We had a wonderful tour of Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii last June. Bruno was our driver and he was lovely! He was on time, professional and very knowledgeable. He provided commentary and kept us entertained the whole day. I would definitely recommend this tour and Bruno especially. It was by far our favorite tour during our trip to Italy.

Oh what a wonderful experience we had. Manuel our guide met us at the Naples pier and we began our ride in a beautiful luxury van. Manuel told us the plan for the day and did a fantastic job driving for a young 25 year old engaging young man. He told us all about the areas and answered all our questions. We had a beautiful drive along the Amalfi coast to Positano making a few stops along the way for beautiful pictures and some local shopping- purchase Limoncello for sure!! We had time in Positano, then ventured to Sorrento where Manuel suggested a restaraunt for lunch, and then on to Pompeii. Joe Bananas/Italy tour sharing is a wonderful company to deal with- Maria from the company even called as we headed back to the ship and checked on how we enjoyed the tour. We used this company in Naples and Florence and I can't say enough about how wonderful it was and how safe I felt with their driving skills. We will use this company again if we are lucky enough to come back to Italy. You won't be disappointed.

We had scheduled a private boat tour of the Amalfi coast, from Sorrento and south around the peninsula, then to Positano and Amalfi with Joe Bananas Limos. We met our driver at the hotel,and he told us that the water was really rough and it wouldn’t be a great experience. He handed me the phone so I could speak with the owner of the company, who offered to either refund us, or offered an experience, or maybe another tour. He mentioned Pompeii and I jumped on it! I had actually been trying to book a Pompeii tour with them for later on the week but they didn’t have a driver/car. So now we had both at our disposal. We made arrangements to try to rebook the boat tour for later in the week and off we went to Pompeii! Our driver, Raphael, was great. A little hard to understand but he grew up in the area and had lots of stories. He also is a HUGE movie buff so kept explaining things and comparing them to scenes in movies (that luckily we had seen.) Pretty funny! We got to Pompeii, and Joe Bananas had found an awesome guide for us. Giovanni spoke great English and didn’t go on & on. He showed us stuff, explained things, answered all our questions and most importantly squirreled us past all the huge groups of tours! After Pompeii, Raphael drove us to the Mt. Vesuvius winery for a tour, tasting and lunch. The wine was good but not amazing, and the lunch was very good. I was surprised it wasn’t included in the price of the tour, but since it was so last-minute we were happy they could even accommodate us. Two days later, Joe Bananas and the weather came thru for us! We woke to sunny skies and fairly calm seas. Calm enough for us and Salvatore, our boat driver. Raphael picked us up, and got us to the boat, which was a 36 foot boat, and very comfortable. Off we went, on a tour of the coast and waters. As we hugged the coast, Salvatore explained what we were looking at such as the big famous hotels, the ruins of the castle of the first queen of Naples, the other small towns that aren’t as famous as their neighbors. We didn’t realize that we were such a ways from the Amalfi Coast. We rode for quite a while on the Sorrento Coast, before we turned and started the Amalfi Coast. There were many little fortresses built all along the coast, which were to watch out and attack pirate ships. There are many cool grottos in the cliffs, a few we got really close to so we could see in. This is what we would have missed if we had gone out in choppier waters the other day. Salvatore pointed out a few privately owned islands, and a convent way on top of a mountain. And we finally came to Positano! We walked around for a few hours, shopped and had a lemon sorbet. Back onto the boat, and we rode past Praiano, which looked lovely. Next stop was the town of Amalfi, where we walked around and had some lunch. When we were ready, we texted Salvatore who picked us right up. We started to head back but stopped to take a dip. We stopped by one of the grottos, so we could swim in. Pretty cool. The water was warm and so clear! We didn’t swim for long but it was great to get into the water. Back to Sorrento after a fabulous day thanks to Joe Bananas!

Love the ease of these small group tours. We chose to go to Positano and Sorrento before our guided tour of Pompeii. Our driver/guide Giovanni was a delight. So personable and full of information. A proud citizen of Napoli. The day was a highlight of my entire 5 week trip.

When you hire joe banana you are getting more than a driver and a guide. You are getting a full team behind you. Bruno was an excellent source of historical information and an expert driver. He kept everything to schedule. Paulo was a fantastic guide through Pompeii. He is very knowledgeable about the site and he is also very attentive to the needs of the group. We will use this company again.

We booked a private transfer with Joe Banana Limos from the Naples train station to our hotel in Sorrento with a private guided tour of Pompeii on the way. We loved our experience so much, we booked a return transfer with a private tour of the Amalfi Coast the day we needed to go back to the train station!

We did a private tour from the cruise port in Naples to Sorrento, Positano and a stop at Pompeii with a 2nd couple we were traveling with. It was a great tour with Joe Banana Limos Company. We would highly recommend them. Our guide Nunzio (spelling?) Was terrific. He made sure we saw the best of the amalfi coast. He took us to a restaurant for lunch that he recommended which was wonderful. We would love to return and will use them again for sure!

We had a great experience and day with Massimo. Very proficient, attentive, and knowledgable. Met us at train and took great care of us through the day. Strong english skills. Took Pam to pharmacy and Greg by better exchange ATM. Paulo was a great tour guide at Pompeii. We requested and spent a second day with Massimo to tour Amalfi Coast and Sorrento. Took us to a great restaurant for lunch off beaten path, at our request, near Sorrento called FrateCosimo. Pam and I were the only tourist by all appearances.

We had Giovanni has our driver and he was amazing. He met us at our cruise port at 7:30 am and took us to Positano, Sorrento, and Pompeii. He would stop along the way for us to take pictures of the Amalfi coast. He booked us a the most magical wine tour in Pompeii for our lunch. It was by far our favorite day on our trip.

I had used Joe Bananna Limos on two previous trips and had a wonderful time so wanted to use them again. We had a fabulous day with Paolo! we were a family group of 14 so had our own mini bus. We were picked up right on time and Paolo made us feel like we were old friends. We enjoyed the Amalfi Coast with stops in Amalfi and Positano. Paolo asked us if we wanted to stop for lunch which we did. He took us to a fabulous place off the beaten track and we had just the best meal! We had a short visit to Pompeii as was our wish since it was so very hot and then went back to the ship. We had such a wonderful time! Wish we could do it again!

We loved the places Antonio brought us to especially the amazing authentic Italian lunch at the top of the hill. Antonio was great with info & just enjoyable conversation entire ride. He got us a great tour guide with no line at Pompei. We’ll definitely use again!

What an awesome tour! This was one of the highlights of our family's trip. Massimo was our driver for the Amalfi Coast. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He picked us up at our apt, tailored the trip to our needs, took a great family photo for us, helped us find a terrific place to purchase ceramic, taught us about the culture and some Italian words, and stopped at the grocery store for us! Massimo made the trip fun, and he felt like family. He introduced us to Paolo who was our tour guide at Pompeii. This was a small group tour of just our family, and Paolo made it lots of fun. He also was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic about his job, tailored the tour to us, took family photos, and made it a very enjoyable visit! These guys were terrific, and Joe Banana Tours was easy to work with and communicated well with us. You won't go wrong booking this tour. We highly recommend it.

We we're so happy with our tour. Italo and Franchesco gave us exceptional service. The luxury van was so comfortable, very clean. Italo organized the route so we can make the most of it. He always consulted with our group to make sure we were all happy and doing good. The office in doing booking had excellent follow-up and very responsive. I would highly recommend them if you are in Italy!

Just returned from a Mediterranean cruise. One of the main things we wanted to see was Pompeii, but the cruise line did not offer a tour there, so we used Joe Banana Limos. They were an EXCELLENT choice. Our tour driver for the day was Giovanni -- he was waiting for us when we got off the tender boat at the Port of Amalfi with a warm welcome and smile on his face. He had planned our day out perfectly -- he checked on traffic that morning to plot out our route to maximize the amount of time we had. First we drove up the Amalfi coast where he pointed out so many beautiful sites and stopped to take pictures several times. The roads were very narrow and twisty-turny, but we felt very safe with Giovanni driving. The Mercedes van was in excellent condition and very comfortable. We made a short stop at Sorrento (enough time to try the Limoncello and purchase a few souvenirs!) then on to Pompeii where our private guide, Paolo, was waiting for us. As requested, he had pre-purchased our entrance tickets to Pompeii so that we didn't have to stand in line for them. He kept us moving for the 2 hour tour and really brought Pompeii to life. My husband could have spent days there, but we didn't have that kind of time. Paolo made sure we saw all of the top sites at Pompeii. Paolo called Giovanni when were finished and he was waiting for us at the exit of Pompeii. He had called ahead to make a lunch/wine tasting reservation at the Bosco De'Medici winery, We told him we had gone to the Gambino winery the day before (Mt Etna volcano area) and he wanted to be sure we were able to compare the wine from the Mt Vesuvius volcano area. We only had an hour, so he made sure they took good care of us! After lunch we drove back through the Milky Mountains and then back down to the Port of Amalfi. What a wonderful day -- it really was one of the top highlights of our trip! We had never arranged a private tour before, so were a bit nervous. I HIGHLY recommend Joe Banana Limos -- we will definitely use them again if we are able to return to Italy. If you get Giovanni as your tour guide, he will keep you entertained and provide lots of information, we would love to have him as a tour guide again. He was very courteous and professional.

Antonio was our driver and he was so funny and knowledgeable. He was very patient with us and has a great sense of humor. The drive up the coast was breathtaking and the restaurant we had lunch at was wonderful. So much food... Also, get Antonio for pizza recommendations. They might sound weird but just try it. We tried the pizza exactly how he suggested and loved it. At Pompei, Paolo was a riot. He kept us entertained throughout the entire tour. This man really knows his stuff and is so funny. He kept us laughing for hours.
