My son came to do his PADI Junior Open Water on Feb 2024 and was taught by Emma. As a former instructor I think I am a bit more fussy... but Emma was great with my son and took him through the course... and his first qualified dives he looked confident in the water. A testament in itself to Emma's teaching and approach with children. Would highly recommended

I had an exceptional experience with Emma and Steve's dive company in Hurghada! Prior to flying out to Egypt I did my research and it was clear that Dive UK Hurghada was the best option for me based on previous reviews. It's ultimately your life in their hands so a decision you cannot take lightly. Pre-arrival, I had emails and WhatsApp's with Steve Povey the owner of Dive UK Hurghada discussing what I needed to do in advance. He also can make the trip even easier and organise accommodation and transfers. Everything was designed to take the stress away and concentrate on the diving. Post-arrival, I was picked up outside a local hotel and greeted by his colleague and fellow instructor Emma with a big smile and ready for me to take diving by storm! Over the next few days I was taken through all the practical skills I needed to pass the PADI Open Water course based on my e-learning. One thing to note is that the PADI e-learning is extensive and will take several weeks as a bare minimum if doing this in evenings etc after work. Don't think you can do this, and take this in, in a day or two. After all it is all about saving your life so essential stuff. Emma was incredibly supportive throughout the whole course and wanted more than anything for me to pass. I can certainly admit to finding the practical aspect rather difficult and she persevered and worked on the aspects I struggled with. Emma has a 100% pass record and I didn't want to be the first person to let her down! She worked very hard and am delighted to say I passed. I entirely attribute this down to Emma's instruction - without her support, empathy, and dedication I don't think I would have passed. Within hours of passing my course I had already booked my flights back to Hurghada in January and booked my Advanced Open Water with Steve so I can continue my learning and reinforce my existing Open Water skills with Emma again as my instructor. I've already told Steve since completing the Open Water course that I am so impressed with the tuition it is only Emma I will be taught by going forward. Her integrity, kindness, and hard work are second to none and strongly recommend her, as well as Steve, at Dive UK Hurghada. Their enthusiasm for Scuba diving is infectious and you can guarantee that you will find a new love at the end of your course. I can't recommend them highly enough as well as thanking them for everything.

My partner booked our open water padi course and a few dives with dive uk Hurghada and even with a broken rib it was an amazing experience. I had only ever done a trial dive before and I got taught everything. Had amazing holiday and dives and we are planning to book our holiday next year in Egypt and more dives with Steve. I had it in my head that I needed to SCUBA dive in Egypt; I'm not sure where this came from, but it happened. I was told I HAD to go to Hurghada and any hotel would have a dive center. TripAdvisor research led me to Dive UK. At first the price seemed a bit steep, but I chose because I figured language would not be a barrier. That "steep price" was all I paid unlike the rest of Egypt where they get you with that dirt cheap price then tag on extras along the way. Steve had me pay through Wise before I arrived and that was the only time I had to open my wallet! Once I arrived, I met Wassam who was an EXCELLENT instructor. The anxiety/claustrophobia hit while sitting on the bottom of the sea, but Wassam helped ease that quickly. Wassam was patient with the instruction, underwater he had a keen eye for pointing out all the hidden critters, and provided excellent company while up on shore!

After extensive research, we chose Dive UK Hurghada for our Open Water PADI course at the recommendation of a friend who is an experienced diver, and we are incredibly glad we did as we had the best experience ever! We were lucky to have Wessam as our instructor for the first two days, his comprehensive briefings and fun approach to teaching made the learning process smooth and enjoyable. A skilled and patient professional, Wessam was able to calm my nerves when I was stressed underwater and made me feel safe at all times, while putting a smile on my face with his fantastic humour. We enjoyed our final dive of the course with Steve, who is extremely knowledgeable and helped us to refine our skills further. Apart from being a great instructor, Steve went above and beyond to take nice photos of us during the dive, organise transfers, give restaurant recommendations and tour guide referrals for Cairo. He is a exceptional host and his passion truly shines through. I can’t recommend Steve and his crew enough and we will certainly be booking with Dive UK Hurghada again!

Just completed the Padi Open Water course with Dive Uk Hurghada, cannot recommend these guys enough. Wessam is an awesome instructor. No risk approach to instructing, very knowledgable and made the whole process very enjoyable from start to finish. Steve runs a tight ship. He know his customers and his instructors really well, anyone considering a dive centre is in safe hands. Super happy, will certainly be diving with these guys again 👌🏼

We are so delighted to have booked my 10 year old daughter's PADI open water course through Dive UK Hurghada. One of the reasons for booking through a UK based company was to ensure a stringent attitude to safety and Steve ensured that this was most definitely the case. Steve also insists on small class sizes and ensures that all of his instructors speak excellent English. Which meant that my daughter loved the course. But what was most impressive was Steve's willingness to go out of was way to look after the people on this course. The proof is in the pudding - my daughter wishes to return to dive with Steve and we are definitely planning to book our son onto an open water course next year. We would strongly encourage any families planning to book their children (or themselves!) onto a PADI diving course to think about booking through Dive UK Hurghada.

Great experience! We were lucky to do our course with Dive UK. The instructors are great. We learned from Magot, Steve, and Emma, and all of them were very patient with us, adapted to our needs, and made us feel very safe. They definitely made the journey very easy and enjoyable. I would 100% recommend the course. Furthermore, after being certified we made two fun dives and it was awesome. Emma and Wassim were our divemasters and they are not only great divers but also great people who explained to us many things about the area we were diving in and gave us many useful pieces of advice to improve. Also, it is worth mentioning that Hurghada is a great place to dive, we were very impressed with what we saw and we definitely will go back as soon as we can.

TBH We couldn't fault Steve and his team. It was easy to book with him from the uk and from the moment we met him with our teen kids, we felt we were in great safe hands. My son who is 13 completed his PADI open water diver qualification by doing his 4 open water dives. We then decided to book both a fun dive and also hire a private speed boat to ensure swimming with the dolphins in the ocean. We were not disappointed and actually got to do it a few times on the same boat trip. Steve's team are equally as lovely and my son felt very at ease with Emma and Maggot who helped him dive too. We are planning to return in October to do more fun dives. I highly recommend booking with Steve, you will not be disappointed.

My son has started his PADI in the U.K. but as it’s so cold we went to Egypt for him to compete his open after dives I found Dive U.K. online and emailed Steve who said we could complete the open water dives with him, I had a good feeling from the emails and communication with Steve so we booked My son is only 15 so I needed to make sure that he was going to be safe Steve, Emma,magot and Wasem were fantastic very professional and knowledgeable my son competed his open water dives and passed his PADI he did have a bit of a problem with his ears but every one was very patient took him down slowly and he had the best experience Once his PADI was complete He went out and did a fun dive with Emma and Wasem, he had problems with his ears clearing them on the deeper dives but both Emma and Wasem went above and beyond to help him and he did two fantastic dives that day My son did another fun dive a couple of days later with Wasem no problems with his ears and had an amazing time they were very lucky to be under when a pod of Dolphins swam right by them. I can not thank Steve and the team enough for giving my son such an amazing experience and we will be back in October to do some more diving

I completed my open water diving course with Dive UK Hurghada. I was able to do all of my e-learning back home which left time to explore the city and relax at the beach after diving in the morning. This was my first time ever diving and I have fallen in love with it. The course was completed in very small groups which made me feel very relaxed. Maged was our instructor for the first 2 days and he made me feel very relaxed about all of the skills and explained everything with great detail. We then went out with Steve for our final day of the course and, just like Maged, he was very relaxed and made me feel very safe being in open water. I would 100% recommend booking with Steve for anyone considering doing their open water course. Because we loved the course so much we then went on a day trip where we had Emma as our dive master. Emma was great in striking the perfect balance between being great fun to dive with but also making us feel safe. My expectations for this trip were so high and the Dive UK Hurghada helped to exceed them beyond what I could imagine. Thank you team for everything- we will be back very soon!

I have been coming to Hurghada for many years Scuba Diving, I have used many different Dive Centres but after being recommended Dive UK I don't need to go to any others now. I can really see why everybody is talking about them in the UK. Such a professional company, very easy to deal with, no added costs. Steve cannot do enough to help you and really goes above and beyond. Yes they are a little more expensive but totally worth it and you cannot put a price on safety. As a single lady traveller I have never felt safer. You can really see why they are doing so well and I have just signed up to go to Mexico with them next year. Thanks so much Steve

I completed my PADI Open Water and PADI Advanced Open Water course which was an amazing experience. He helped with my anxiety as I had to finish my PADI Open Water course without my partner and everything was very clear and simple so I didn't have to worry. Steve helped me to find the confidence to do my PADI Advanced Course. As well as making everything really safe he was also very fun and made diving very enjoyable. Me and my friend travelled to Egypt in September, having already booked an open water course and an advanced course with dive UK Hurghada. We were in frequent contact with Steve, which was beneficial prior to our arrival. The open water course was brilliant, and has taught us all of the skills required to be able to be safe in the water and still be able to enjoy the beautiful sea life that lives here in Hurghada. The advanced course has enabled me to dive safely up to 30m, and grow my skills from the open water course. I recommend Steve to anyone visiting Hurghada for diving! :)

Me and my friend booked onto the PADI Open Water Course prior to arrival in Hurghada. Steve arranged everything and we had very good communication from him. He even helped us out getting some medication when we didn’t feel so well. The course was super fun and there was a big emphasis on safety which we liked. All the equipment was brand new. We felt very looked after and I know we would not of had this with anybody else. He gives really good advise and he explains all in great details. We even got all the photos for free when others charge for them. We were so impressed with the teaching standards we decided to also complete the PADI Advanced Course. We have just had the best time ever and I can totally recommend Steve to anybody. If you want to learn to Scuba Dive, learn a new skill or do a PADI Course then look no further. Dive UK Hurghada is the best. I would also like to say Steve’s other team members are great to with the same high standards.

I originally chose Steve to do my PADI open water course as he came highly recommended and I'm so glad I did! From the start he answered ally questions and got me set up with the training, and even messaged me throughout to check how I was getting on. The course was explained very clearly and I immediately felt at ease with Steve. I had so much fun and was feeling so confident thanks to Steve's teaching that I decided to do my advanced open water and wreck diving course. Steve explained everything really well throughout the course and even helped me with tips to enjoy my time in hurghada, I will definitely be back next year to see more dive sights hurghada offers and do more specialty training with Steve
