We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Leo was such a good guide. She knew so much about the city of Porto and clearly loves it. She linked the history of Portugal to the food that we ate really well and it was so interesting. A good variety of eating places were visited and they were not the typical tourist places. Would definitely recommend her to friends who are visiting Porto later in the year.

We went to several restaurants and had the opportunity to try different kinds of food/beverages. Go hungry.

The Progressive Dinner Trip with our guide Diogo was one of the highlights of our trip to Porto. We visited four venues for 5 courses with wine or beer. The foods and wine were excellent but the local information was even better, we feel we gained an insight into life in Porto. It’s really worth doing and a great introduction to the city

Great historically relevant food tour with Diogo. I highly recommend booking with Eating Europe. All of the locations visited were filled with locals and some had a line that we were able to skip. Amazing!

A wonderful way to spend our first evening in Porto. Gonçalo was a warm and accommodating guide, we learned some interesting history along the way, and there was plenty of tasty local food and drink to sample.

We could not have been more pleased with this tour. Goncalo was a superb guide, taking us to places we would never have known about. They were places the locals enjoyed and we found them to be an excellent introduction to Portugal specialities. We made several stops and each one exceeded the previous one. The selection of beers and wine were also great. Not only did we have wonderful dishes, but we also learned about Portuguese history and culture. It’s a great way to expand your knowledge and appreciation of Portugal. You can’t find a better tour that will give you such a wonderful time.

So I have been on many Eating Europe tours (Madrid, Rome, Porto, and Lisbon). The Porto one was not good. Diego was a nice guide but the food was scarce, and felt fast food like. Absolutely not worth the money. We didn’t go anywhere where it really felt like it was a restaurant, and the food portions were meager. The Lisbon tour was fantastic, and I reviewed it as such, and so was the Rome one. I would still use Eating Europe because it’s still a reliable outfit , but Porto needs to be improved.

Diogo was a great tour guide! Very amiable, knowledgeable, and fun. Tour was nicely paced and good amount of food and drink. Nice small size group.

Nice host, unremarkable food and restaurants. We did not appreciate being served dessert out of a to-go bag on a dark street corner. Certainly not worth $100. I’ll never do these tours again.

Wonderful tour. We had a lot of laughs with great food and wine. We enjoyed every minute of it, and our guide made this tour very special. Diogo Pinto, our guide, was knowledgeable and most informative. I highly recommend it if you wish to enjoy an evening out in Porto.
