I liked that we tasted a variety of ports. We tasted in locations that were off the beaten path and with only 12 participants it was easy to hear our guide. Learned a lot about ports from David. Did not want to leave Porto without going to Gaia for this type of experience.

This was a great tour. David our guide from C&D Tours was fantastic. Extremely animated and has a great knowledge of port and the related industry. The location of all the venues were very close together (less than 2 mins apart) with each offering something different. It poured with rain for part of our tour so was even better we didn’t have to walk too far. Recommend lining the stomach ahead of the tour as the tastings are generous in size (which is great). Lot of variety in the tastings.

It was great. the guide, Nuno, was well informed and had a good sense of humour but was professional. All cellars were in close proximity to each other so easy to get them all. It was beautiful out side and initially the cellars felt pleasingly cooler but after sitting for a while they all felt freezing as the temperature was so different to outside.

Excellent tour! We’ve done a couple of tours in the past for different things as most people have but this was by far the best tour we’ve ever been on. Davies was an excellent guide, super knowledgeable, provided context and had designed a clever route with minimal walking in between cellars.

We took part in the port wine tasting as a groups of 3 friends in April 2024 and David was our guide. He was brilliant, explained everything in great detail as we went through the different port wines and locations. Really fun thing to do as part of a trip to porto

My partner and I had the best time during this tour. You can really tell that the tour guide puts their heart into the tour and speaks about everything with passion and a wide breadth of knowledge. Don’t miss this one!

Jose was very knowledgeable, with a sense of humor. Been drinking Port wine for 30 years and finally learned how it is made! Well organized tour, efficient, and the various ports we tasted (ruby, tawny, white and rose) were very tasty!! Get some!!

Overall tour was great. Guide was very informative. And the 3 places we visited were lovely. Unfortunately when asking the guide to take a second photo of me with my partner the guide declined and was quite rude which ruined the experience for me. I couldn't wait for it to be over...

Nuno was the best, thoroughly educating us on the history and process of bottling port. Tasting the wine, of course was fun too, while learning the differences between white, tawny, and ruby varieties.

We had a really good time taking this tour. It was really insightful and gave us the opportunity to try several different types of port wines. This included visiting big and well-known producers, to small family-owned ones - from which we bought a bottle. David was very knowledgeable and made it all pleasant.

I first joined this tour with my husband in summer 2023 and the experience was so wonderful that I brought my family along when we came to Porto in December. Everyone had a fantastic time. Each time our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly, and the 7 glasses of port we tried made everyone all the merrier! I was pleasantly surprised to find that we were visiting different houses on my second outing to the first time. Either way I would have been happy to relive the experience. A must-do when visiting Porto.
