We booked the coba & xel ha combo day tour. Was an awesome and amazing day. Seen and did lots. Was a long day, from pick up to drop off was between 12-13 hours. Great to have everything included at both places with no extra money needed for rentals or food/drink, lockers, towels, etc. Our tour guide at pick up and during the ruins was fun, friendly and very informative. We had a good tour, could have stayed about an hour longer to get more time to see more of the ruins and the site, and look around on your own time, but understand the need to be quick as you need to have time at xel ha. You can no longer climb the main ruin site either. Xel ha is simply breath taking. The views are awesome, the activities endless, can easily spend all day here and make it a full day tour on it's own. The park is clean and the staff are very friendly and welcoming and helpful, food was amazing at the Mexican buffet, drinks were good. Time went by fast, highly recommend both places either separately or as a package deal, great for all ages, you can pick and chose your own activities at xel ha that interest your group, many many included activities and amenities and some activities that are an extra charge if interested. We didn't purchase any of the extra activities and we were extremely happy with our time there and found lots of activities to do. Great day, great tour, great staff and tourist attractions. Would definitely go back and do it again.

Had a great time here during our visit to Mexico in January. Went with my wife, and 12 and 14 year old children. For those interested in going, please be aware that it is over 2 hours from Cancun, but well worth the trip. The park is huge, and well maintained. Food and drinks are included in admission. We ate at what I guess you could call the traditional Mexican buffet for breakfast, and we all agreed it was one of the best buffets we've ever had. We had the "fast food" buffet for lunch, which was pretty basic and not that great. Service at both buffets was terrific. Hiking, cliff jumping, zip lining and snorkeling were all amazing. There are photo stations around the park where you can just scan your wristband to get your picture taken. The only downside was with the free drinks, there were some people who were overserved. I would recommend this experience.

You can't climb the ruins anymore, but coba is less crowded and xel-ha was so cool to walk around and float the river.

The whole experience was amazing. Eduardo was the best tour guide seeing the ruins. Very knowledgeable and great personality. Could not say enough great things about him. Xel-Ha hidden wonder was great fun. There is something there for people of all ages and swimming capabilities. Highly recommend as an excursion. From swimming with dolphins, to scuba, the lazy river, to cliff jumping... There is something for everyone. Everything inside the park was all inclusive... Food, drinks, alcohol.... Great times and definitely see myself coming back.

I enjoyed the Tulum portion of the tour and our guide Jaime was great, informative and helpful from pick up to conclusion of the tour. I was disappointed with Grupo Xcaret for allowing people to sign up for the Coba & Tulum tour (Coba had been closed for many weeks prior) expecting that they had an exclusive agreement to guide tours there, only to be informed the night before and at pick up that the Coba site was closed and the rest of the tour would be at Xel-ha park. While Xel-ha park was ok, over eat & drink with snorkeling- though being 57 y.o. I don't have much interest in tower slides and kids play. I don't have many opportunity to make the trek to this region and was trying to see as much of Maya ruins as possible. Double check everything and don't rely on the tour group to inform you of cultural sites availability.

We toured the Coba ruins and visited Tulum. The tour is pretty phys demanding (but great!) so be sure to bring the right shoes and clothes for the heat. Afterwards we went to the Xel-Há park. The tour took up most of the day and we didn’t get to spend much time at the park. If you can, split the tour and park visit between x2 days so you can enjoy every thing Xel-Há has to offer. A special shout out to Rogelio Mejica! In the blink of an eye my phone (in seewag watr proof jacket) fell to the bottom of the lagoon. Rogelio swam to where we were, asked a few questions and quickly scanned the water to then dive prob 14ft+ to save my phone. We can’t thank him enough as the trip would have def. been sour. Saved the day!

We did Cobá/Xel-Ha !!☺️☺️☺️ Coba is very different from Chichen itza 😱😱😱😱 Not the same on luxury if I can say like that. The toilet there is not like I’ve ever seen 😂😂😂. You can walk 2 km to the end and back or you can take a bike and if you have kids or just want to have an amazing experience 😂😂 we’ll get the taxi bike 😂😂😂 that was the best part of it for us. It’s included but you tip !!! 🤗🤗🤗 In the bus to coba that takes about 1h, they give you a sandwich and juice around 9am. We left the hotel at 7h40. Arrived at 8h10 to the main bus stop (xelha). Had 40 mins there. Left for coba at 8h50. Arrived at 9h50. Did 2 hours here with toilet and tour guide. Left for xelha at 11h50. Arrived at 12h50 at xelha. Went for lunch at the international buffet. Did the river snorkel for 2 hours OMGGGG we love it wowowowowo. Just amazing the life in there. We didn’t do all the corner of the lake. (We are going again at the tulip TOUR) did all the stuff included. Very nice park but definitely you can do that park in one day. They have lockers for free. We are had a blast !!!!! Adam (9 years old) wanted to do the bike in the air but it cost money 😵‍💫 We took the train bus for the river snorkel…. Very cool 🙂🙂🙂 Thé nature is really amazing. I’m having so much fun 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I’m like a kid 😂😂😂

Customer Service representatives are liars. I had booked tickets to Xel-Ha and XCaret for Spring Break 2020 for a total of about $600. As soon as Covid was declared a pandemic in March, I called to cancel. Their representatives asked me to hold on to my tickets for 2 years and gauge the situation so that I can use if I chose to travel any time in 2 years. They said if I changed my plans, I could call in any time and that I would get a refund. At this point, my kids are not old enough to be vaccinated and so we have decided not to travel, so I called them to cancel and they said they won't refund the money since its past the cancellation period. So essentially, they lied to me. Also, I sent multiple emails and did not get any responses, so I kept calling them. I lost $600. Very terrible !!

We researched all of these commonly owned parks and chose this one. We made the right choice for what we wanted and I think most would. What we liked: beautiful setting, great shaded walkways with unique sitting areas with ocean or forest views; the manatee area was awesome; the zip line was fun and something the whole family could do; the water slide on the light house was fun. We usually don’t do buffets, but this one was good with food cooked fresh constantly and you knew it was up to temp so food was safe. Open bar was nice for parents to have a couple glasses of wine. We did not do any add-on activities with no regret - saw the dolphins jump and that was just fine. The lazy river and snorkeling were also great, but with the wind direction on our visit, I called the lazy river a working river and that also impacted snorkeling. The weather was not their fault. Probably the best value of all of these parks, but it all depends on what you want to do. We’d do this again.

I was really looking forward to this tour but the company never showed up to pick us up. Not Viator's fault at all, but I'd recommend passing on this excursion if they continue to use Experiencias Xcaret as the local provider!

The trip to the Coba Ruins was fantastic. The guide shared great information with us. We enjoyed biking along the journey and the climb was great. There was a lot of waiting at Xel-Ha to catch the bus to Coba and then a lot of waiting from Xel-ha before going back to our hotel. I would say it added at least 90 minutes to our long day. I would not go back to Xel-ha. this used to be a beautiful natural area. Now there are few fish to view when snorkeling and the dolphin exhibit is nothing short of cruel.

We really enjoyed this tour. I read the reviews of the 2 all-day tours and read quite a few stating they would have preferred 1/2 the time at both. While I agree that 1/2 a day at Coba was sufficient, my husband and I in our 30's with no kids would have preferred a full day at Xel-Ha. There was so much to do at Xel-Ha that we would have loved to have had more time to explore there and time to meet the dolphins and do the zip bikes. We chose the 1/2 day since we more or less thought it was more of a children's park, which it's not. There's plenty to do regardless of age. Both were great!

Fantastic tour guide, great shopping opportunity with locals, loved cycling through the jungle at Coba and climbing the pyramid there was just incredible. Make sure you take snacks, because it was about 6hrs between breakfast and lunch at Xel-Ha.

Coba was a very interesting experience with a Mayan guide who was very passionate about her history. There are bikes to get you around the site as it is quite spread out. if you are not sure about being able to ride a bike then there are trikes ridden by someone else for you!
Xel ha was lovely and the snorkelling was quite good but after the Coba trip it did not leave enough time to do this attraction properly

We had a great time at the Ruins, my husband and I rode bikes to save time. Their wasn't enough time to enjoy Xel-Ha on this combo tour. However, I would recommend it if your schedule is tight because you get to see and do alot. You could spend all day at Xel-Ha alone!! Food was great and the all inclusive was awesome....
