Gerhard picked us up from the train station in time and drove around and explained every aspect of the story and filming of The Sound of Music. He was knowledgable and explained everything very nicely.

Our time with Christian was excellent. He was able to make recommendations that fit our desires in the 4 hours we spent with him. Even through a downpour, we still checked off our bucket list! So worth it! We were a family of 4 with adult children!

Bernie is a super knowledgeable and flexible tour guide, who made sure we tailor our itinerary according to our interests. Not only did he give us a tour around the city showing us all the beautiful architecture and sharing his knowledge about history, but he also told us about everyday life, Austrians in general, and gave us the best tips on cafes and restaurants, which we really appreciated as it always takes us forever to find a place. Our tour guide Bernie took care of every detail of our fabulous day in and around Salzburg….he even pivoted to add in several ‘non-Sound Of Music’ stops for members in our family including Hohenwerfen Castle and the Red Bull hangars . We feel we’ve seen and experienced all we could during our tour .

We were staying in Salzburg and did a an all day tour to several cities outside Salzburg and am I glad we decided to do a private tour of Salzburg. This is an excellent tour. If you only have a short time in Salzburg then you must take this tour. Our guide was interesting and knowledgeable and while we only had a short time there, our guide made sure we had a great overall tour seeing the highlights of Salzburg. We plan to go back and stay a couple of days next time. It is a beautiful city.

We 8 of us took the custom tour of Salzburg. Our guide Bernhard of Be Special Tours was wonderful. He showed us all the highlights of Salzburg and took us out in the country to view the incredible countryside, surrounding mountains, lake area and many of the Sound of Music venues.
