mosque. Andri was a superb guide through some of Surabaya's historic sites, including the Heroes Monument and the surrounding November 10th museum, the submarine monument, a trip to Sanggar Ungung Temple, and Surabaya City Square/Balai Pemuda. The trip was pleasant, the pick-up from the hotel on time, and Andri was happy to field questions and discuss much else besides about contemporary Indonesian life. There was thankfully also no 'hidden charges' as some guides might be want to do, or pushiness to buy something or hurry up, and Andri graciously took care of all the purchasing of tickets, payments for entrance to parking etc. While there is not much to complain about, one minor point to consider is the website itinerary in the 'What to expect' section is not completely up-to-date; we did not visit for example the Ampel Mosque, or the Fish Market, and especially sad for me, the Sampoerna Museum tobacco factory which I had heard a lot about. Some of this is beyond the guide's control (apparently the tobacco factory hasn't re-opened since COVID), but nevertheless given it was listed, I did nevertheless have my hopes up! Overall, highly recommended if you have a short time in Surabaya and want to cover some of the most important and iconic places in the city within a day!
