We had a great time on this walking food tour. It was exactly like the ad said it was. Marcel was very knowledgeable and shared the history of the area. His English is excellent and very entertaining. The food locations we stopped at were out of the way and we would not have ventured on own to find but so worth it.

This is an excellent tour. We visited several local establishments off the standard tourist path. The guide Indy is exceptional. He provides a great overview of the area as well as the food. Everything was delicious! Highly highly recommended!

Marcel provided an amazing experience, walking through the streets of Plya Del Carmen. From start to finish Marcel not only shared his knowledge of Mexican cuisine but unique tidbits of culture and mythology as well. Each tasting was delicious and served by gracious hosts at each stop. Walking through the different neighbourhoods and stoping to discuss the different street art and notable monuments, was a great part of the tour as well. Excellent food tour with Indy, full of local knowledge, stories, information and fun facts! Catered to everyone's taste from no spice to a lot of spice. So much tasty food with delicious drinks and cool stop-offs on the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Indy and would recommend it 100% to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen.

Enrique was a wonderful guide!! He had so much information on the history of Playa, the beautiful street art and on the healthy aspects of the food. Oh and the food….it was wonderful!! I had the best tamale ever, fantastic mole (not too hot) and very tasty carnitas. I will definitely suggest this walking tour to everyone!!!

It was a pleasure to have Indy as my tour guide. He is full of energy and knows everything about Playa del Carmen. He showed us all the nice food places and took everybody into account, it’s no issue if you have any dietary requests. Along the way he also took pictures and his communicating skills are great! Good tour of Playa del Carmen. I think if they had slipped in a few tequila or mezcals along the way, that would have made things better. Or even the option to get a beer at some point. We got to try some interesting eats, however you end up with a lot of food. Go hungry and with an open mind, try something new - that's part of the fun

Marcel was awesome! Not only did I learn about the amazing food in his history come up, but history about the Mayan culture and the area as well as other parts of Mexico as well. So much more than I bargained for in the best way possible!!

The tour was really fun, and the food was sooo good! Our tour guide Henry was knowledgeable and gave us lots of interesting information about the town, culture, and food we were eating. I would highly recommend this food tour to anyone!

We really enjoyed this tour from beginning to end. Marcel was absolutely the best tour guide we have had on any tour we have taken. Loved not only the food but the history behind Playa del Carmen. We enjoyed the games played to help with learning Spanish. Marcel took time to ensure we were all enjoying ourselves and answered any questions we had. I definitely am giving this 5 stars and and highly recommending to family and friends.

What a great day!! Marcel the tour guide was an amazing guide. He taught us some history about the town, its cultures and their customs. We ate some delicious food prepared by the locals, places that we would have walked right past not knowing what we were missing in our previous visits. The food, our guide, and the restaurants we visited were all gracious hosts and friendly people. I would and have already recommended this tour to all my family and friends and would like to try the other tours offered by Eating With Carmen!! This was amazing!! Diego (Diego10) was a tremendous guide! Getting to see Playa off the beaten path was a treat. The food was top notch. Learning about the culture and the meaning and tradition of the foods we ate was an enjoyable experience. We got to try infused water, tamales, Fresco water, several different authentic tacos, Mole enchiladas, and more. Be aware that this is A LOT of food! I would recommend only eating about 2/3 of each dish as we were too full at the end and had to share some items. If you would like to try authentic food made by authentic locals, this tour is a must see!

Enrique was fantastic as was the local cuisine that we never would have happened upon without guidance. Great experience!
