A wonderful class with Chef Mateo. He explained everything very well. I am not a beginner but I learned some new tricks and recipes. Other guests were a “no show” so I really had a private class. The kitchen is wonderful and in a food market and restaurant hall. One thing a bit difficult to find venue. The kitchen you cook in is on the second floor, great class and great location.

My husband, two young adult sons, and I took the pasta making class, and we had a blast! We all agreed that it was the most fun activity of our entire Italian trip. Highly recommend!

My son and I took the course together and were so excited to learn new tricks and techniques! Our chef was very knowledgable and patient when providing instruction. HIGHLY recommend!

This was my most favorite part of my trip to Milan. We had such a good time and Alfredo was the best. The food was delicious, we did the pumpkin ravioli, saffron risotto and the tiramisu. We got lucky that day and there was only one other couple with us, so we got extra special time and conversation :-)

It was amazing real learning tips and advice and such a nice and cozy environment worth all the money and more. The highlight of the trip in Milan. We were in a small group of 4 in total so we talked a lot about food and food culture. coming from Iceland, it's nice to hear about the difference between

The best thing I did in Milano. If you're there and don't know what to do I couldn't recommend this enough. Was just me and Alfredo which at first I was a little hesitant about but I had a blast. He was super kind and very funny. Plus a great chef and really knew Milanese culture and cuisine. The market tour was amazing and learned tons and afterward I had tons of questions just about Italian culture and he didn't shy away from any question I had. He's a great guy and this is an amazing experience. Plus it's in one of the nicest kitchens I've ever been in. All in all this is an amazing experience and I still think about it daily. Thank you very much Alfredo!

Class was so much fun and learned a lot of useful tips for making pasta. Teacher was very friendly and gave the right amount of instruction while allowing all students in the class to be hands on throughout the process. Highly recommend! Note for anyone taking the class, we had trouble finding where the room was located. In the train station, enter the food market. Go up the stairs within the food market and you should be able to find it. Highly recommend!

The chef, Alfredo, was a great teacher. He took the time the time to share local insights, he was a great teacher and made the cooking class very enjoyable.

We took this class during our honeymoon and it was a great experience. The market tour was good, we liked the mercato so much, that we basically spent the following day there to try all the great food. Chef Francesco gives great cooking tips for hobby cooks. Risotto milanese Was delicious, as where the Ravioli. Dessert also great. 10/10 would do again.

This was the best experience and one of the highlights of my trip. Chef Alfredo was Amazing! The food was Amazing and I learned a lot of tips and tricks in pasta making. The location is great and when I return I will take the pizza class!

Loved the experience and learned some new ways (proper ways!) of making risotto! Francesco, our chef (who has worked in a Michelin star restaurant), was friendly, knowledgeable and offering lots of insights and information. Learned to not say 'we wanted some cheese', we needed to specify which cheese!

9.30 am arrival at the meeting point by using Google map. No sign or no guide at the meeting point. I waited 30 min and called the tour guide at 10.02 am. She asked me to go outside of the train station and turn left when facing the plaza. I did and found a taxi driver to speak to her over the phone. Taxi driver couldn’t understand the direction either. On the phone for another 45 min until 10.45 am, asked people around in the meantime and nobody knows where the cooking school is. Far passing the class time., the tour guide instructed me not to go to the class because it’s too late and notified me no refund either for me and my mom. I contacted Viator. Sending all my recordings. Waiting to see how this can be resolved. Not sure how the class goes. The tour guide over the phone is terrible. No refund is going to be the joke in the century.

A penchant for cooking develops over time and in many ways. For some it’s tutelage and years of service for others it’s at home in Nonnas kitchen. No matter the circumstance, a love of food and its careful preparation is at the heart of cooking…at least for me. With that intention during a recent holiday to Milan I joined a class at Milano Chefs Towns of Italy Cooking Schools. The classroom is located in the Mercator Centrale next to Milans Central Station. On the second floor, above the bustling food market you will enjoy several hours preparing several Italian staple dishes. Our class worked in teams or in groups to prepare fresh pasta that was used for pumpkin ravioli and to whip up a traditional tiramisu. Our instructor coached on ingredients and proper technique as we prepared these Italian specialties. Then with that work complete we were lead through the market where we were schooled on how to incorporate tartuffe into recipes, the preparation of carbonara, and the art of cheese making. After this we returned to the classroom where our instructor prepared a traditional saffron risotto as the class prepared to sample our work. Excellent instruction by skilled chefs with a strong appreciation for the proper use of ingredients. We joined a very international group with varying degrees of time spent in the kitchen. The class size made it easy to get one on one assistance. You will be standing for much of this hands on class. The classroom is well lit and comfortable and really all you need to bring is your strong interest in getting to know more about Italian cuisine. The class is well worth the time you will spend on your holiday.

Challenging to find, as it is upstairs from the food market within the central station. Once there, the class was exceptional. The food was incredible the chef was superb.

A truly well done cooking experience ! The chefs were very knowledgeable. I learned some great tips on executing the dishes and the recipes were excellent ! I have taken several classes before and I felt this one was one of the best .Highly recommend this class.

Loved this cooking experience! I hadn't done a cooking class before but this was really fun. It was in a cool food market in the Milan train station. I thought we were going to be shopping for the ingredients to use in the class but that wasn't the case. While the food prep happened behind the scenes and our desserts rested in the fridge, we did a tour of the market and learned about the different foods being sold - which was great. So, we didn't shop for the ingredients used, as I was thinking, but it was fun to learn about so many different dishes. 10/10 recommend!
