Tour guide was friendly. He drove us to the location. I really enjoyed the Parma cheese demonstration and the samples. We also were able to purchase some cheese and some olive oil. The Parma ham tour was good. It was a learning experience, but I did not care for the ham. Other members in my family did like it. How about you! I suggested to the tour guide to bring his cheese and the Parmigiano name to the United States. The cheese was so good!

The tour was excellent! Mattia’s explanation of the process for both the Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto de Parma were great. We were able to watch the cheesemakers at work making wheels of Parmigiano and then visit the aging room and sample the cheese. Although they were not making Prosciutto at our visit, each step of the process was explained at the factory and we were able to see the hams aging at different stages in several rooms from a couple days old to 12 plus months. Generous samples with Modena vinegar at the end. We took the train from Bologna to Parma and were picked up close to train station. Driver was very friendly and also knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour!

The Tour with Lawrence was a wonderful, enlightening, and very enjoyable day. Knowledgeable, personable, with the ability to make things fun, yet still learning a lot about what you are there for. Give him a “10”, on a scale of 5.

A great way to understand how Parmigiano Reggiani cheese and Parma ham are made. Definitely worth it. Sergio was in time and very knowledgeable. A good way to see the country side. Plenty of good to taste too.

The cheese factory tour was very interesting…and such wonderful Parmigiano-Reggianno cheese! The Parma ham tour was also good! We learned a lot and had some delicious Parma ham as well. And wine was served at both locations! Sergio was a great guide! He shared a lot of local information and answered all of our questions.

We had a fantastic day touring Parmigiano Reggiano and Parma Ham factories. Amazing to see the process in the flesh, and sample the goods. Great commentary from the guides also. We even had snow at the Parma Ham factories in April. Highly recommend.

Small group tour with a comfortable vehicle. The parmigiano and ham factories were both interesting to visit and the tasting portions were very generous.

What a tour. Start to finish that was first class. From the pick up to the parmigiano and prosciutto we had first class service and priority over any larger groups. Our guide Mattias(?) was an absolute beauty. Very knowledgable and extremely funny. The portion sizes were plenty and the people were all great. Highly recommend.

These artisan products are traditional attributes of Italy's cuisine. The products can be found in their place of origin; they are exported around the world. Sometimes they are imitated, but they are rarely matched, if ever. Parmigiano Reggiano cheese is aged and matured, until it becomes aged and firm. Parma prosciutto ham is said to be the best ham in the globe. Parmigiano and prosciutto can be sampled, it's a way to taste the among the best Italy has to offer.

The first stop of the tour, the Parmigiana Reggiano production facility, was absolutely incredible. It was so cool to see the entire process from start to finish, watching in real-time as the master cheese makers went through each step. The prosciutto di Parma was less exciting; it may have been because we were there on a Sunday so the place was empty, but it was mostly a walkthrough looking at what the ham looks like at different ages. It was still a good experience, just not nearly as great as the parmigiana experience.

I had the most amazing experience exploring the world of Parma ham and Parma cheese with our knowledgeable and passionate tour guide Loris Lestini. His expertise and enthusiasm brought the rich history and intricate processes of these delicacies to life. Not only did we taste some of the finest products, but we also gained a deep understanding of the traditions and craftsmanship behind them. A truly unforgettable journey that I highly recommend to anyone looking to delve into the heart of Italian culinary excellence.

Great guide. Very informative. Visited on a Saturday so the prosciutto processor was not very active but the cheese stop more than made up for it. If possible, I’d recommend visiting on a week day but even go if you can only do it on the weekend.
