Alexis did.a.very nice job hosting and guiding us, and Hernan did the same driving. Alexis has a great personality and made the trip from San Antonio to Santiago education and enjoyable. The tour of Underraga Vineyard was a real highlight, and Alexis also did a nice job of serving as an English interpreter during this primarily Spanish-speaking tour. The brief city tour of Santiago was helpful and.lunch at El Galeon was excellent, although it might have been helpful to swap the timing of these as everyone was pretty hungry by the time we got to Santiago and the city tour might have been more engaging after lunch. Alexis also provided some nice recommendations at the end of the tour, going so far as to remind us we have his phone number and not to hesitate contacting him by phone or WhatsApp if we needed anything during our stay. It was a really thoughtful touch and was entirely sincere. So, all-around this was a very positive experience and a really nice way to transition from our cruise to Santiago. Thanks, Alexis, and all the best to you!

There is nothing wrong with the trip but Viator sucks. It gives me a reward credit but would not reinstate and supposing to be a validity of 180 days but appears only have a 60 day expiration.

Tour was nothing like the description. We took this transport from San Antonio. Pick up said 8AM, we waited 2.5 hours for the last couple to arrive, who were no-shows. The guide described where we were going to go, which was nothing like the description given on Viator. We went to Valpariso, a different city along the ocean, stopped for lunch, went to a winery not listed in the tour, and then were dropped off at our hotel. When I showed the guide the description of our tour per Viator, he said MTO was to blame, not him. Two other couples on the bus also had different descriptions of the tour. It was like they consolidated all of the tours they had booked that day and put us all on the same bus. The only reason I give this 2 stars instead of 1 is due to the guide who was very informative about what we were seeing and spoke good English. Recommend if you sign up and pay for this tour to bring a water bottle as there is no water available for tour guests, and hopefully you don't care about where you are going.

Waited for 21/2 hours in the bus at the ship terminal for a no show. Once on our way another couple and us realized they had put two tours together and we were off to Valparaiso and Vin de Mar, a tour I had been told through Viator that was full. We were supposed to do a trip to tour Santiago and a winery then drop at the hotel around 4pm. After waiting at the port for so long we finally got to our hotel around 730pm totally exhausted. Because I couldn’t get a booking for Valparaiso initially I had booked a tour for the next day. Called the numbers during the day and when we got to the hotel and got no answers ever for MTO tours. Did get through to Stamps tour to cancel the Valparaiso tour for the next day but they said they did not have a booking for me that it was through MTO Tours. Who I was unable to contact. I got no confirmation by 10 pm for pickup time and no one showed up today ……. I had booked a private car to go to the Baha’i temple for 1000. The hotel concierge said NEVER use MTO they never show up and she was right. In fairness to the tour guide hired by MTO for our trip to Valparaiso, he was very informative and funny and managed to turn a bus load of upset people to some fairly happy but frustrated and tired people. He gets an A for effort, even he said he thinks the company makes too many mistakes. I am not sure how all the mix up happened tours booked and paid and no one knew, wrong tour given. Company had the right names for us all . Whose fault? Viator? This is who I booked through. I am out $198 for a tour I had paid for and no one knew anything about.

Prior to a late evening flight, this is a full day tour packed with scenery places to visit. Gonzelous-the tour guide is friendly and courteous. He provided lots of information and insight about the cities, local people, food as well as historical stories. This is a well spent day trip with great bonus of airport drop off even though we had a bad start of the day. We had to wait 2 hours on the bus ( with no toilet facilities & drinking water) for 2 other no-show passengers. We would like the tour operator to put in place a better process to address such situation and make it upfront on expectations & conditions.

This was the worst. Suddenly cancelled the morning of the tour without warning leaving us without recourse. Would not return calls or give alternative. Appears they kept our money as well. We are looking at legal options. Avoid this supposed tour company at all costs.

The driver was 2 hours late. As it was a public holiday the visits listed did not happen. We were not informed about this holiday although company must have known about it before the trip. Had we have known we could have booked an alternative form of transport. We only knew the winery trip was cancelled after asking guide if we would be lunching at the winery. Van was dirty. A crate of bottles obstructed the floor space under one of the back seats. The guide had radio on all the time and gave commentary without a microphone over the music until asked to turn the radio off. An expensive rip-off not to be recommended. I will be asking for a refund.

Well, we signed up for a tour but were told the day before that there wasn't going to be a tour. It was a great ride, however, from Valparaiso to Santiago.

I had scheduled with this company to take us from our hotel in Santiago to the Cruise Terminal in San Antonio approximately two months before our cruise date of March 15, 2020. On March 14, 2020 I received an email advising that they could no longer provide this service. Last minute cancellation on their part. NOT GOOD!

Unfortunately, due to sea conditions, our ship was diverted from San Antonio to Valparaiso so we arrived and began our tour about 4 hours later than it was originally planned to start and from a location 50 miles from San Antonio. Consequently, it necessarily shortened the tour thus virtually eliminating the Santiago Tour portion. Shortly after beginning the tour, we stopped for lunch at a nice local restruarant in Valparaiso (cost not included); however, the service was slow, so at least 30 min was "wasted" at the lunch stop. Don't know what the original tour lunch involved and how long was allotted for it, but being behind schedule 4 hrs already, it didn't make sense to have such a long lunch that took time from "touring". Our guide was nice and spoke good English. Without the having the Santiago portion of the tour, we really couldn't evaluate his knowledge of Santiago and its important sites. The drive from the port to the winery took around 45-50 min and then another 45-50 min to Santiago, so much of our shortened "tour time" was consumed just travelling. The winery visit portion was interesting and well done by the winery personnel. Since we were so far behind schedule, we hit Santiago rush hour, so there was no time for any Santiago tour other than identifying key buildings as we were driven to our hotel. We were disappointed we didn't receive the planned Santiago tour portion.

Sebastian was out at the terminal on time and picked up our group. He drove us to Santiago which is about an hour and a half away. That alone makes this trip reasonably price. He helped us with our bags and had plenty of room in the van. We first went to a winery in Talagante which was a great tour. When we got to the city, he took us to the main square ensuring that we were always together and our needs were met. We stopped for lunch before continuing to two other scenic parks. Well worth the price. Sebastian is a good guide.

Both my wife and I liked Pablo. We could tell he was just starting to guide (so not very experienced) but he was very knowledgeable about Santiago and Chili. He is also a nice young man

Sebastian did a fantastic job showing us his home. Lots of good details and information. We were picked up at the port off a cruise. Taken through a winery and toured the city. Lunch was at a wonderful restaurant (cost not incl). Dropped off at the airport. A wonderful day to see Santiago in a day.

We were met at the port by Patricio our driver and guide. He was clearly visible and easily found. This was a small group tour abstained it was just ourselves and another couple. Patricio drove safely to a vineyard where we had an excellent tour with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic local guide for an hour or so. After this we visited the main sights in Santiago city with explanations from Patricio and plenty of time to enjoy. Finally we were dropped at our hotel. All in all a great tour and far better than anything offered by the cruise line. Great value!

This was an inexpensive way to get from our cruise ship to our hotel, see some points of interest along the way and get an introduction to the city. We were told to meet the tour guide at 8 a.m.,and to call at 8:15 if we hadn't seen someone with our name. We called 10 times at 8:15 and finally someone answered, only to tell us our guide was coming. Then hung up promptly without answering what our guide might look like. We found him about 45 minutes later. The sign he had was a paper sheet, bending in the wind with our names hardly visible. We had to walk a couple of blocks with our suitcases to meet the van. The tour itself was good. The van was very cold. I don't know why people put on air-conditioning when it is barely 60 degrees. Our tour guide, Francisco was kind and interested in our welfare and enjoyment. When we were left off at our hotel at the end of the tour, my suitcase was covered in slivers of wood from where the luggage had been stored.

Sebastian met us at the cruise port entrance- there were 5 couples in total along with all our luggage. First we drove to Undurraga winery for a wonderful tour and tastings- delicious! Then we continued on into Santiago for a tour of the city with photo stops, lunch at a nice restaurant and a stop at a jewelry workshop and store where they made lapis lazuli jewelry. Finally off to the airport for the final stop of the day. Sebastian and his driver Alexi were very nice and accommodating.

Our excursion was supposed to be a transfer from San Antonio port to Santiago, with a Santiago City tour. We opted out of the Vineyard. On the day, we were informed that it was not optional! Not the end of the world, but not the best expectation management. After that, we were informed that we were going to go to a restaurant for a $30 a head buffet. Our Chinese Parliament rejected this, & the guide informed us that we would go instead to an a la carte restaurant in Santiago. My wife & I preferred to use the time to visit the bustling market next door, as a large meal did not appeal. I'm convinced this was the better choice, as it enabled my disabled wife to access the public toilets by elevator, as all of the restaurants around involved insurmountable sets of stairs. Result! We then commenced our Santiago tour. Either it has little to offer, or our 30 minute tour short changed us. We did find time to visit a jewellery shop that no-one was interested in. The whole tour reeked of tour guide backhanders to me, as we had no interest in the 'stops', but they were immovable features. The stops combined took up almost 3 hours of the tour, meaning almost half of it was wasted on us. 1 star for picking us up & 1 for dropping us off. The remainder was disappointingly unsatisfactory.
