We had a wonderful day!! Amer was the best tour guide. Lots of interesting new things to taste at the market. The Fort was interesting and beautiful. To finish the tour we visited the Green Mountain! The view was spectacular and we had an amazing lunch. Thank you! 🙏🏼

Amer arrived earlier, which was very good for me because I was eager to start the trip already. When I travel, I like to learn about the culture and history of the place I'm visiting and he offered me exactly that. He knows a lot about the geography, history, and culture of Oman, so we had a lot to talk about during the trip. We started in Muskat and went to Nizwa first. There he came with me throughout the souq where he explained the different customs regarding trade of livestock (I have to participate in the souq on Friday morning now) and I particularly found the Date souq interesting, where I learned a lot about the different varieties. I then managed to take some photos among the pottery and admire the silver work. The Fort is stunning, and actually seeing a citadel built with trap doors was fascinating. I thought those were only in the movies. We then went to Al Jabal Al Akhdar, the Green Mountain, but first, we stopped to admire the ancient irrigation system, which is still in use today and is a Unesco heritage site. The view from up the mountain is breathtaking. You can see the terraced landscape where locals grow roses. Amer's personality is very warm and pleasant and when I come back I'll definitely book a trip with him.

We had a very short time in Muscat and arranged - on very short notice - a one day tour to Nizwa and Jebel Akhdar with Oman Star Tours. The manager is quick to respond and was very flexible - he also moved things around just so we could see the Grand Mosque in Muscat (not part of the tour), as it would have been closed the next day, which was a Friday. The tour guide we were assigned, Khalid, is just a lovely human! He was very knowledgeable and a lovely man to chat to. He was calm, patient, and very gentle in his demeanour. We had a very fun time exploring the Nizwa Souq with Khalid - and even tasted his wife’s favourite halwa in Oman! Nizwa castle and fort were both a lot of fun, and you learn a lot about Oman from Nizwa’s history. The sightseeing would have been so much less fun without Khalid leading the way and explaining various facts - he even bought us Omani bread (a traditional and delicious snack) in Nizwa :-) the views from Jebel Akhdar are stunning and we got to explore village irrigation systems and old villages too. We we’re impressed with how much was packed in a short day and would highly highly recommend this company. The prices are also very reasonable for what you get (including level of service) and they are flexible with payment method too. We’ll come back to Oman - and we won’t hesitate to use Oman Star Tours again to see more of this lovely country!

The Jebel Akhdar and Nizwa tour was a true marvel, offering a rich tapestry of places highlighted in our itinerary for a full-day adventure. It was an absolute gem of a trip, and I can confidently say it was the best experience. Gratitude for this remarkable journey.

Our choice to embark on the Nizwa tour was nothing short of spectacular. We explored the historic fort, immersed ourselves in the vibrant souq, strolled through the charming Al Hamra, and embarked on the unforgettable Misfat Al Arbiyeen journey. In these ancient villages, we delved deep into the local way of life, surrounded by lush palm tree plantations.

Exploring Nizwa and the Grand Canyon of Oman left us in awe of the breathtaking views. Our tour guide not only ensured our safety with careful driving but also made certain that we had an unforgettable and enjoyable trip.

Starting from Muscat we continue our program to the City of Nizwa wher we visited the souq, fort and the old villages at Birkat al mouz. Our guide help us to walk around and to have some coffe from the coffe shop there:) and we stay for a while to relax before we starts the next visit. Highly recommend.

My husband and I were so lucky to have Ali as our tour guide throughout Nizwa, Jebel Akhdar, and Birkat Al Mouz. Ali was incredibly kind and generous (offered us Omani tea & coffee on the way there & back and made sure we had water). He was excited to share his love for his country and culture with us. We never once felt rushed throughout the day - so much so, that we lost track of time and the tour day finished up a couple hours later than originally planned! Thank you, Ali, for a wonderful day! We wish we could have stayed in Oman longer to learn & see more.

We had a fabulous day with Khalfan, who was a brilliant guide; we could not recommend him more! He was very knowledgable about the areas he showed us and took good care of us all day; providing plenty of water and helping us choose lunch! He also took lots of photos of us exploring. Trip to Nizwa and jebel akdhar with my best travel partner was amazing and we enjoyed the day with our fantastic tour guide we felt like he was a longtime friend we felt comfortable with him during the tour in Nizwa and Jebel Akdhar .I highly recommend him uf you want also to visit this place.

A wonderful time in Nizwa and Jebel Akhdar with star tours oman and our tour guide he was very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. The places we had visited was super amazing and relaxing. It’s really worth to see, jebel akhdar is breathtaking, cool weather. Only a 4WD vehicle is allowed to go up, police were checking in the main gate before you go to the mountain.

Great Historical Trip, it has beautiful scenery and mountain views. The Jabrin Castle is an old archaeological site that used Omani architecture in a beautiful and stunning way. Our guide said the Bahla fort is the largest Fort in Oman and one of the biggest mud brick forts on the world. The place is huge where you can easily spend hours exploring different sections of the first. Nizwa is the highlight place. Nizwa fort and Nizwa Souq visited at the same day. Must visit this historical trip in Oman.

Historical and cultural Oman Best historical place I had visited the local people are so nice. We had a fantastic tour guide during the tour in Oman. The jebel Akhdar Diannas view point was breathtaking place. I highly recommend.

The goat market at Nizwa was chaotically fascinating. You must be early. No later than 7 am. The cool contrast in the mountains was very enjoyable. A serious mountain road. Our driver/ guide Ahmed was so caring friendly and professional. Highly recommended.
