Neil was very helpful and mindful when we are doing our hike to Delicate Arch given the balance issue I have. He was assisting and guiding me along the way to ensure my safety. A small and customized tour like this has a lot of advantages against the typical tour composed of large groups. Prior to the actual tour, Neil was very responsive to my inquiries even not related to the tour. I will definitely hire his company for any tour needs when in Utah.

There is no way I can pick a favorite part. From Neal's arrival to pick us up until our drop off, our day was better than we could have imagined. After I booked our day, Neal called to get familiar with my family. As a grandmother, I wanted to give my 12 years old grandson, my son and daughter-in-law a day to remember so I told Neal we were an active family, but not big time hikers or climbers. He made plans that were perfect for us. Also, when I called him last minute and told him my 19 year granddaughter had decided she wanted to join us, he said no problem. Neal was so knowledgeable about all the local secrets and spots in The Arches National Park. Lunch was not your typical box lunch. Sooo good! He was also a great conversationalist and kept us all entertained on our drive from Salt Lake City to The Arches. By the time our day ended we were like longtime, old friends . My daughter and I were undecided about taking such a long tour in the heat (August), but decided to book the tour as it was our only chance to see the Arches National Park. We have taken many small-to medium group tours but the chance to customize our day was a large factor. Were we ever so grateful that we made the choice to go. Neil and his wife Sarah are the owners and Neil does the driving and touring. The tour was amazing. Neil is very knowledgable about the area and loves to share his experiences with the land. Due to the heat and my mobility he customized the tour as we went and gave us choices so we could have the best experience. He knew where the best camera angles were and helped us take some gorgeous pictures. We were able to also do some off-roading (a highlight for me!) with his amazing customized vehicle. There were plenty of snacks and water. Lunch was customized for us as we are vegetarians. It was made by Sarah and delicious. There were also plenty of offers for bathroom stops. The tour was planned well and we were very comfortable during the entire trip. I would highly recommend this company. They truly care about the experience of their guests and want to share their love of Utah with you.

An amazing way to experience capitol reef! Wish we had the chance to experience all national parks like this! Great lunch was included as well as a good instruction on how to drive off road. Neil definitely does everything to make you feel comfortable. Moreover, when you say Neil, you say fun! He knows a lot about the surroundings and adapts well to the group.

Book your trip of a lifetime with Desert Solitude NOW, don’t think about it, just book it. We just returned from a 3-day custom adventure trip and I am still stoked about it. Our guide Neil was the bomb. He took care of everything so we could just enjoy the adventure. Day 1 was the trip from Salt Lake City to Canyonlands National Park. The trip from Salt Lake City was a few hours, but we hit it off right away with Neil and it was like we had been friends all of our lives. The SUV we traveled in was luxurious and Neil made sure we were comfortable the entire way. Canyonlands National Park was our first Park, where we were treated to a fantastic lunch prepared by Neil. The scenery was amazing, from the canyons to the Mesa Arch, you must see it with your own eyes. Neil is very knowledgeable of the area, he gave us history and geology points during the entire trip. We traveled on to Moab, where Neil had arranged our excellent accommodations. Day 2 was my fave, a desert dirtbike tour where we rented dirtbikes from Ride Moab Industries for the day. Neil was very careful to take us on trails that we were comfortable on, as we had never ridden on those types of desert terrain. We rode 44 miles of trails! After dinner we went to see the sunset at Arches National Park, so gorgeous. We spent all Day 3 in Arches National Park. Our hiking adventure took us to three areas of the park, lots of very challenging trails to see Delicate Arch, then Double Arch, then finally Double O Arch. Again, Neil provided lunch cooked on his grill, and despite the gusting winds, we had a delicious hot meal. We ended the day at Park Avenue, where Neil gave us a surprise to end our tour. Overall, we had a great adventure tour, the trip of a lifetime, thanks to Neil and his expertise and excellence. Amazing tour of Arches National Park! Neil was a great guide! He had a wealth of knowledge of Arches and the general Salt Lake City area as well. He made our trip even more fabulous. He was easy to reach to answer all of my questions prior to my trip via phone and text messaging. He catered the tour to make sure we had an enjoyable time while visiting Arches. He was attentive to our needs and I would recommend this tour to anyone and would do a tour with him again when I am back in this area. We stopped at a great restaurant for dinner on our way back to Salt Lake City and he even turned the car around and stopped to let use view a herd of Elk on the side of the road! Great tour and guide! If you plan to visit Arches go with Dessert Solitude for the most memorable experience.

We had a great time with our tour. Besides the beauty of its nature , our tour guide was knowledgeable and accommodating. I like the food as well. We had kebab and hobo for lunch for a 2- day trip in The arches and canyon lands. Overall it was indeed a great experience to treasure!!

Booked a day trip to Bryce Canyon with Neil from Desert Solitude and it was the best experience ever. Neil was so accommodating from start to finish. It was the white glove service which set Neil's tour heads and shoulders above any we had ever had in our life. They say the devil is in the details, and he checked all the boxes on that front, from the snacks/conversation/music and drinks in on the car en route, to our lunch experience. In the past, a lunch would be some pre-packed tuna or peanut butter sandwiches, but when Neil put us in a picturesque setting, pulled six comfy lounge chairs off the roof rack, and hooked up a BBQ grill and made us steak Kabobs and potato salad which were delicious. The timing of the lunch and giving us the protein, just before a 2.5 hour hike thru Bryce. On the hike, we received detailed history about every monument in sight, and he was equipped with gatorade, water and snacks along the way. My kids are still talking about him a week later, he made THAT much of an impact on our tour and we can't wait for our next Utah excursion.

This tour was the highlight of our trip! Neil was an amazing tour guide who accommodated us in every way possible. He individualized our tour to make it our most memorable experience. This tour was by far the highlight of our trip. Neil our guide was amazing, knowledgeable, felt like an old friend from the minute he picked us up. Neil catered to our every need, toured, hiked, went at our pace, never felt rushed, he told us info along the way about the Arches Park, we had the time of our lives, an experience we will never forget! On a side note , I am a single mom who was traveling with my two teen kids, I felt comfortable and safe with Neil the entire time, he looked after us ( I was recently in a car accident and had no use of my right arm) he made sure we were safe, adventured with my kids in places I couldn't go, he treated my kids like his own, I can't tell you enough how fun and wonderful this trip is!!!! Such beautiful sites and scenery, we will never forget this adventure!!

Our day trip to Arches was amazing! Our tour guide was Neil he is very friendly, easy to talk to and knowledgeable about the area. Which is good because the drive from SLC to Arches is 3-4 hours. On that long drive you will really appreciate the large, clean and comfortable SUV that they use. We had a group of four, 2 adventures and active teenagers, my aunt who is a young 50 but not into hiking and myself 30 not in shape at all and I sprained my ankle a few days before the trip. Neil was able to customize the tour so that it worked for all of us. My aunt and I walked right up to the Arches and the teenagers ran up and climbed on the Arches. The whole time we were on the tour Neil was taking photos of the trip and the pictures came out great. Last but most certainly not least I have to add that lunch was amazing, for an included lunch we were expecting something like a sandwiches but it was grilled steak and vegetable kabobs and they were absolutely delicious.

Owner Neil picked us up at our Park City resort in a large very comfortable SUV. He was unbelievable for the entire trip. Full of knowledge on the areas on this 4-hour drive to Arches NP. Very affordable One-day tour was a Top 3 Bucket List tour we have ever taken. I cannot stress enough how great Neil was. We were taking our own amazing pictures on our cell phones, and I would see Neil with his SLR Camera taking pics of his own. He would hike with us and narrate and take pics of us too. Found a great spot and made US lunch at the park. He did whatever we wanted, assisted along the way with anything. He was at our beckon call. After a long day, my wife and I fell asleep in the car while Neil drove on back to Park City. Truly amazing experience. The amount of detail and impeccable service that was given to us was honestly the best we have ever had. Don't bother with other tour companies.....this company does it right. DESERT SOLITUDE. They will cater your tour to whatever you want. Overnight stay in Moab, no problem. Add another National Park to the trip, no problem. P.S. So all those pics Neil was taking included a bunch with my wife and I in it. He promptly send them ALL to me via an app. I'm talking PORTRAIT WORTHY pictures that just accentuated the detail to attention that they give. Hands down the best part of my trip to Utah! Had an amazing time hiking and site seeing the most popular spots! Neil did a great job explaining the history, rock formations and etc! I high recommend it and I’m most definitely booking another tour the next time I’m in Utah!
