Had a great private tour with Oihana! She’s very knowledgeable but most of all very passionate about Basque culture and the local cuisine. Food tour is a must have booking in my itinerary as it let’s you to discover more than you normally would on your own.

We had with Oihana an excellent guide. Very knowledgebale and funny. But the price value ratio was poor. Standard taps, pintxos and drinks. We paid 135 EUR per person. Our expectations were not met at all.

We booked the tour with Oihana having seen all the lovely review from previous clients - what a good decision! Our only mistake was leaving it til our last day in Bilbao, take note, worth booking for your first day since the city tour, info and insight is valuable. Good company and lots of interesting history about the city, we both thoroughly enjoyed the foodie elements of the tour as well as the background about the city. Thank you.

We stopped in Bilbao while on a cruise in August. To help celebrate a 50th Birthday we treated ourselves to this tour and it did not disappoint. Oihana was fantastic and told us a lot about the history of the Basque region that she holds such pride for. The food was great, we learned about the popular pixto that locals have for lunch, the white wine was amazing, and carrot cake at the end of the route was the best dessert I have ever eaten! Would definitely recommend this tour to everyone- if there’s something you don’t like Oihana will definitely find something to suit your taste! And thanks again Oihana for making sure we were safe and on our way back in a taxi before the ship left port;)

A big 'eskerrik asko' to Oihana for providing me with a lot of Basque background history in general and specific about Bilbao, and introducing me to the way of eating pintxos and various local drinks. The tour started with an small introduction of the Basque country and language, after that a historical go through of Bilbaos history. Accompanied with pictures on her ipad, so the history really came to 'life'. Very interesting to hear about the mining industry, they way the Basques invented things and necessities when in need, example the bank BBVA. After that, we set out for pintxos and drinks. Starting with a pintxo, Oihana told me she ate as a little girl. A very delicate shrimp and mayonnaise pintxo. Together with that, we had a glass of txakoli - a local white basque wine, tasting wonderful crisp and kind of bubly, but without bobbles. I also got to taste the green pepers with anchovies on a stick - very tasty as well. Then we headed to a new bar, where I got a crab pintxo - crispy and soft at the same time, and a bit messy to eat - tasted wonderful. Next stop, I had a iberico jamon pinxto, where the meat was cutted very small a sprinkled with cheese, I cannot remember if it was the local cheese idiazabal. or not. With that I drank a glass of cider, and I got the story how the Basques traditionally drink cider, and it sounded a lot of fun! Next time. Then we went to the central train station, where I was shown a huge and beautiful glass stained window. It was on the way to Casco Viejo (The Old City), and we had one more stop at the bridge to enjoy the view and surroundings. Oihana pointed out places of interest and historic sites. Near the Casco Viejo metro station, we sat down to have our next pintxo, and I was getting quite full, so I choose a smaller mushroom pintxo with a hint of garlic on the top - very delicious. The tour ended at a pasteleria, where we got a lovely cake and a coffee, I cannot remember the name of the cake, but it was the only place in Bilbao, where they still was making the cake with rice flour. It was a very rich and delicious cake. As a little treat, I was given a traditional cheese candy, which had for me a stange sweet taste of - yes - cheese :) I was the only guest attending that day, and to that extent felt so well taken care of by Oihana, and I am sure, I will have felt the same if we were 8 people, because of her personality and not being afraid of giving something of herself. On top of that, I was impressed by her way to communicate the history and food knowledge in an interesting and personal way.

This was one of the best food tours we've ever been on. Oihanna was terrific, as was the food. We tried a lot of different Pintxos, several wines and a local cider. We learned a lot, ate a lot and had a lot of fun. Highly recommend!

We had a great afternoon with Oihana. The bars she chose provided a nice variety of delicious Pintxos and drinks. In addition, we would never have learned so much about the history of Bilbao if we had been on our own. Oihana made everything very interesting as we saw the city through the eyes of a native. A really exceptional tour of the city which we would highly recommend.

My husband and I had the pleasure of experiencing the Pintxo and Tapas tour with Oihana. From the moment we met her, we were captivated by her passion for sharing the rich history and culture of the region. Even though many establishments were closed due to Easter week, Oihana still managed to lead us through a carefully curated selection of bars and restaurants, each offering a unique and mouthwatering array of pintxos and tapas. She selected the best pintxo from each bar and paired it with a different drink for us. We learned so much during the tour, and it became clear that Bilbao has a true passion for good food. Oihana made sure we left full and satiated despite the holiday closures. I highly recommend the Pintxo and Tapas tour with Oihana to anyone visiting the area. Don't miss this incredible experience!

We had a wonderful afternoon on this tour. Oihana was the perfect host - she taught us a lot about the history and culture of Bilbao and the Basque people. All of the bars we visited were great and we wouldn’t have known to pick - we really got the ‘insider info’ on the best places to eat and drink. We didn’t feel like we were on a guided tour - rather out for lunch with a good friend. Oihana even gave us recommendations for where else we needed to visit on our trip, so the tour hasn’t yet ended! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bilbao - the highlight of our holiday!

Our guide was Oihana and she was wonderful! We started our tour at Puppy, then walked around the newer parts of Bilbao first. We then crossed the bridge and walked around the Old Town. We stopped at five local places (no chains) and tried some pinxtos that these places were famous for. Also drank different types of wines, txacoli, and cider. We ended at Plaza Nuevo for coffee and sweet cakes/desserts. Oihana was very knowledges about wines overall and explained the different types of grapes from the Basque region and what types of wines they make. She also discussed places of historic and cultural significance. Overall, this was a wonderful tour. If I could give it more than five stars, I would! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Oahana was an excellent guide. She shared a to of history as well as just good tips about the city. We had some wonderful Pintxos and nice drinks while walking around this beautiful city. She was also kind enough to send us a rundown of all the places we’d gone and things we’d tried. Would highly recommend
