Pros: the wonderful tour guide we had, I think her name was Alexander. She was passionate about Pompeii and giving us as much information as we could absorb. We only had 10 in our group, so a small size. Cons: the man named Michele who worked for Askos tour company. There were 3 people who missed the start of the earlier tour at 1pm (due to extreme rain), and he would not let them join our tour 2pm (we only had 10 attendees and could have had up to 20). He told them they could do the 3.30pm tour. These poor people were stuck in the rain for longer than was necessary. A shame for Askos tours!

Our guide, Paulo, was knowledgeable and very good natured toward the group. He chose good examples of typical residences and wealthy ones, baths, bakeries, kitchens, and a brothel.

Great tour. Everything went as planned. I picked the earliest time, 9:10am, which I highly recommend. By 11am it was crowded. Our guide was Sergio. He was excellent, knowledgeable and passionate about Pompeii. They gave us a small earpiece that connected to his microphone. It was great, you could always hear him even if you stepped away to look at something. Well done, Sergio!

We were extremely impressed with this tour and our tour guide Alessandra - who had worked in the ruins for 4 years while getting her Archeology degree. There is so much more to see, so, a return visit in the future is a must!

We had an amazing tour with Vincenzo. He told the history with such passion. Plan to spend many hours walking around the historic area. It is so easy to get lost there. Seeing the houses and market areas and learning how advanced these groups of people were so long ago was amazing. Definitely recommend!!!

To get the most of Pompei, a guided tour is a must. The tour brings the ancient city to life through stores and details. I gave this tour less than a 5 due to the fact that our guide had a very strong accent and with the noise of other tourists even w headsets it was difficult to decipher, which can also just be a me problem. I do recommend having a tour guide for sure!

Pompeii was amazing. Our tour guide was great too. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Parking was easy to find and the pizza at the "touristy" places was delicious. It was a great overall experience for our family.

Highly recommend this guided tour of Pompeii. Our guide (Roseanna) was so knowledgeable & entertaining. She really brought the site to life for us, which would have been hard if we were just looking round by ourselves. Meeting point was v convenient - right next to station, well organised & thoroughly enjoyable even for a usually hard to impress teenage daughter!
