We had an awesome day, we walked to the train station in Sorento from the cruise port, took the train to Pompeii. We met with Sonya who guided us through the ruins, beating the crowds while explaining everything throughly. After 2 hours we were transported to our 1st winery, Bosco De Medici, where we were provided a tour of their winery and grounds. Then off to wine tasting and a bite to eat. The wines were outstanding, we tasted 5 wines and limoncello. Our group liked all that we tasted and and had a good meal. We purchased wine and our purchase was shipped to our house. Then off to our 2nd winery, Tenuta Sorrentino, for our next tasting. The views were outstanding, the atmosphere was relaxed. The wines were good, but not as good as the 1st winery. They used the same glasses for the wines without rinsing them out. If we did the tour again we would have went to the ruins and 1 winery, however the views of the second winery made it worth the trip. We were then driven back to the cruise port in Serento.

Unfortunately, we missed the tour of Pompeii as we were running late. But the wine tours were amazing! Lorenzo our driver was so kind and knowledgeable. We had such a great time with him. He was a local so gave great tips for the area. Would miss the Pompeii tour again just for him.

Our tour guide was very experience and provided a great Pompei tour. She knew how to best navigate the city to hit best locations while avoiding the many crowd. Very interesting! Wine tour was great as well. Our guide for that portion was Lorenzo and he gave us lots of great local history and perspective while we enjoyed the lovely fruits of the vine.

“Our day started with a personal tour of Pompeii highlights - perfect amount of time to be able to ask questions and go at your pace. Followed by 2 wineries, each with extensive tastings and hearty appetizers ( plus pasta lunch served at first location). Definitely recommend this value for the money!”

This was so worth the money. The tour was incredible and informative, and the wine tastings were just fabulous. We also met some amazing people. It was a highlight of our trip. Would definitely recommend!

Our tour guide, Mena was amazing. It was so cool to see Pompeii in person and learn so much about it that I didn't know. The wineries were also a very nice end to a long, hot day. We were a little nervous at the last winery because our driver was late and we couldn't get a hold of him, but he made it up by making an extra stop at the train station for us to catch our ride back.

This was an amazing tour!!! We felt so taken care of by both or driver and your guide. Both wineries were great and we had an amazing time. Highly highly recommend!

We went to the Amalfi coast for our honeymoon, and our excursion with Taste the Experience was one of the highlights of our whole trip. Our Pompeii tour guide was so knowledgeable, and the two wineries were such a treat after walking around the ruins. Giuseppe and his team were so accommodating, and we really enjoyed getting to talk with them throughout the experience. There is a lot offered with the tour, making it well worth the price. I would absolutely book a tour with them again! I would also highly recommend booking directly with them via their website instead of going through TripAdvisor or Get Your Guide, as it will save you a little extra money.

Incredible day of history, culture, food and wine. My husband and I had a wonderful time exploring the vast site of Ancient Pompeii with our guide Fran. So knowledgeable, funny and passionate about the history and stories of this magical place. We also had a fantastic wine tasting with food driven by Dino & Giuseppe to Bosco Di Medici and then onto Sorrentino on Mt Vesuvius. Highly recommend..

Enjoyed the comibiatio. Of Pompeii tour and the wineries. The tour of Pompeii was informative, if a bit rushed. As we walked up to the site, more information on the Pompeii society would have been great along with spending more time in the plaza, which we really just walked through quickly. The guide said we were behind but we still had :30 min left in the tour at that point. The wineries were both great locations and very different from each other. The food and wine at the first location was excellent and we would have been happy to stop there. The second location had a great view, but the food was subpar.

We loved every bit of this tour - nothing could have been done differently to make it better. Our Pompeii guide was witty, charismatic, and knew every other guide there. He was able to get us around to the main highlights and share interesting tidbits so we felt we really got a great picture despite only being at the site two hours. The wineries were incredible. We got dropped off at Bosco De' Medici, where we were happily surprised to find we had a private tour via golf cart (exactly what you want after walking around Pompeii for 2 hours on a hot morning). We were immediately given a frizzante, then had a delightful three-course meal at our own table, with all the wine we could want, where we were supervised by the delightful Vincenzo and Uva the cat. When we were done, our excellent driver, Mario, whisked us off to Sorrentino for more food and wine. They mostly let us experience the tasting in peace, which is exactly what we wanted at the end of the long day. Our vinter kept reappearing to offer us wine anytime we wanted. It was a perfect start to our honeymoon.

Absolutely loved this excursion. The tour was perfect, the small group allowed us to tour around and see what we wanted. The wineries were a beautiful addition. Special.

Top notch tour. From the guided tour of Pompeii, to the two vineyards and the shuttle service between each, incredibly well done. Would absolutely do this again.

We loved this entire day! There was 13 of us, but our guide gave us ear pieces so we could hear everything she said and made us feel like we had a personal experience. The ruins are huge, and you won’t see everything in your 2 hours, but our tour guide did a fantastic job of maximizing our entire time. Plus, it was super hot when we went, so 2 hours was perfect. We opted for the 4 hours of wine tasting and I reccomend that option as it allowed us to go to two wineries. Like a few mentioned, you don’t quite feel like you’re in the thick of the mountains but the scenery was absolutely beautiful. The wine & food at the first spot were delicious. I do wish our waiter explained each wine better. The second stop was also nice and featured a bit more detail on the wines, but it’s mostly about trying them on your own as you eat. We also got to really know the other 11 people on our tour. It was cool to find out everyone’s backgrounds. TLDR: Fun, educational & lots of wine! Pro tip. If you’re coming from Naples and it’s hot out, I reccomend paying the extra $ for the Campania Express. It’s much faster and there’s AC! It was about 12 euros more a person. But worth it.

Manuella, our Pompeii tour guide, was awesome. She provided relevant information with enthusiasm, which is surprising given that she's probably said the same things hundreds of times. The wineries were not exactly on the slopes of Vesuvius like I was imagining, but they were very kind hosts with generous pours and good food. We had the opportunity to drink and eat quite a bit which made for a fun and lively afternoon with the rest of the group.

I don't know where to begin. Everything was INCREDIBLE. For starters, the tour of Pompeii was great and FULL of so much information that I had never learned before. Our tour guide, Sofia, was excellent and was such a blast. She has so much knowledge of everything Pompeii. Dino was our driver to the wineries, and he was very fun and knowledgeable on so many random things about Southern Italy. Hearing him talk about so many things about Pompeii, wine, food, and cheese was incredible. Then the Wineries... both were absolutely incredible. I have been on many wine-tasting tours through Europe, but none could be compared to the two we visited. Both were incredible and had great wine, some of the best I have ever tasted, and they didn't stop bringing us wine! This was definitely my favorite tour that I've done in Italy, and I 1000% recommend everyone to do this tour. I absolutley will do it again when I find myself in Southern Italy.

This experience was exceptional! It was our first time to Pompeii and if we hadn’t had our guide, it would have been overwhelming. The tour was a nice small group of 8 people total with our guide for 2 hours. She kept us moving along and gave us great information and stories! Our tour guide was Manuela and she was fantastic!! After the tour, Manuela passed us to our driver Gennaro who took us to our first winery. Gennaro was a hoot! So friendly and personable. The second winery was beautiful!! We started with a delicious glass of sparkling wine for a toast and went on to the garden dining area for lunch. Lunch was paired with 4 tastings, an appetizer board, and a delicious pasta dish. Followed by desert and Limoncello. So much food! We then took a quick tour of the grounds with a lovely young lady that gave us interesting information about the grounds of the winery. The staff at this winery was very attentive and some of them were quite fun! Off to the second winery with Gennaro. This one was more in the country and the views were exquisite. Here we had another 4 tastings and a “snack”- meats, cheeses, veggies, fried spaghetti- we were so full! We ended up running a little behind schedule but our driver never rushed us and didn’t make us feel bad about it- he said it was no problem. If you are looking to have an excellent day of history, wine and food (with much fun!) this experience is for you! I highly recommend it!
