We were greeted at the cute little yellow house and even though we were early, we left within 10 minutes of our arrival. Willy was our guide - he was English speaking. As this was a private tour, we told Willy we were really mostly interested in bird watching. Willy was very knowledgeable about the area as well as birds (we were very lucky!). Willy and the boat driver were an amazing team. I would highly recommend. On a side note, we got to see a very rare green pigmy kingfisher! I think that was the highlight of Willy's day too!

We had an incredible time on our boat trip with Gustavo Dos and Jorge. We were out for over three hours, and they really gave us as much time as we wanted to spend at each stop during the tour. Both were so knowledgable about all of the wildlife we encountered and we walked away from the trip having learnt so much more about the island than when we started. We saw over 20 different types of birds, including pink flamingos! We even saw a crocodile basking in the sun (from far enough away). We would 100% recommend VIP Holbox and any of their tours or guides to someone visiting the island. The team there is kind, knowledgable, and passionate about this special island. We're so glad we booked this trip.

We had a great day with our guide and were able to see flamingos, iguanas, dolphins, rays and all sorts of other wildlife. We loved swimming in the fresh waters of Yalahau and exploring Punta Mosquito. Memories for a lifetime.

This boat trip was great. Our tour guide Eddie showed us pink flamingos, swimming dolphins, and many other different types of birds and marine animals. We even swam in a fresh water spring. I would highly recommend this trip.

All three places were beautiful and different. Our guide and captain were very nice and helpful. They were also very flexible with how time was spent at each of the 3 places. We even made an additional stop to see some dolphins! Recommended!

VIP Holbox recommended getting an early start at 7:00 AM so we could avoid too many people at the stops along the way . Was great advice as we had all three stops almost to ourselves. We were lucky to see flamingoes, frigates and many other water birds with just our guide at the bird Island observation tower before moving on to the fresh water cenote where we were the only swimmers ! Water was so refreshing ! Final stop was at a small island with lots of iguanas and small fish and a beautiful sand bar to wade along ! Our guide was Willy who we also had on our private whale shark tour a few days before . Seas were calm and we were back early enough to enjoy the rest of the day relaxing on the beach . Great start to our day !

Erick and our captain on La Graza were super tour guides. Erik was really knowledgable and chatty, with excellent English and local knowledge. Booking was super easy with Sylvia in person, and follow-up with WhatsApp. Your was an excellent early morning taste of the nature scape around Holbox. We started a 7am to get out before the crowds. Full throttle across the glassy calm sea to Cenote Yalahau. First visitors of the day to the crystal clear waters well up from deep underground, so a private swim and our breakfast at the top of the watch tower. Then off to Isla Pasión with a flock of flamingos flying along side us. Beautiful clear waters; with needlefish and cormorants, frigates, pelicans and plovers. Finished up at Punta Mosquito with 2 Sea Ospreys. Thanks guys.

A great trip out, booked the private trip to have best time spent watching the birds and at the lagoon. Easy to book online and confirmation email to follow up the day before. Great knowledgeable guide, and got to all the islands before anyone else so had the whole place to ourselves. Passion Island we decided after a short walk it was not for us as the swarms of mosquitoes were unbearable but rest of the trip was a beautiful start to the day.

Friendly tour guide and boat operator. Was great to see the different isla’s surrounding Holbox. Recommend going early so that the cenote isn’t insanely packed. We left at 9 am.

We ended being the only two people on our trip with the same guide, Gustavo, who took us kayaking the day before. So what a treat to have a truly private tour! Saw dolphins as we headed out to Yalahau. Went on an 8 am tour and had Yalahau almost to ourselves Gustavo was lovely. Really enjoys nature and birding. We saw loads of birds and spent as long as we wanted watching - through binoculars that Gustavo brought. One highlight was watching an adult feed two big baby herons in the nest on Isla Pasion. I appreciated having the trip booked ahead of time and not having to decide between dozens tour operators all offering the same thing on island.

AMAZING communication - and experience! This was a gem of a day of a day for us - with prompt communication, and they allowed us to change the date of the tour - due to rain in forecast. The young men that ran our boat, shared their stories of the island - and gave us some great recommendations for restaurants to explore. Professional, courteous and we were thrilled with our choice of vendor - top notch!

We booked a private tour for our group of six. Our guide was Diego and our driver was Ale (sp?). This was absolutely the highlight of our five day trip to Holbox. Right from booking to being dropped off at the end, the tour could not have been more perfect. Diego, was so knowledgeable about the island and was able to provide us with a very personalized experience. He pointed out different birds and told us stories about the islands. He adjusted time frames to allow us more time at Isla Pajaro (which was our favorite part). To add to the experience, we took a sunrise tour which meant stumbling out of bed earlier than normal but was more than worth it. Sunrise was spectacular. At the Yalahou Spring we were even lucky enough to see a crocodile. Booking was also extremely professional and they even arranged to have us picked up near our Airbnb. They arranged to send us with an English speaking guide. I had researched tour companies before booking and we were so pleased we chose VIP tours. I cannot recommend this company enough.
