Port Aransas is a fantastic place to to visit. The beaches are great for swimming, sometimes surfing & definitely fishing. I would suggest you rent a golf cart or find a place that comes with one. We don't usually use or vehicle once we arrive and use the golf cart to the grocery store, beach and dinner at any of the in town restaurants. The Pirate ship is silly for adults but still a great time when you swill a little rum. If you're a fisherman, time to setup a charter with many of the local fishermen. All & all The Palm Republic steals my heart every time.

Unfortunately what we were led to believe through many positive reviews and the list of “what to expect” (Party Cruise”?), our experience would have been different, but this cruise lacked much. First of all, we did not have a safety briefing, which many might know (we ourselves are boat owners). We believe this would be a requirement for such a cruise. We have no idea if they even had one life jacket. We had no “fun and festive vibe.” If it weren’t for the fact that one passenger fortunately had the capability to set up her phone and speaker, there would have been no music at all. What we mainly had hoped for was dolphins and some education of the surroundings; such didn’t happen either. We understand dolphins cannot be commanded to appear, and we were alerted to 3 that appeared briefly in the far distance, yet we learned only what the Captain answered when a passenger made an inquiry. We never saw a lighthouse. Before we knew it, we were headed back, about an hour 15 minutes later. If we had paused or anchored, we would have time for snacks & welcomed socialization. The Captain was very pleasant and helpful with my boarding (as I had a slight mobility challenge) and he got us back safely, however he appeared to lack the background knowledge expressed by the other captains mentioned in the reviews. Perhaps if we had been on the Tiki vessel, it would have been a positive experience as mentioned in most of the reviews, but we didn’t realize we had a choice.

I am headed to Port Aransas this weekend and wanted to take the party cruise. I was very disappointed to see on the reservation page that you couldn't book a solo ticket. Not everyone travels in a group of 4!

Took the family out to see dolphins and had a wonderful experience with Captian Kirk. He was very knowledgeable of the area and explaining things to the kids. If you’re visiting Port A then I would highly recommend Captian Kirk’s Tiki Cruises for some good family fun.

We LOVED the cruise! Scenery is beautiful, Captain is fun and friendly, the boat is awesome & comfortable with a bathroom onboard! Loved seeing all of the dolphins! If you are in Port A you have to check out Capt Kirk’s Tiki Cruises! Best part is you can make your reservations online and it’s BYOB!! Happy Cruising!!

If you look at the description and the pictures they make it appear you are boarding a party barge with a crew, music and fun. However, that's not the case. It's a super old yacht. They claim there is a bathroom, but it clearly hasn't been cleaned in years. All of the seats were mildewed, there was no music or the ability to play it, and there was one guy driving the boat that didn't speak to us. In talking with others at that marina they said so many are upset over being misled. At the very least they should provide seating, music and clean it. How can you call this a party barge?

We booked a cruise to see the dolphins. Captain Kirk and Captain Dillon both reached out as the coast guard had issued a boat ban. The waters and winds (30/40mph) were too dangerous. They both showed concern and regret at having to reschedule for the following day. I greatly appreciate that our lives and safety were so valued. Departure day arrived!!! Captain Dillon was so full of information and his love for the waters were felt. We had beyond an amazing experience. Captain Dillon’s intuition and connection w the dolphins led us to all the action. His interaction w us was like boating w family. I highly recommend this cruise above any other options. This was beyond 5 stars. God bless you and keep you safe Captain Dillon!! 🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬

Reservation was easy. Great communication from Capt. Kirk. Cruise was low key and the capt. was fun and very accommodating. Saw dolfins, the lighthouse and they even dropped us by the Warf to reload on beer. We recommend!

We had a wonderful time on our cruise. The light house was beautiful and we saw so many dolphins along the cruise. They put on quite a show for us. The Captain had great history he shared as well. Thanks for a great cruise.

We went out on Captain Kirk's boat (the party cruise, **there are family cruises too that I'm sure are just as great!) during Labor Day weekend and had an AWESOME time. It's a new business just a month or so old, so that's why there are a lack of reviews at the moment. We were a group of 4 in our mid twenties just looking for neat things to do in Port A that weren't already booked for Labor Day weekend. Not sure how we stumbled upon this but I'm glad we did. I called Kirk a couple of times before our book date to clear up details and he was very responsive and friendly. Captain Dylan took us out on a two hour trip for the cruise. Meeting instructions were simple, and from there it was just two hours of a real good time. Dylan's a great guide, has a sense of humor, knows the island, and let us control our music when we asked. Oh - and we saw dolphins pretty much the entire time. The vibe is gonna be what you and the other guests make of it. If your boat wants to sit and sip on some beers and enjoy the view then go for it. If your boat wants to have a party in the middle of the bay then go for it. Ours was a bit more option A until our music friend put on Tusa and that cued up option B for the rest of the trip. Whatever you do, always be sure to be respectful of the captain and other guests! Know before you go: the boat probably holds about 20 under normal operation. It's covered, has cup holders and benches. There's a bathroom on the boat. Speakers are on the boat. Our captain had Spotify hooked up to speakers. BYOB. Bring a cooler. You will see plenty of dolphins. Captains work for tips, bring cash. We had an absolute blast and would definitely book this again.
