We experienced an outstanding trip to Arouca 516 and the Paiva Walkaways thanks to Teresa and her excellent skills to lead and motivate a group. Everything was very well organized (pick up / driving / meeting points during the walk / information /lunch). Crossing the bridge is a real experience and 100 % worth doing it. The walk along the river is beautiful (except some steps :-) and we really enjoyed it and learned a lot about fauna and history. Late lunch at a nearby restaurant was excellent (the wine as well). We were a group of 7 (8) (representing 4 (5) nations) which is the perfect size for such an adventure.

This was an excellent excursion. Our guides Teresa and João were fantastic! They were so friendly, shared interesting facts about the area, and were very entertaining. The excursion was well organised with pick up and drop off, the walkway was accessible for inexperienced hikers, the scenery was beautiful and the lunch afterwards was delicious.

Good fun in an amazing natural area not too far from Porto, on the first sunny day after a spell of rain in the area. I'm a hiker and I have a car but it was easier, in this case, not to have to make all the arrangements myself and be guided by three enthusiastic and knowledgeable young men, Mouro, Tiago and Renato. The lunch afterward was superb, a big meal of local cuisine and we had a nice group so it was a lovely, sociable, energizing day.

Anton was great company. The walk is a good work out, the 516 m bridge pretty anmazing and the lunch was top class. Most of the team snoozed on the way back!

Efficient service collecting us from a nearby point. Comfortable and clean accommodation with knowledgeable tour guide. Plenty of time to experience the walkway and learn about the region. Wonderful company and treats along the way. Highly recommended

A rainy day was forecast but I decided to go anyway. Turned out to be great, the views were amazing and the river was raging which exciting. Couldn’t do the suspension bridge due to the wind, but the wonderful guide tired a couple of different times, he really went above and beyond. Delicious lunch - a really fun day

Our first day in Portugal was fabulous with a private tour to Arouca bridge & Paiva walkways. Our tour guide, Miriam was excellent, a friend for sure, and super accommodating for our small group of 3 sisters, with varying abilities. Punctual, full of tips for the rest of our travels, lunch was great (a special beef & chino verde was a surprise) and also a quality & delicious vegetarian meal. Communication with company was great & timely responsive with reminders & preparation tips. There are walkways options to accommodate differing desires & abilities. Highly recommend Detours & Miriam.

Gem of an experience while visiting Porto. Was a highlight of our trip thanks to the amazing hospitality of our guides Marco and Tiego.. Beauty and peaceful followed bt fabulous lunch and treated like friends

Andre was a brilliant guide and the communication from the company is excellent. The tour itself is very good with plenty to see - mind you, we did the 500+ steps down and i wouldn't want to do the walk in the other direction! Lunch was a slap up feast and basically like eating 2 whole meals so come hungry. Really recommend.

Ana is such a lovely person and made this trip with a lot of informations, tipps and knowledge so impressive additionelle to the amazing landscape. Such a nice place on earth. And even she had an eye on each of us any time to make it comfortable for us. No problem for her to switch in different languages and to explaine for all to understand. Susanna was amazing and very informative, we had a lovely time on the tour and would recommend it to anyone. Some parts are quite physical, but you get plenty of breaks. Really good value for money and the lunch is incredible.

This was a perfect trip! Outstanding views and nice walk with a delicious meal at the end of the journey. Moreover Andrè was a really good guide! Suggested!!!
