Philae Temple was beautiful and the late afternoon sun shimmering on Lake Nasser made the place magical. My guide Dowa was knowledgeable about the historical aspects of Philae and was fluent in hieroglyphs and could read anything on the walls. Amazing.

Great experience and a real once in a life time opportunity. I learned a lot about there history of the area and had a great time seeing the beautiful views of the region. I hope everyone is able to experience this.

It is a must see while in Aswan, the short boat trip to reach the philae temple adds fun and beauty to the visit. History talks for itself and it's amazing how the Pharaoh's were so advanced. The only way to go is by boat and it is a breathtaking trip. Once you reach ask for Saad the monument keeper and he will guide you through the history of the temple and how it was moved to its current location after the Nile flood back in the days.
