The guides Angela and Jamie were knowledgeable and friendly. They knew all the best places for our chosen visits and ensured we got to do everything we wanted. Great people. Highly recommend.

We should leave more time in Quito however we only have one day. Angela and Jamie picked us up at 8:30AM on time, during this day we visited teleferico cable, San Francisco Church, Basílica del Voto Nacional, old downtown and middle of the world, everything is fully arranged and we backed to hotel around 6PM. Angela is an experienced, knowledgeable guide and Jamie is an experienced driver who is familiar with all the road conditions. We will definitely choose them and recommend to our friends if someone would like to visit Quito.

Our private tour of Quito was arranged and conducted by Paul Esteban Romero (WhatsApp +593 99-118-0421). A few weeks before arriving in Quito we connected with Esteban to describe what we wanted and he put together a lovely day tour specifically centred on our request. This also included a private van pickup at our hotel near the airport which was very convenient for us. His in-depth knowledge of Quito and broader Ecuador made the day very informative and enjoyable. We toured La Compania and La Basilica churches, walked through the streets of Quito and did some shopping and enjoyed our trip to El Panecillo Hill to visit Our Lady of El Panecillo. Due to slightly overcast weather later in the day we were unable to make the trek up the Teleferico cable car - however Esteban had included this in our itinerary and we would have gone with better weather. Outstanding job by Esteban and Marcelo for our excellent day in Quito. Another fantastic feature of this tour is that it was less than half the price of other similar tours provided by ‘group’ tour companies. We happily paid in cash and feel we got a fantastic tour! Booked this trip with my husband & friend who brought their whole family! It ended up being a party of seven of us! Angela & Jamie were incredible guides (seriously so knowledgeable) & contacted us a few days before to modify the tour to our needs. We got to see so much in one day and had a private temperature controlled van! We checked off all of our top sites we wanted to see and they added some extras in like chocolate tastings and a lunch at a delicious empanada place. My husband and I a lovely and informative time walking around Quito and Middle of the World tour with Jamie and Angela. They were brialliant hosts to this beautiful city. They were great company, very accomodating, understading and not intrusive at all. Also, we had the most delicious empanadas! The tour went beyond the allocated time by the time we finished at Middle of the World site but Jamie and Angela were patiently waiting and reassuring that we would be in time to catch our flight. We had a great time and highly recommend Jamie and Angela to anyone considering going to Quito.

Angela and Jamie were amazing. They did not rush us with timing and were very flexible and accommodating to our needs. I felt that they truly enjoy what they do. Made us feel like we were hanging out with old friends. Definitely recommend.

Angela and Jamie picked us up right on time at our hotel and gave us a fantastic tour day. We got to see everything we wanted to and they were great at making suggestions and adjusting the tour. Unfortunately the cable car was broken, but Jamie knew just where to walk to get us a great view of Cotopaxi while the clouds were parted. We also happened to be by the Presidential Palace during the changing of the guards and got to see the new president come out and greet the people. All in all it was a really fantastic day were we really got a nice feel for the city of Quito and some of the amazing history and culture there. I highly recommend booking with them if you're in the area. They'll treat you like old friends and you'll be in great hands.

We loved Angela and Jamie! They were very knowledgeable, personable and engaging. We enjoyed spending the day with them. They had a great flow to the day and did a good job spacing out activities so that you have a balance as well as more active vs more restful. We felt we got a great dose of everything to see in Quito. I loved the cacao tasting, visiting museums and experiencing the equator activities. They are fun to hang with so it’s nice if you have to spend a day with guides they are lots of fun. We had some great deep convos as well. I highly recommend getting a tour done by them!

We spent two amazing days with Jamie and Angela touring Quito and the region around Otavalo before our 8 day cruise in the Galapagos. We investigated a number of tour companies which had standardized options and came upon Let’s Go to Ecuador on the Quito Marriott site as a unique, individualized travel guide option. We were interested in knowing more about the history of Ecuador, the first people, the culture, historic sites and nature. We immediately contacted Jamie and Angela and designed the perfect trip. We visited Guapalo, the Guayasamin Foundation, Plaza Grande, the Compania Church, the Presidential Palace, walked Ronda street, had a delicious lunch in the monastery off Plaza San Francisco, and a visit to a chocolate firm where we tasted and learned about the process of harvesting and processing the chocolate nut. The city was decorated in colorful flags for the celebration of the founding of Quito which made our visit extra special. We then drove to Panecillo Hill with great views of the city and the statue of the Virgin Mary. On the way back to our hotel we stopped to see the gold statues at the National Museum. On day 2 we had an expedition to Otavalo with spectacular views of the volcanos en route. We stopped at the the Museo Solar which was a real highlight about the history and geography of the equator, the importance of the equator to the first peoples and the recent archeological finds based on the ancient solar markings. We visited the world famous market in Otavalo, the leather town of Cotacacchi with a delicious lunch and a visit to the hand weaver in Peguche who is one of only 38 remaining weavers using the hand loom. On the return we took a drive and hike to Laguna de Cuicocha. A beautiful lagoon in a collapsed crater with 2 islands in the middle. The only regret that we have is that we did not schedule additional days for more excursions with Jamie and Angela who were fabulous guides and educators. We enjoyed our conversations and sites with Jamie and Angela. They are 5+ star guides, passionate about Ecuador.

Prior to going to the Galapagos Islands, we spent one entire day touring the city with the amazing bilingual private guide Cesar Luis of Transporte y Turismo. For a family of four, the tour was $220 + $60 tip. The Quito day tour was showing as sold out on TripAdvisor, so I emailed Jamie and Angela of Let's Go To Ecuador directly to get connected with Cesar Luis. We saw all the highlights of Quito: giant Virgin statue on the Panecillo, the awe-inspiring Basilica, Independence Square, San Francisco Church and Square, Compania Church, a chocolate factory, the Middle of the World monument, actual Middle of the World/Intinan Museum. We paid all admission fees ($2-10) as these weren't included in the tour cost. I thought I would feel ill during the tour due to the altitude, but after a cup of mate de coca tea for breakfast and some ibuprofen, I was fine. Cesar Luis knew the detailed history of all the sights we saw and made it super interesting. He also helped us take a lot of family photos. My husband and son climbed the ladder stairs suspended in air up the Falcon Tower at the Basilica along with Cesar Luis, while my daughter and I didn't as we are afraid of heights. We were still able to get incredible city views by climbing a less scary set of spiral stairs up one of the Basilica clock towers. For lunch, Cesar Luis took us to a traditional Chilean empanada (large baked or fried dumplings stuffed with meat or vegetables) place that was delicious - we insisted on paying for his lunch as well. Quito has an issue with crime and pickpockets (unlike the Galapagos), so Cesar Luis kept cautioning us to keep our backpacks in front of us. I found out later that he is a martial arts specialist, so that was also reassuring! Highly recommend this tour!

Jamie and Angela gave us a brilliant start to our trip. They are so knowledgeable and positive about Quito/Ecuador and what it has to offer. Our tour was just what we wanted and exceeded our expectations of the city and environs. They are good company too. Book them whilst they are still available!

Absolutely wonderful! Angela(?) and her husband Jamie were very knowledgeable and happy to explain the significance of the sights along the way as well as at each stop. We even had an unplanned stop to watch the changing of the guards at the square in front of the Presidential Palace.

My family and me are very happy to have Jamie and Angela as our tour guides, they made the tour more memorable. They were always on time, the Cars were spotless and they were very accomodating and helpful in case we need something. Also, Angela was very generous in sharing her knowledge of Equador history. Equador had many sites we would like to visit and I would love to have Jamie and Angela as our tour guides again.

We had two awesome days in Quito, Ecuador with Angela and Jamie. First, they arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and transfer us to our hotel. The next day, they took us on a walking tour of the old town of Quito. They took us to a small local restaurant for lunch where the chef specializes in making empanadas. It was our best meal there! They also reccomended other local restaurants to eat in. Angela is Peruvian and Jamie is from Canada, but both are extremely knowledgeable about Ecuador, and love to show off their country, history and culture. They were very fun to spend the day with. Prompt and friendly!

We had an awesome time with Angela & Jamie! They were prompt, knowledgeable, friendly and just the best guides you can ask for! We had a great time on the City Tour. With a private lunch at a great local restaurant that made the best empanadas ever! It was a great tour! Even after our tour, 3 weeks later after the Galapagos we had a long layover at the Quito Airport so we called up Angela & Jamie and asked if there was something to do until our departure. They were already booked but they arranged for a driver and made an appointment for a private tour at a local rose farm. This was very very nice of them to do this for us. We can’t recommend them enough, they were fantastic!!! 👍👍
