I enjoyed most of the food we had, but the tour was just too long. It took about 4 1/2 hours. Miguel was friendly and informative but honestly every other food tour we’ve taken has been about 2 hours which I think should be sufficient to sample 4 restaurants. Maybe just have all the restaurants in one area instead of several different neighborhoods would be better.

The variety of food and drink was excellent. Just what we were looking for. Gold star mentions for Julia’s stories and knowledge of Portuguese food, wine, culture and history were added bonuses. The Mozambique and octopus salad stops were my favorites. And the others on the tour made this fun.

Walking the winding streets of Lisbon with our amazing guide,Julia, was a great way to experience Lisbon. The food was great and I learned a lot about the history of the wines and foods of Portugal. I also appreciated that the establishments we visited were family owned.

We loved our food tour led by Marina! The tastings were fantastic and we also learned so much from her - she was very knowledgeable & provided so much history and information about Portugal food and culture. Our group's favorite stop was the last one at A Muralha - Tapas & Wines - the food and wine was awesome! We really enjoyed all the stops though! We would definitely recommend this tour to others!

Great Tour. Fun , interesting, and delicious. We walked through a few neighborhoods, (easy walk) and stopped for drink and food at 4 different places. As a vegetarian, I was thinking I would need to have a "real" dinner when I was finished with the tour, however, delicious options were provided, and there were plenty of wine, appetizers, main dishes and desserts. I'd highly recommend Livia as a guide. She is upbeat and very informative. We learned some history, and cultural facts that helped to frame where and what we were tasting.

We thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful tour with Miguel. Lots of interesting historical details combined with excellent tastes and sips from places we would never have discovered ourselves. We also appreciated the excellent follow-up email which summarized our tour and provided lots of helpful suggestions for the rest of our time in Lisbon. Recommend you do this at the beginning of your Lisbon stay to make the most of Miguel’s many helpful suggestions.

Rodrigo quickly converted four couples on his food tour of Lisbon into eight friends. It was obvious that he was a born teacher and someone who loved to explain the nuances of the authentic Lisbon restaurant experience and how this related to the history of the city. Not only was the tour a gastronomic delight and cultural tour de force but it even explained how cod itself had impacted the history of the world. Who knew that it was the major protein being consumed during World War II. Who knew that the Portuguese exclusively ate salted cod and did not care for the fresh variety. The walking was easy and the food at the various stops portioned appropriately like that of a well-designed tasting menu. A thoroughly enjoyable introduction to Lisbon and the Portuguese way of life.

All the tastings were wonderful with a rich explanation of the history of each bite and sip. Tour was well paced and our guide Miguel was a wealth of knowledge. We had a great time and left with full stomach and an appreciation of the variety of foods that exist in Lisbon.

We enjoyed the variety of very local type establishments we visited, and Miguel was an excellent guide. We certainly visited restaurants I am quite certain we would not have found on our own. The wines and the foods were all tasty. There are always things we like more than others but glad we tried them all.

My sister and I have just got back from a brilliant food tour hosted by Rodrigo. We had the most amazing time. Rodrigo is fun, he made it easy for the group to gel and is so knowledgeable that we learned so much about the cultural make-up , food and history of Lisbon. It was fascinating and really enjoyable. Every stop off offered a different taste and history of Lisbon. It was really special and we are so glad we did it. All the food and drink was delicious ! Well organized, great communication leading up to the start of the tour. On tour, all venues were local places & food was outstanding. Extremely informative about both Lisbon & food. There was a bit of walking, but pace was good & few short cuts up the hill made it easier.

The best food your , Julia was great she was knowledgeable enthusiastic she was so fun . She had picked an awesome array of tasting both food and wines . We had a great time .

Lucia was the best tour guide I’ve ever had - wish I could have her travel everywhere with me! She was so knowledgeable, passionate and kind. She went above & beyond to make sure everyone had a great experience. The food was delicious & plentiful. She took great care of my vegetarian mother in law. Phenomenal it Was beyond my expectations great tastings and history all wrap up in one. Just don’t go really hungry your sittings are not having full meals…they are tasting. Now- when you finish you would have curbed your appetite for dinner ;))
