Driver Bruno was wonderful and such fun! Guide Paulo was extremely knowledgeable, fun and the pace was in line with our capabilities . Would definitely give them A plus plus and highly recommend!

Our Joe Banana tour was fantastic. Milena arranged an amazing day for us visiting Pompei and Mt Vesuvius. Our driver, Stefano, was friendly, drove carefully and the vehicle was in great condition. Could not have asked for a better person to spend our day with. Our tour guide in Pompei was incredibly knowledgeable and interacted really well with our kids. The wine tasting / lunch spot that Milena arranged for us was great. We had a beautiful lunch on the mountain side and spent time chatting with the family who owned the vineyard. Lastly, I would highlight that the team was super accommodating. We somehow missed our train in the morning and arrived 2 hours late but the team scrambled to rearrange our day and it still turned out amazing!

We had an amazing day visiting Mt. Vesuvius, the winery, and Pompeii! Our driver Bruno was knowledgeable, professional, easy to talk to, and compassionate. He was very patient with us while our son was fussy, and even sang to him to help calm him down! The sights were incredible, lunch was delicious, and we loved learning about Pompeii from our guide Pierpaolo, who was so hilarious and shared so much incredible knowledge. We made some great memories from this day and would highly recommend it!

Our driver Masimo was very kind, friendly, and offered information about the surrounding areas as he was driving us to each of our destinations. Paolo was our tour guide for Pompeii and he was professional, fun, and very knowledgeable. We were so happy with our experience and would highly recommend—especially Masimo and Paolo!

We actually did not get to do this tour, as it was the first day of the pandemic shutdown. However, the driver did a great job making the best of the situation with a drive to Sorrento and around Naples. The company also refunded us a fair amount since the trip had to be cancelled. Wish we could have done the full tour, but everything worked out pretty well in the end

We tentatively booked this this tour because there wasn't a lot of feedback that we could find. It turns out this was absolutely one of our favorite days in Sorrento! Our driver Massimo was excellent! He was funny, and courteous, and very knowledgeable! He shared several details of the area, the lemons and about the culture in general. He provided us with recommendations as to what order we should do our activities, which I believe made the day way more amazing! We truly appreciated his insight! Our first stop was at Pompeii for a private tour with Paulo - I can't say enough great things about this tour and guide! Paulo kept us engaged and suggested places for the best pictures! He was great! Next was mount Vesuvius - Massimo was able to take us right to the beginning of the hike which was really great! The visit to the vineyard was definitely a highlight as well! Delicious lunch and wine! Finally, on our way back, upon hearing we had not tried gelato yet, Massimo made a special stop for us to get some. Massimo was such a pleasure to spend the day with and definitely made our day absolutely amazing! We all would highly recommend this tour! It definitely was worth the money! Thank-you! :)

My wife and I used Joe Banana to get to various places around Italy, including Rome, Naples, and Positano. They were always right on time and excellent drivers, who were more than willing to humor our shaky Italian language skills and spoke mostly English. It was very hot and they always made sure we were comfortable in the air-conditioned cars, and drinking water. They also did a great job being flexible and coordinating with us by phone when, for instance, our train times changed. The real highlight of the trip was the Vesuvius, Pompeii, and winery tour. Our driver for the day, Luca Cozzolino, recommended we visit Vesuvius early, to beat the heat and the tourist rush, and boy was he right. After that we had an incredible tour of Pompeii with a private certified guide (which Joe B had also arranged), and a delicious lunch at a winery in the foothills of the volcano. To finish up, Luca dropped us off at our next destination, Positano. That day was the highlight of our whole trip, and we had Joe B and Luca to thank for that. We'd highly recommend them to anyone looking to take a lot of hassle out of their travel around Italy.

We travelled with another couple and signed up for this tour without knowing if it would be money well spent, since some of these types of tours can have a lot of hidden costs or sub-par service. This tour blew away our expectations and we all felt this was by far the best way to see Vesuvius, explore Pompeii and learn a bit about some of the local wine culture and region. (I should also add, all the costs are upfront and customer service quickly responds to any questions you may have.) Our driver, Massimo, was right on time to our hotel and was happy to wait for us as we were running a bit late. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the region and was highly personable - we loved him. He adjusted our tour to take us up to Vesuvius first (to beat the crowds and the heat) and then we went to Pompeii. On your own, Pompeii is incredibly confusing to walk around and you would absolutely miss 99% of the history there. A tour guide is a must, and we were lucky to have Paulo as our guide. He was very funny, pointed out tons of details we would have missed, and was savvy enough to take us on a route that avoided most of the crowds. We tackled the city at a good pace, which meant we could see more of the city, and he showed us a few extra things that we specifically asked about. But don't worry, Paolo will certainly adapt to the needs and pace of your group. Our last stop was at Bosco de Medici winery, which was a great place to end our day. After a brief tour of the winery and the process in which they produce wine, we had a nice lunch and tasting. Shipping wine home was very easy and we're looking forward to that package arriving. We had a long day and Massimo was more than happy to wait for us as we finished our wine. Our day went long but he was very gracious with us and we had a great discussion about Italian and American cultures on our drive back to Sorrento. Massimo and Paolo were incredible guides/hosts and we will absolutely ask for them by name if and when we come back to the Bay of Naples.

We scheduled this full day tour not knowing it would be the perfect way to see it all! Our driver, Max, met us at our hotel in Sorrento promptly, in a beautifully clean Mercedes SUV. Max was with us all day, taking is to Pompeii, then our hike atop Mt. Vesuvius and then the grand finale at the vineyard. We can’t say enough about Max. While I took cat-naps from place to place, my husband and Max shared easy conversation (as if they have been life-long friends.) We were matched with a really great tour guide at Pompeii whose name was Paolo, and we really enjoyed his tour. It was a crowded Good Friday day, so Paolo skirted us around the vast ruins, helping us see the highlights while not standing in the throws of people. I highly recommend a private tour like this, just for that reason. Our hike was a definite hike, but well worth the incline. I had read other reviews, so decided to bring our hiking poles which was a good decision on my part. Not so much going up, but coming down so you don’t slide on the volcanic gravel bits. Don’t be worried about the hike because you can go as far as you wish. Max is waiting for you at the bottom, what ever time you return. The winery was delightful. Yummy wines and local food. They even modified the food for my husband’s food allergies. (Thank you!) Then back to our hotel in Sorrento. So pleasant, easy, relaxed. Love it! Highly recommend this company, especially Max!~

The entire day was wonderful. We were picked up in a air conditioned car and dropped off to a tour guide at Pompeii who not only stood in line to buy our tickets but walked us around explaining what we were seeing and all about the history. He took several pictures of all of us to commemorate our trip. Then he turned us back over to our driver, Aldo, who then took us to Mt. Vesuvius. Be prepared - the hike up the mountain is steep and not for the faint of heart, but well worth the view when you get up there. When we came back down, Aldo was waiting to drive us to the Family winery where we were treated to lunch and tasted 6 different family wines. The entire package was quite enjoyable.

While traveling to Positano, Italy for our Honeymoon, we booked Joe Banana Limos for an airport transfer from Naples. Our driver, Antonio, picked us up in a Mercedes with a chilled bottle of prosecco and snacks (which was just what we needed after traveling for 14 hours). Antonio was very polite and very personable. He answered all our questions and spoke perfect English. Also, he was honestly one of the best drivers I’ve ever seen. We liked Antonio so much that we emailed Joe Banana Limos again and requested that we could book Antonio for a private tour of Mount Vesuvius, a winery, and Pompeii a few days later into our trip. That day turned out to be one of the best days of our trip. The hike up Mt. Vesuvius was easy, but the views were spectacular. The winery had some of the best foods & wines we had ever tasted, and the tour of Pompeii was very educational (but also very fun). We told Antonio we wanted a private tour of Pompeii which he arranged for us with an expert tour guide who spoke perfect English as well. The guide literally knew everything there was to know about the city and could answer every question we had for him. We had heard about Joe Banana Limos from a good friend that had visited Positano two years earlier. He recommended their services, and I will always use them when I am visiting Italy (which will hopefully be sooner than later). I would highly recommend that you book this company and request Antonio to be your driver. He genially wanted us to have a good time and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. He was a safe and cautious driver, but also got us places efficiently and on time. He knows the country like the back of his hand. He is always dressed professional and always picks you up in a very clean car. Antonio is ALWAYS on time and always smiling. I hardly ever write review—but I felt he deserves all the credit he can get. Booking Antonio through Joe Banana Limos was 100% worth the money and I can’t imagine a better transportation company anywhere in the world. Needless to say, we booked Antonio for our airport transfer home (from Positano to Naples). Our early morning flight meant we wanted leave for the airport at 3:30am. Antonio was, of course, on time and as friendly as ever.

Joe Banana Limos is a great service. We used them 3 times for getting around while visiting Positano, once for the Pompeii/Vesuvio/Winery tour. All three drivers, Lorenzo, Nunzio and Luca were very professional, prompt and friendly. For the day tour, Luca called ahead and reserved a guide for us at Pompeii and a table at the Winery. Paolo the guide for Pompeii was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. If you do the Pompeii tour, ask for Paolo. It was a wonderful day. We will definitely be using their service next time we visit anywhere they have service.

We started in Sorrento and made our way to Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius. Our tour guides, Paolo and Luigi were welcoming, knowledgeable, and funny. They accommodated all of our needs, allowed us to customize the tour on the spot, gave us plenty of time to wander around Pompeii, and made sure we had a great lunch all before hiking the mighty Mt Vesuvius. They were so great we booked with them twice after! Love this company.

We did two tours and a transfer with Joe Bananas Limos. Shared Shore excursion tours. Their website is very easy to navigate and we were able to fill both of our tours with no problems. We did the Godfather Tour and Taramina. Our guide was Roberto he picked us up at the port was very friendly, professional, as we found out later very well informed. He made our tour a 5 star in every way, great restaurant recommendation, never rushed us and still got us back to our ship in time. What an joy it was to tour with him!! Our next tour was in Naples with Lucas- very prompt to pick us up in a black Mercedes mini van, very pleasant and very knowledgeable. Lunch was amazing at La Tagliata with view that were astounding, the tour at the lemoncielo factory was great, never rushed and took great pictures for each of us. Our guided tour in Pompeii was with Calo or Carlo, what an absolute delight this guy was, he made Pompeii come alive with history, his story telling had anyone within ear shot mesmerized!! He is for sure a true Gem in tour guides and it is very apparent that this guy loves his job!!!! All in all this company is a top notch 5 star tour company !! Thanks again to Roberto and Lucas our driver and guide that spent so much time with. You will always be remember fondly!!!!
