Beyond memorable. Plenty of places to eat before and after the performance. Fantastic views of the harbour and seriously, you can't come to Sydney without going to a performance at the Opera or Concert halls.

Our Australian/New Zealand cruise started & ended in Sydney. We knew we couldn’t leave without seeing & experiencing an opera. La Traviata was playing. The cast was amazing, supported by the Opera Australia Orchestra & Chorus & performed in the majestic Sydney opera house. We were not disappointed!!!

A wonderful way to end our adventure! The opera was fantastic. The Opera House is an engineering masterpiece. The people are warm and helpful. I hope to return someday.

The theme about enduring love is timeless but Violeta’s illness should be changed from tuberculosis to something else. Why? TB is contagious and if she did have active infectious process, it could have been very unfortunate for the others around her to be infected. Cancer of the cervix should have been more appropriate since she is a courtesan and that their promiscuous lifestyle during that era cannot be ignored.

Amazing performance of a Mozart Classic Opera "The Magic Flute!" The Sudbey Opera Orchesta was masterful. The lead singers were talented and accomplished. Of course, the Sidney Opera House is spectacular, not only the Joan Sutherland Theater where the Opera took place but the entire complex is breath-taking! A truly marvelous experience!

A wonderful performance and a wonderful facility! We sat in the very last row and we were as happy as can be. I haven't been to the opera since I was a kid in Chicago. We were so pleased with the talent as well as the clever staging. In addition, the staff was very attentive and pleasant, which made the experience quite memorable. Thank you so much!

sound is the best we've ever heard anywhere, sit anywhere in the space, amazing that there is seating all around the stage. Gorgeous, memorable building and concert hall. Local Sydney concert leader and group is top notch, world class.

Magic Flute was a great performance with an updated English translation with a modern slant. Very enjoyable. One of the most enjoyable productions of the Magic Flute that I have seen.

We enjoyed our time at the magnificent Sydney Opera House! The seats were good and we could see and read the words perfectly. Wish we would have seen a better opera but we had limited days.

It was a great night of opera, but a bit confusing as we had no idea what to expect or how things worked. We asked a lot of questions of several people in uniform, most also did not know where we were to go. There are several theaters in the complex. We didn’t realize that we were seeing a full opera. We thought the tickets were for some other “sampler” type show and a chance to see the inside of the theater. We ended up seeing Indomeneo, and thinking they put us in the wrong theater… All good, just that it would have been better to explain that the tickets get you into an open seat at a full opera performance on that evening.

Opera Australia excelled again at the performance of Idomeneo. An amazing production that conveyed the power and emotion of the Ocean with appropriate video effects. This opera also explored the emotional response when the sacrifice of an Innocent Son is required to placate the Greek Gods. Brilliant performance by both the Opera Chorus and the Soloists.

What a beautiful place. We had great seats just five rows off center stage. Thanks Viator. Mozart tells a story of darkness and light.

The Opera House is, without question, the most extraordinary venue in the world to view a live performance. The performance of “The Magic Flute” was excellent.

A lovely meal at the Overture Restaurant followed by a great performance of La Traviata! The seats were fabulous and the acoustics perfectly matched.

So far 2 awesome performances. La Traviata and Orpheus and Eurydice Amazing performers, incredible production,interpretation by directors surpurb. Costumes, sets, just everything we highly recommend. We have been opera Australia subscribers for many years, A must see either or both
