Maria was a knowledgeable tour guide, and got us through the crowded museum efficiently. We really learned a lot about the art, and artists that we were interested in. Great tour!

An excellent trip, small group of 7 which was just about right. We were guided by Fernando who was very knowledgeable, friendly and brought each painting to life which he selected we take a look at. I’ve not had a guide in a gallery before but I will again as it made the experience very interesting and so much better with a deeper understanding of each painting. Fernando was great, he answered the groups questions really well. He stepped in at the last moment as our original guide was unexpectedly ill on the morning of our trip. Don’t hesitate in booking this. Well worth the extra to have a guide and skip the line.

If you are looking for an incredible private tour of the Prado, Fernando is your guy. His obvious love of the arts that shows up in a childlike excitement that most of us loose was inspiring and refreshing amongst many guides who simply say what is required or expected. Also, he’s got jokes!

This was a very good tour the highlights all the important sites in the Prado. Our guide, Macarena was wonderful and spoke very good English. 6 people in our group allowed us to enter quickly and pass by all the bigger groups. Touring the Prado in a large group would not have been a good experience. We would recommend this tour to others and try your best to get in a small group. The other positive was after our guide ended the tour, our ticket allowed us to stay as long as we wanted to experience other parts of the museum not covered by the guide. Nice day at the Prado.

Our guide (Ayala, Alaya?) was excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable and enhanced our appreciation of each work we visited. With the crowds, you really have to gradually worm your way to the front. This was on Wednesday April 24 in the morning. We didn’t have much wiggle room in our schedule while in Madrid, but if you can, try to find a less crowded time to visit (if there is such a thing). Your tour ticket allows you to stay in the museum after the tour. Because it was so crowded, we did not stay afterwards. Lunch in the cafeteria was actually quite nice.

For the money, the trip was too brief…….the entrance line was slow……our tour guide said she’d add time, but didn’t…….then she also claimed that “GOYA’S MAJA” didn’t allow tour access………I proceeded to view it on my own, only to find another English tour in front of the painting…….my tour was not worth the money

We were a small group of six with our guide Alex. A skip the line tour makes the visit so much more pleasurable. Alex was very knowledgeable and passionate talking about the famous art selections. It is better to concentrate on the highlights with more information than wander through it all. I highly recommend!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job. The skip the line worked well. The line was around the building at 10:30 am.

Stefania was an incredible guide! She was fun and informative and with only one other couple on the tour, she was able to answer all our questions. Having had issues with another tour booked through another site, I really appreciated that she sent an email the day before with specific instructions on where to meet and even gave me her telephone number in case I should need it. Highly recommend.

This was the best tour we experienced in Madrid. Maria was very knowledgeable about the museum and the artwork. She led us to all the important paintings and gave great details about each one. We can highly recommend this tour.

Extremely knowledgeable and gives great insight on many of the paintings and artists. Would suggest Maria to any travelers. Our ONLY disappointment was the Mona Lisa de Prado was on loan to Singapore. Too bad but definitely not Maria’s fault. Skipping the is a suggested idea. The lines were long to main attraction rooms were crowded. Thank you from Texas for the awesome experience. ~bb

I’ve been on guided art museum trips all over Europe and the US. Stefi was by far the best guide I’ve ever had. Her knowledge and background stories of the artists lives was amazing and her ability to help me appreciate specific things in certain pieces would have been missed by me without her.

Paula was our guide, and we were so thankful that we opted into a small group tour. The Prado felt like a lot to navigate, in terms of the physical ground one has to cover—and the artworks that one wants to seek out. Paula did an excellent job of choreographing the tour, and was so thoughtful about when and how we would pause with a piece, or take space from overbearing groups. Paula’s mini lectures were thoughtful and engaging, and the connections she drew were impressive. She moved us through the quattrocento, she did an amazing job of comparing and contrasting what was happening within the Italian renaissance against what was happening in Spain, and she gave thorough explanations of major shifts in technique, color and materials used. I especially appreciated the breakdown of “The Garden of Earthly Delights”—and how when she was asked about one super small detail of the piece, she immediately could break it down and suggest something supplemental to track down for an even deeper appreciation. She was personable and kind, and really made an effort to guide us through the Prado as comfortably as possible. She also took several extra minutes, at the tour’s conclusion, to direct us all to a Caravaggio upon request. Paula really went above and beyond, and we would recommend the company (and Paula in particular!) to anyone interested in touring the Prado. Such a lovely experience—many thanks!

Macarena, an excellent guide, showcased the highlights of El Prado flawlessly. The tour of El Prado! Highlighted works by Velazquez, Goya, Bosch, and other classical European masters.

Paula was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic - we learnt a lot from her extensive art history background. I wish we had gotten to see more than a handful of paintings but if you like an in depth discussion, this is the tour for you!
