Incredible experience and day tour in Trieste with our tour guide Dean. Day started out with a trip to Miramare castle where Dean gave us a concise history of Emperor Maximilian and his life and the overall history of Trieste. After we went to the castle of San Giusto to see some of the city’s highlights we realized we had some time left over, we asked Dean if we could fit in a trip to Koper, Slovenia. He said absolutely and a short trip to Koper turned into a beautiful journey along the Slovenian coastline. We saw Piran, Koper, Isola, and several other small coastal Slovenian cities. The point is , Dean and Koper Trips are an excellent team that is willing to accommodate its customers. With Trieste as your base, you can see the city, Slovenia, and more with this company. I can’t recommend them enough! We will be back to tour with them again. Thank you for your hospitality, Dean 5/5 stars!

Only visited the Castello di Miramare grounds and can highly recommend!! The Castello is located on a stunning promontory with views over the Gulf of Trieste. The extensive grounds are well kept and beautiful. When we visited there was plenty of parking available in the nearby car parks with a short walk up a stairway to the grounds. There is a cafe with toilet facilities in the grounds for coffee breaks.

We had booked this tour after our cruise line changed our itinerary to include a stop in Trieste. The morning of the tour our guide, awesome guy named Matt, said he had another family book a tour of Kopor, Slovenia (just a short 30 minutes away) and his boss asked to combine it. So, Matt talked with all of us, this included me, my wife and 22 year old daughter, and a mom and her two 20’s daughters. He came up with a spontaneous way to create a tour to include most of each. Not what we had planned but turned out to be a lovely adventure that included seeing the castle, an beautiful church on the mountain, and a trip through Slovenia and lunch in a little village in Croatia! Three countries in a day! Matt rocks, and our tour mates we so wonderful! Made for a great day!

In order to accommodate some folks on another excursion, our tour guide opted to change the order of our excursion. We had a delightful morning touring the countryside with a delicious and unplanned seafood lunch. However, we went to the castle in the afternoon and the traffic getting to the castle was horrific; we were unable to visit the castle. Since this was a large part of the excursion, we were very disappointed.

Our guide was so knowledgeable and helpful and understanding. He knew that we were not able to do a walking tour of the castle grounds and arranged a driving tour for us. Will definitely use him when we come back!!

The castle and associated garden with panoramic views of the sea was beautiful and well worth the trip. Our guide was informative and we learned a lot of history.

It was good - the castle has breathtaking views and is simply beautiful. If you are in Trieste you have to see it. Other than that our tour guide thought driving around Trieste wasn't worth our time - so instead we went to this town on the way back to Trieste which is a resort town with yachts - not too sure what we were meant to get out of that? Pick up and drop off was on time.

Miramare Castle Just off the coast road is seaside Miramare Castle a site well worth seeing. You can easily spend 40 minutes touring the inside and as much time as you like on the magnificent grounds. Easy access and splendid for families! Helpful hint: Try to park on the approach drive - it’s free! Then walk to the castle on the seaside sidewalk. Look over the seawall, on any sunny day, and see the most beautiful sunbathing bikini-bodies Trieste has to offer. I enjoyed this as much as the castle!

Meri was excellent and really personalized the tour once she knew I was interested in Roman history. The Miramare Castle was definitely worth the tour by itself. I would do this tour again and I really think Meri made it special.

Città da vedere assolutamente, vivibile, acccogliente facile da visitare e così diversa da alctre città di mare!!

Con il battello partendo da Trieste si può raggiungere il castello di Miramare, non male come idea il tempo ancora caldo ha permesso di goderci la stupenda vista del molo di Trieste e del castello che resta sicuramente un'esperienza da fare, per chi vuole capire la storia D'Italia
