The best 2 hours of our 3 days in Porto was on board the Douro Captain. We did have the benefit of perfect weather, but still, the experience was amazing. The Captain and crew are highly experienced and provided just enough dialogue along the trip, but seemed to know exactly when to let us just enjoy the sail. The boat has a maximum of 8 passengers with plenty of room to stretch out on the bow, or comfortably sit in the cockpit (to get the Captain's brief, but interesting history and architectural overview). Even the music on board was great. We highly recommend plan to join this crew again on our next trip to Porto.

Weather did not cooperate but our captain and staff over the top! Fantastic experience and they recommended a fabulous dinner place in walking distance from Marina Casa do pescador which was amazing!!!

Beautiful 2 hour boat trip along the Douro River. The captain and staff were lovely and very informative along the boat ride. A drink, port and snack provided. On the way back it was breezy and they provided blankets. Would highly recommend this boat trip!

We were so blessed with the weather, it being the end of January, for the most wonderful trip down The Duoro River. Our Captain Ricardo and skipper Karina were so welcoming and attentive throughout the trip with refreshing glasses of Porto Tonic, snacks and a glass of Tawny port as we came back in to the marina. It was interesting to learn more of the history of Porto and Gaia and get to know Ricardo and Karina. It was like spending time with friends and we will certainly be back to visit in the future.

What a wonderful experience. Karina and Claudio were fabulous - they pampered us with drinks, blankets, chat and facts about Porto. We were very lucky as we had the boat to ourselves so it was very special. The weather was unbelievably good for November which added to the experience.

The sail boat was lovely, the captain/guide was very knowledgeable and had tons of great local recommendations. We were able to sail out to the open ocean at the end of the trip, and it was so peaceful and beautiful! Blankets, a snack, and a local welcome drink, as well as a taste of port wine were included.

Boat was comfortable and route was interesting. Captain and crew were genuinely warm and friendly. They were also knowledgeable and tailored the level of discussion to what the passengers were interested in. Plenty of good old fashioned friendly conversation as well. Had two of the best port and tonics I’ve had in Portugal and a nice glass of port wine. Our group of four would all highly recommend and we have some fussy folks!

After arriving late the night before, my husband and I had arranged a river sail boat cruise out of Gaia to recover from the jet lag whilst still learning about Porto and Gaia. It was amazing! We were fortunate that the weather cooperated so it was a beautiful, sunny day with brilliant blue skies. We couldn’t have received better treatment. Porto and Gaia landmarks and history were discussed while sampling a port & tonic beverage and finishing with a glass of sweet port wine. All our questions were answered and we greatly appreciated the restaurant recommendations we received. Our river hosts were friendly and humorous. They took our photos to immortalize our beautiful day on the Douro river. This was definitely time we’ll spent and we thank you for starting our vacation out in such a beautiful and relaxing way.

This was a delightful sailboat cruise. We ended up having the sailboat to ourselves. They served us delicious Port wine and snacks, and they were very accommodating to our schedule needs.

This was an excellent boat cruise! The captain gave us some history of Porto without being too overwhelming. We very much enjoyed this and highly recommend it!

Great ride, the crew was outstanding and very helpful! I would recommend this trip over other river trips.

A calm and quiet way to see the hustle and bustle of waterside Porto and Gaia - yachts cannot pass under the bridges but the guides take you out of the harbour to look back at the city from the ocean. The white port and tonic cocktail on board was also fantastic! A great family owned business with passion and consideration - a nice company to support and not at all “touristy”.

Claudio and Camilo are an amazing crew. They explained to us everything about the city and gave us nice Porto wine to taste. Thank you for the lovely experience!

Our trip was lovely! Our hosts were so kind, knowledgeable and fun! This was one of our favorite activities of our vacation! Would definitely recommend and we will do this again if ever back in Porto!!

After visiting three cities in Portugal, this was the highlight of our entire trip. A year later, the photos from this boat trip are the photos and memories we revisit time and time again. The boat trip was comfortable (pillows and blankets and wine!) and interesting, but also romantic (enough convo to let us know what we were seeing, but left us alone - though always available for wine refills and sightseeing info! - to enjoy the sunset and some private time). The location of the dock is easy to access from the city even being total newbies, and we had a fantastic dinner at a local restaurant just a few steps from the dock afterward. Really an epic experience. Don’t leave Porto without seeing the city from this boat.

Ricardo and his crew were so great. We loved every second of the tour! When we arrived at the pier Ricardo welcomed us and brought us to the boat. They had very comfortable seating at the front of the boat with pristine views of Porto and Gaia. Claudio (one of the crew) was great to chat with, and provided tons of unique info about the cities as we sailed. He also made a great Porto tonic 🤌🏻 we went on a windy day but that didn’t take away from the experience at all, they offered blankets to keep us warm throughout the ride! Loved our experience, 10/10 recommend to anyone visiting Porto
