Paolo was great. Had a lot of interesting information and kept the group entertained. He gave much info, and always took time to answer anyone's questions.

ANDRE was our archaeological guide at Pompeii. His knowledge and passion for this ancient city brought history to life in a way I could have never imagined.

Daniela Mantice was our guide, and as an art historian she really brought Pompeii to life in a wonderful way. From the history, the people, the cultures to the chemical reactions between Vesuvius’s storm and the city’s painted surfaces, Daniela’s span of knowledge was highly impressive. She has worked with one of the most renowned historian of Herculaneum and Pompeii on the planet, and I am sure he learned from her! She answered our questions and we enjoyed her liveliness and humor. I could not possibly recommend her highly enough.

The Pompeii Ruins is a must-do with a guide since they have so much knowledge about the history and every detail on the ruin. We got lucky with the Askos Tours Guide Paolo since he’s an archaeologist. His knowledge on the ruins was amazing, and his pace on the tour was really good too. He kept us all engaged throughout the tour. I highly recommend doing this tour if you’re visiting the Pompeii Ruins.

Our guide Andrea was the best, he made the whole visit. He had a explanation for everything and made it easy to ask questions.

Location was easy to find. Our guide Paolo is interesting and knowledgeable. You could tell he was very passionate about the topic as well. I went for the 4:30pm tour and although it was a little rush to get through the places (some of the exhibits inside closes at 6) but there were also barely anyone in there so it was a much more enjoyable experience.

Very well organised and interesting. Our guide Rosselle was very knowledgeable and answered all questions on top of all the interesting facts she told us. Rosselle was also fun and approachable. The tour itself was better than I imagined.

Alfredo is an amazing archeologist. Very well explanations and fit for the group. Sad in our group there were people with very little knowledge, but he patiently managed the participants. Congratulations to him.

Our tour guide was Alessandra and she was wonderful. A PhD in Archeology, she knew everything about Pompei and was so interesting. She also answered questions and provided more than we expected. Fabulous!! Go early as it gets hot!

Paolo was a great tour guide! We had a lot of fun and giggles with him. We had enough time to take everything in and take pictures. It was so great to be there and to experience Pompeii. Great archaeologists. Only to recommend.

Alfredo De Luca was exceptional and we are still talking about him and what he taught us about Pompeii as we head home. He always referred to Pompeii as “this beautiful city.” He filled the entire 3 hours with so much information about the site, how they are discovering new items and cataloging them, how the people lived, the tile work and the art. It was better than expected! My family loved it! Two teenagers 15 and 17 yo said this was the best part of their trip. We recommend this tour and especially, Alfredo.

My husband and I booked this tour from a recommendation that stated " it ticked all the boxes for me when I visited Pompeii" - I found myself agreeing with her and more. Our guide Paulo is a professional archaeologist who had a wealth of information to share with us but also would share different working theories on what diffrent discoveries meant- so we could get into the mindset of the people who are navigating us through these discoveries. I know I'm not Indiana Jones, but my inner geek was fascinated 😀 His humour was also excellent kept things lively and I forgot that I was walking for over 3 hours! Our weather was good but I would highly recommend keeping a water bottle on you in case the temperatures get unbearable. My husband particularly enjoyed the the detailed visualisations that Paulo so we could get a good mental image of what day to day life was like in Pompeii. Oh and they give you wireless headsets to wear the entire time so even if you're not right next to the guide you can hear him clearly 100% of the time.

Excellent tour. This is the way to see Pompeii. Our guide was an archeologist, and her knowledge of the history, architecture and culture was more than we could ever have expected. Money well spent!
