Ana was a fantastic tour guide. Very fun and informational. Drive was long but had fun stops along the way and plenty of photo ops. Both wineries were great and lunch had a wonderful view.

Ana was an amazing guide for our private full day wine tour for our family of four. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the Douro Valley and its history. She was patient, kind, professional, and a fabulous driver on the small roads of the (steep) valley. Confession: I’m very nervous on the narrow winding streets of a mountainside but Ana was great, and I was largely at ease… which says a lot!!! We could not have asked for a better fit for our family (kids 21 and 19 years old). Ana arrived early for our 9am pickup time, but we were running little late. She kept us on schedule without us feeling rushed. There were plenty of opportunities to take amazing photos of the unbelievably gorgeous landscape and the managers of the vineyards we visited were excellent communicators and explained much about the specific grapes of the region and their rich history (some of which we already knew from Ana). Our lunch was delicious and included a traditional Portuguese rice and duck dish that was fantastic, even picky eaters will enjoy. Our riverboat cruise did not disappoint! Pascoal and team were lively, fun, inviting and knowledgeable about the history of the Douro Valley and provided a very nice Port wine with beautiful and tasty pairings. Overall, Ana was fantastic, and I would highly recommend her to my most discerning friends. Thank you, Ana, for a wonderful day and the memories that will last a lifetime.

We were picked up at 8:45 as planned at our airBnB in Porto. Ana was ready to go and so accommodating. Along the drive to Douro, Ana provided helpful insight and historical context about the region and the winemaking. We stopped in Amaranth first to tour a church and have a coffee. Then on to two vineyards with lunch at the second vineyard. Ana arrange for the clouds to break so we had nice sunny May weather. While we had plenty of tastings, Ana kept us safe, informed and secure. Highly recommend this personalized experience with Ana!

The tour was amazing: 2 wine tastings, lunch and boat ride on the Douro River. Our guide, Rui, was incredible! He was very knowledgeable, accomodating and had a great sense of humor. I would highly recommend this tour!!

THIS WAS AMAZING!!! First of all, make sure to book with Ana! She is super funny and super accommodating. We had a great time visiting the two vineyards and boat tour. Food was authentic and tasted great! SO MANY photos opportunities and would recommend bringing a nice camera. Depending on the time of year I would bring jackets because the breeze can make it pretty chilly (you are able to leave in the van when getting out if need be). I cannot say enough good things about this tour and especially Ana! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

Ana is AMAZING. If you’re wondering which company to choose, these people are the best! Ana is so kind and sweet. She knows a ton about the area and her English is great! I can’t recommend her enough! 10/10 experience. Ana for president!!!

Extraordinary tour, stunning views of the wine region, fun river boat ride, delectable lunch and wine pairing, and lots of history and information about the region and the wines. I have to give a lot of the credit to our phenomenal guide Teresa who was straight A’s across the board. Her personality, driving, care of making sure everyone in the group was well looked after and her profound knowledge of the region, the actual wine making and production process. Very helpful that she’s a true native local of the area and has her own real life roots and history to draw from. I already recommended her and this tour to a couple from San Diego I met in Lisbon yesterday. There are a lot of Douro tours and guides and I feel lucky I fortunatley picked the right one. This is the one to do and Teresa is the guid you need to request.

We really enjoyed the trip. From being picked up and dropped off at the door of our hotel. All the stops were great. Two wineries with very different but excellent experiences. The boat ride was very enjoyable. Made more interesting and fun by the sensational river boat guide. They were really fun.

We loved that the tour had a small number of guests and our tour guide Rui was awesome, knowledgable, and lots of fun so made for a great tour. Loved stopping in Amarante on the way to the Duoro Valley and the scenery was amazing! The lunch and wine tour at the family owned winery was amazing!

After going through so many reviews, we’re so happy that we booked this tour. It was a comfortable ride in the van and the day was thoughtfully planned. Ana, our guide, provided a wealth of information on the drive. She really went above and beyond to make sure we had enough time to stop for pictures and provided so much helpful insight throughout the day. At no point did we feel rush and the views were incredible. Such a great experience and if you can tour with Ana, it’s even better!
