It was interesting to visit a local market and shop for the ingredients. Our teacher was friendly and we had a lot of fun while cooking. The foods tasted delicious! The kitchen was extremely clean and fresh ingredients. We had nice time while talking with the family also. We got the recipes and I’m definetely going to make these at home to my friends & family.

My wife and I so enjoyed our time with Mam at My Thai Cooking. Mam first took us to the market near her home to purchase ingredients for the lunch we made together. The market itself is such a sensory delight, full of unfamiliar colors, sounds, and smells and without a tourist in sight. Cooking with Mam at her home was both comfortable and lots of fun. It felt like we were cooking with someone we had known for a long time. We were also grateful for the recipes Mam sent us after our lunch—we plan on doing our best to replicate our delicious meal at home! I highly recommend that you cook with Mam on your next trip to Bangkok rather than going to one of the larger and more impersonal cooking schools.

Our cooking class was awesome! We loved going to the local market first and then learning how to cook several special Thai dishes. We enjoyed preparing the meal (with lots of help) and of course we loved eating our creations. In addition since we were in Bangkok for the lantern festival we bought the materials to make our own lantern to launch (again with lots of help). Our lantern was truly authentic!

Mam was the best cooking teacher! We met Mam and walked through a local market that's not very known to foreigners. It really felt like an authentic, local experience to grab ingredients for our cooking class. We went to her home where we had our private cooking class and learned how to make 4 new dishes of our choice. Food was fantastic, and we cooked with new Thai vegetables that we've never heard of/tried before! Such a knowledgeable, fun, cooking class. Would recommend it to anyone interested in learning how to make Thai food!

The instructor was very kind and fun. I learned a lot in the class and can replicate the recipes in my own home now. The market tour was also very interesting. I would definitely recommend this to a friend or even do it again (with different dishes).

We met Mam and she took us through the local market and taught us about some of the local fruits and vegetables. We then went back to her home and cooked 4 dishes that turned out delicious. Mam was amazing and gave us a top notch experience. She is very easy to talk with and we didn't want to leave. I highly recommend to anyone traveling through Bangkok who likes to cook!

I did the private lesson with Mam. We went over the market together picking the vegetables needed for the dishes I chose. It was great getting a lot of small tips and hands-on guidance. This will help me make better Thai food at home myself from now on (or at least I hope).

Mam was very friendly and knowledgeable. I went to the class with my 3 kids (13, 10 & 8 yo). We all loved the cooking experience and learnt a lot. The market tour was also good and we enjoyed taking photos there. I would very highly recommend this activity. We loved all the food we cooked and Mam was brilliant.

Great experience! We first we messaged each other to help customized my favorite thai dishes I wanted to make in the evening. The Market tour was great, as Mam would explain to me the different ingredients and what to look out for. After we got picked up by her husband and welcomed to her home. She will build her recipe toward your preference and liking. We started prep work, which was very hand ons where and she would explain what she would do and walk you through it. I wanted to do it myself and she would just guide me on the right method and technique. Enjoyed the meal I prepared and the experience of cooking with Mam. Highly Recommend!

We just had an amazing experience with Mam today on our private Thai cooking class. I went with my 8yo daughter and we were able to cooked a traditional thai non spicy dish where she could enjoy it too. I got lost because the place was little bit far from my hotel and I ended up arriving 40min late. However Mam was super kind and understood our late arrival. The market experience was good, food was delicious and we had a warmer welcome from Mam. I highly recommend this cooking class specially if you are going with small kids. She has a lot of patience with kids and my daughter was able to hands on and cooking the whole time. Thanks Mam!

We had a great time learning to cook some Thai dishes with Mam and hope to work them into our menu when we get home.

Mem was so wonderful! I really enjoyed seeing the market with her, and the food we cooked was delicious. She explained all of the ingredients and techniques, and offered a lot of substitution ideas for ingredients I might not be able to find in the US. Great experience all around.

Mam is so friendly and fun. It is like cooking at home with your family. She walks you through the recipe assigns you to tasks and you learn how to create your favorite Thai dishes. I am so happy we chose to cook with Mam.

My wife and I love Thai food and doing a cooking class was on our honeymoon bucket list. Mam made it so enjoyable, the food was absolutely delicious, and she picked us up and dropped us off at the BTS to make transport super easy. This was a unique solo experience. I was collected by Mam and her husband, Bjorn, in their air conditioned car at the agreed venue and transported to the food market for a look around. Mam bought me some street food to sample as we wandered around picking up some of the ingredients we would be using during the afternoon. I was able to ask her questions about the ingredients on display as we passed them. Then back to her and Bjorn’s home to start the cooking. The whole experience was very informative and relaxed. I cook a lot of Asian food at home but it was useful to pick up on the details that you don’t get from recipe books. Also discovered a new special grater for making the Green Papaya Salad - a definite must! A fabulous experience and well worth it. Highly recommend. Thanks Mam and Bjorn.

Fantastic cooking course. Fantastic food (and lunch - the food we made with Mam's help). Interesting and enjoyable visit to a large local market. And Mam and Bjorn are fantastic and fully focused on ensuring their guests get the most our of the cooking course. Lots of great meals to choice from. Pick up and drop off at the BTS was really easy and worked seamlessly. I cannot recommend this cooking course enough. We did the private course. I recommended it for the personal attention you have to get. Well worth the cost.

What a fantastic experience this was. We got to go to the locals' market with Mam to do some shopping before we cooked, and WOW what an amazing time it was! Almost worth its own tour. Hands on cooking lessons were top notch and we left feeling like we could actually recreate these dishes back at home, and can't wait to do it. My wife and I are truly grateful to Mam, her husband, and prep assistant's hospitality and instruction. I can't recommend this enough. We had booked this more as needing something to do in the AM after a long bit of traveling while we waited for our hotel room to be ready for check in. As it turns out it was one of the top things we did during out two week honeymoon in Thailand.
