Had an amazing experience coming here, the staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating and are obviously very passionate about the process and are happy to talk about it. Popcorn was offered part way through and we were walked through the whole process, the staff are very patient and excellent with kids. Our host was wonderful and very entertaining, overall couldn't ask for a better trip.

We stumbled across this place on a Google search on things to do. We participated as a family of 2 adults and 2 children and it was a fun family activity. We each got to pick a door and miniature figure to paint. The children were given two big bowls of popcorn while painting. It's a great experience and well worth a visit

Lots of fun seeing how the figurines were made and the quiet painting time was a nice change for me after lots of running around sightseeing.

It was a lovely day that we spend at the toy soldier factory. Me and my wife were on honeymoon in Ireland when we heard about this lovely place. We both took a painting workshop and painted up some miniatures (were bat for me, Leprechaun for her). We loved it! It is a great afternoon spend for young and old.

What a lovely afternoon we spent in the toy factory we had a wonderful lady Helen helping us she couldn't do enough for us. What a fantastic lady to have working there so friendly remembering kids names ect. She provided pop corn while we were painting. A great hit with the kids. No rushing us out. As it was quite. Definitely recommend for kids 6 or 7 up. Unless an adult helped with painting.

Made an online booking for 3 adults and 3 children, age 7, 8, 10. We were here for my moms birthday 4 years ago, she wanted her grandchildren to make something on her birthday so we surprised her with a return visit and we had the best day. Eileen was so lovely to us 4 years ago and Marie was equally as kind and welcoming to us this time. She was so kind and attentive, a really lovely lady. The children chose between fairy doors and little figurines and they loved painting them. Due to Covid, we have not taken our children to any indoor places/activities so this was our first indoor experience and it was so safe and well spaced out with social distancing. For anyone thinking of a nice family afternoon, this place is perfect and you take home your beautiful souvenirs that you painted. We will be back. Thank you so much for making my moms birthday so special.

We had a family group of three kids and three adults and they could accommodate with next day booking via website. Had a little demo of pouring moulds and painting miniatures. If you have smaller kids try painting the wooden fairy doors.

Visited the toy soldier factory with 2 young children. The staff were really helpful showing the children how the models were made and then giving instructions on how to complete the painting. The children are now hooked having bought some model moulds to make at home. It was extremely interesting and very different to what they would normally do on a day out. Enjoyed by all and we will definitely return when we’re in the area again.

Great day out for kids and adults. We all had a great day out. Our kids 8 and 7 are now hooked on model making. A lovely hobby for them both.

My husband and I and our two boys spent a very enjoyable afternoon making and painting models and viewing the Waterloo exhibit. We all loved it and even bought some kits to bring some of the fun home. Couldn't recommend it highly enough for people of all ages.

We saw the signs and stopped in on a whim. After driving for a while on tiny backgrounds, we pulled in and my husband says, “I know this place!” If you’re into miniature soldiers, war gaming, etc. then you’ll love this place. We were able to make our own leprechaun miniatures, including assembling the molds, pouring the metal, and painting them. Mine is hideous, but I’m a terrible painter. So we left with two Irish souvenirs that we made with our own hands to commemorate an experience on our trip, Better than some imported googah any day. If you can’t stand to look at your monstrosity. You can also purchase a nice version created by the painters there.

We visited with my children aged 10 and 7. Both made and painted a small item for €12 each. There is the option to paint a pre cast item for less. My daughter chose a cat and my son opted for a skull. The lady who showed us what to do was very patient and explained in detail what they needed to do. We also paid €3 each (children free) to see the temporary Battle of Waterloo exhibition which was incredible! We all really enjoyed ourselves and the children were delighted with what they made. If I lived nearby I would definitely avail of the option to do a children’s party. The shop is also well stocked and we spent a small fortune on bits and pieces. All in all a really nice morning!

An interesting & different little place, worth a quick visit if passing. I really think the staff should advise on the price of the models the children choose as I got quite a land when I was charged €34 for the werebat & baby bunny, seriously !!! For this reason I certainly would not return, found this to be a bit of a rip off to be honest..

Visited without making a booking and got to do a make and paint session. The kids got to choose their mould from a set of about 20 and after making their cast from molten metal, they painted them to their own designs. Great day out and open 7 days a week which is great.
