Great fun! The instructor explained everything from the types of ingredients to the techniques well. The small group sizes were perfect!

The pesto class was amazing, best experience yet. We were served loads of wine, glasses kept being topped up, water was offered. Really good portions of food plus a cute little limoncello and lemon cake at the end. It was also really informative and a really good class to learn how to make pesto in. Nessun Dorma has nothing on this, come here instead

After not being sure how many people would come we ended up having a private lesson and she taught us all about the different kinds of pesto, pasta and other local foods and drinks like limoncino. She prepared one portion of pesto herself and then each one of us was able to prepare one as well which we got to eat. The class ended with a local lemon cake and limoncino! Unforgettable experience!!!

Wonderful experience in a delightful shop, in the streets of Levanto. Lots of pesto to sample, including wine and at the end, lemon cake and limoncello! Came away with a sound knowledge of how to make pesto!

The course overall was a lot of fun. Our host made sure we were always equipped with a beverage and was really good in giving instructions. The class is more or less communal, so instead of working on our own individual pesto, we took turns at the mortar where there was usually 2 persons per mortar/pestle. In the end, this was quite nice because we got to try a bit of everyone's pesto to compare and each group made 2 batches of pesto. It was a nice and relaxed atmosphere and overall a fun experience.

You can't beat fresh anything. Pesto is easy to make once you know how. And, you'll never go back to eating the rubbish they sell in supermarkets. Well taught in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Great event for only two people in a private setting. Fantastic explanations with lots of information and own production of pesto. Raffles of different varieties combined with a wine from the region. Always my pleasure.

It was a perfect one hour experience! Marnea was knowledgeable and kind! She took us through not just the making of pesto, but also told us about specific pastas it is served with from the area. We learned what makes a “great” pesto great! The wine flowed and we even had an unexpected treat of a local dessert. The members of our family have all taken various culinary classes and found this short class was just right for us. Bellissima!

Nice location, there were just 2 couples for the class, it was interesting and we enjoyed watching pesto being made then making it ourselves. Lots of tasting and wine. Class only lasted an hour and even though we enjoyed it we felt it was lacking something, maybe more info on olive oil or how to make the various other pestos that we tasted.

Awesome class! Pesto was some of the best I’ve had. The couple that runs the grocery store is so knowledgeable and friendly.

We had a ball at the pesto class! It was easy to find and quick to get to, even from La Spezia. We sampled several different types of pesto, olive oil, Cinque Terre DOP wine, and other spreads, and then go into making the pesto. Delicious! Our teenage nieces had lots of fun, too. After the class, we loaded up on goodies to take (and ship) home. It was a quick class, which left lots of time to continue exploring Cinque Terre afterwards. Really glad we did it.

This Peston Course was fabulous! I had made pesto before ( many times) but, it was so fun making it with Monie.😍. She was very knowledgeable about the region, basilico and pesto. Her family was/is from Levanto and she still works with her parents and husband together.. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and she made it even better by just being adorable and helping take pictures and videos! Levanto is beautiful!

We had a lovely time learning to make pesto with Mornia. She demonstrated and then let us (family of 3) make some. We tasted delicious samples of everything. It was about one half hour. A perfect way to experience Levanto!

Wasn't really sure what to expect but went based on reviews. So happy we did! We absolutely loved our personal class. Our teacher was fabulous - it was very casual yet highly informative, interactive and so fun! We had read to hike back from Levanto to our hotel in Monterosso (highly recommend the hike if you are up for 2.5 hrs!) but due to this, we couldn't actually buy anything in her lovely shop as we would have had to carry it on our hike! Such a lovely way to really roll up your sleeves and experience the Italian coast...I couldn't recommend it more!

The course is at the rear of a shop where they sell lots of pesto, olive oil, wine and other delicious items. The chef gives you a bit of history of the local foods, makes pesto and then you get to make your own pesto. In the mean time you get slightly drunk on local win and eat a lot of lovely snacks. All in all, a lot of fun! Highly recommend!
