We thoroughly enjoyed the experience at St Andrew’s Scottish Church in Rome. The acoustics were incredible and the experience intimate. Highly recommended. The venue was easy to find. Kim (Australia). 27.10.2023.

It was a fantastic experience with great singers and piano player. The artists are outstanding and the atmosphere is great! We were sceptical if our kids 8 and 10 would enjoy it but they were watching and listening with open eyes and mouth (-; The only thing I don’t understand is - why is such an event not fully booked out for next twelve months? One of the best experiences in rom - thank you !!

A delightful evening! Perfect way to spend our last evening in Rome. You don’t need to be an opera fan to enjoy this to the full.

Sublime evening of opera from amazing performers. Set in an intimate church so you are up close to the performers. Both the sopranno and the tenor were exceptional and the pianist was incredible. Some of the arias brought me to tears. They were performed with such emotion and the quality was astounding. I thoroughly recommend this to anyone visiting Rome. A totally affordable way to experience opera.

Wow, what an experience. Not something we would usually attend but it was recommended to us by my cousin and as we were staying close by near Piazza Barberini, we thought 'it's only an hour, why not?' We weren't disappointed. Even though we're not opera goers, one couldn't fail to be impressed by the voices of the singers and the skill of the accompanying pianist. Set in the chapel of an old church, the acoustics allowed the music to soar effortlessly and sweep the audience up. Do try and go if you're ever staying in Rome.

A wonderful evening to enjoy beautiful voices singing opera. We were surprised how many songs we knew not being opera experts. Intimate setting, engaging, and emotionally charged. Highly recommend adding this to your Rome visit!

All the familiar Italian pieces in a small church that made us feel like being at a privately organized music event. Music was excellent, yet performers were humorous and friendly throughout..

Last night’s opera concert, featuring a pianist, a soprano singer, and a tenor singer, was a testament to the beauty that can be achieved with a minimalist ensemble. The pianist, who also served as the director, skillfully led the performance with a delicate touch, providing a rich and nuanced accompaniment to the singers. The soprano singer’s voice was nothing short of ethereal, soaring effortlessly through the opera’s demanding arias and delivering a performance that sent shivers down the spine. Her emotional depth and exquisite control were truly awe-inspiring. Equally impressive was the tenor singer, whose passionate and powerful vocals added a perfect counterpoint to the soprano’s grace. Their duets were the highlight of the evening, evoking a range of emotions from the audience. The simplicity of this trio format allowed the audience to focus entirely on the voices and the pianist’s artistry. It was a night of operatic purity, where the chemistry between the performers and their undeniable talent created an unforgettable and intimate experience. This concert proved that sometimes less is more, and in this case, it was pure musical magic.

It was the highlight of my visit to rome. I didnt expect it to be this buetiful they are very talented. when you listen to them between the walls of the church with only few people that share your same interests it's much more buetiful. The opera singers and the pianist were very very nice not only they mastered the show they also were extremely welcoming and entertaining. At the end of the event they celebrated with us opening a bottle of wine with a nice snake I didnt expect it. I think if youre travelling solo and love music or a couple this is an amazing event for you.

The acoustics in St Andrew’s was bright yet carried the lower register of both the tenor and soprano. The voices carried well from both the front, and when required from the rear of the church. It is a very intimate venue. The repertoire included some ‘tough’ pieces that will impress as well as some very recognisable solo and duets. I was carried away by a few of the piano pieces, a couple of I had never bothered with before and laughed, clapped and shouted bravo at the end. What else is needed at a live music event? The acting was superb, especially when it is executed so close to the audience. I recommend the (slightly) higher price tickets as you can the sit in the first four pews. Yes, they are comfortable pews. The musicians were very generous with their time. Photos and video were allowed. Impress your friends with how cultured you are. 🙂 I smiled a lot, almost cried once and the soprano at one point had me a little frightened. A perfect night out.

It was a nice small concert. The tenor Alessandro Fantini has such a beautiful and impressive voice! The singing of the soprano Monica Cucca was also lovely. It was unfortunate that they had a substitute pianist, and the solo piano pieces were mediocre. Otherwise, it would have been a perfect evening show for our family.
