Pall is an amazing guide. He met with us before to talk about the trip and also gave us a quick tour of Reggimiore. He is an American but living here for over 20 years with a very unique perspective. Learned so much about the nature,walls, etc. he was so very mindful of the walking level and made it attainable and fun. The best!

Tour was great, learned about the history of the area, the farming and fishing culture, and the history of the villages. Pall was a great guide, very knowledgeable of the area, as a 22 year resident, he really likes to showcase his home.

Thankful doesn't even begin to describe how my husband and I feel after this experience. Pall's tour was one of a kind and our favorite part of our 3-week Italy trip! He was very communicative way before our tour date, and I felt very comfortable knowing where to go and how to find him the morning of. We hiked on unique paths, learned so much about the nature, produce, and history of Cinque Terre that we would have never gotten out of a tour book (especially Rick Steves :P). In terms of hiking, my husband and I are both ok fit, but Pall made sure to take breaks to explain things, and it did not feel as hard as it would have been doing it on our own. Pall aso knew almost every local in each town we explored, and it made us feel like we also belonged to the community. If you are staying in Cinque Terre for any amount of time, this tour is absolutely worth it and is honestly a steal for the price! Take the time to book ahead with Pall and you will walk away having the time of your life like we did!

This was a great tour, Pall was excellent, very knowledgeable about the history of the area, flora, farming. It was somewhat challenging in parts but Paul kept the pace easy, the views were amazing. He recommended an excellent place for Lunch.

This was such an amazing tour and so glad that we did this. Our guide was so knowledgeable about the area and the history and he taught us so much about why the villages came about and that made the cinque terre so much more special and we appreciate it so much more. Pall met us outside our lodging in Manarola and we started the trek upwards there towards Riomaggiore. It was roughly 4 hours of trekking, which was at a very manageable with frequent stops to show us the plants, fruit greets, herbs and he also took great photos of us with amazing views. We then had lunch with amazing food and views before taking a train to Monterosso and then ferry back down to Manarola.

Paul our guide took us on impressive secret view trails that only a local would know. Our photos speak for themselves! You can’t do this alone! Thank you, Paul, for all your knowledge and recommendations.

Woke up early to drive to La Spezia. Took train to Riomaggiore. The first of the Cinque Terre villages. Met up with 75 year old Pall with TrekGuyd. He provided one of the most magnificent tours! Most people hike only 4 of the 47 available trails. But he takes you through vineyards and on trails ... and you don't see anyone! He provided great history and an overview of the villages as well! It was incredible! We hiked for 4 hours in the morning up from Riomaggiore inland to Groppo and down to Manarola, where we ate lunch. We then trained it to Monterossa and hopped on a the ferry back to Riomaggiore. What an incredibly day!

Pall was amazing. He arranged the whole day for us planned around when our cruise ship arrived in port and when we had to get back. He met us at the port, got us in a taxi, on to a train to our first village (where he actually lives) where we felt we were getting the back stage tour of Cinque Terre. We were able to get ahead of the crowds and see things we never would have noticed or understood on our own. The morning was spent hiking behind the villages through the vineyards. Pall was very knowledgeable about the agriculture and history of the area and shared his wealth of knowledge as we hiked up, up and up. Amazing views and we got some amazing family pics. He arranged lunch for us at a beautiful restaurant with an incredible view at the end of our hike. The rest of the day was spent visiting the remaining villages which were very crowded and it made us really appreciate the morning and having Pall shepherd us through the crowds ensuring we didn't miss anything important. We ended the day taking a Ferry back to the port (a nice scenic ride). Well worth the money to have a local personal tour guide such as Pall.

Paul was a true ‘surprise packet’. Not born and bred Cinque Terre, but an extremely passionate long-term resident of the area. As an obvious avid hiker, combined with a true love of the local history and people, he brought to life our understanding of the locality, and was able to take us places, and inform us of the past and present without any potential bias that a local might have. Though we flinched at the thought of climbing the truly massive hill behind Riomaggiore, Paul made it so easy, stopping regularly and just often enough, to inform us of something at hand, or for a short rest. Having lived in the region for decades, and explored it extensively, Paul also gave us tips on other things to do, places to eat etc.

This was an amazing trekking tour! I can’t imagine our experience had we followed the masses and gone on the crowded trail that all the tourists do. Pall took us off the beaten path where we were often times the only ones on a trail. He has lived in the area for over 20 years and knows the locals and shares so much history and interesting information. I’m so glad we found this option. I will definitely recommend it to others!

What a privilege spending the day with Pall! Being a resident of Riomaggiore he has a locals knowledge which gives a completely new perspective of the area and during our day together he would stop to greet other locals or explain little nuances that a regular guide from outside the area would perhaps not know. More than that, Pall is an amazing human being whose passion for the region shines through. The hike is not strenuous at all and he takes it at a good pace, so very little fitness is needed to enjoy the day! We highly recommend this experience when visiting the Cinque Terre!!

It was great to have a private tour with a Knowledgeable guide who knew the terrain, plants, prettiest trails, best photo ops, and most panoramic places for a quick bite at the end. If you have only one day, it’s well worth it.

Pall was our guide and we had an amazing time. He talked us through the history of Cinque Terre as we walked terrace walls and looked aver amazing views. Then we headed into town and tried some great food :) Pall was great and really made this day memorable!

This was by far the best tour I have ever been on! Paul (originally American) was so knowledgeable. I was shocked to find it was just the two of us for 8 hours! We took an amazing hike and he took it at the perfect pace. He stopped us to show us everything that was growing from trees to herbs. He knew the locals and we even got to take and old treynino (sp?) “small train” down the hill. Cannot recommend this enough! Thank you Paul!!!!!
