A great day trip from Oaxaca city. Loved that we had 3hrs at the waterfall to enjoy the hike and swimming in the pools. Our guide was so lovely and very knowledgeable. The mezcal experience was interesting and tasty!

Stephanie is the greatest guide! Gave us a very detailed overview of the bakery we stopped at, Hierve el Agua, and the mezcaleria. After the trip, she gave us a list of recommendations for mezcal bars, restaurants, and things to do in Oaxaca. The vibe in the van during trips was amazing with Stephanie asking us what music should be played. Definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Oaxaca.

We had a fantastic day. The drive was beautiful and not too long with a stop at the bakery on the way. Fany was very informative and pointed out some highlights along the way. I can’t say enough great things about Hierve el Agua. Definitely a must see! It was nice to have 3 hours to explore on our own. The mezcal distillery stop on the way back was also memorable.

Very nice and funny guide. Well organized and prepared. Plenty of time to enjoy the hike. Didn’t feel rushed/forced at all. Felt safe as a solo traveler.

The tour was perfectly paced and didn’t overstuff the stops. Margarita was a joy of a tour guide, and the entire group had an excellent time together. I’d recommend this to anyone coming to Oaxaca!

We loved the tour. Stephanie was wonderful with her well rounded knowledge of the history and culture. Her instructions were point on and she was entertaining and funny. We enjoyed the pools and the food. As well as the bread and Mezcal tasting. Will definitely recommend it to everyone.

A terrific trip! Our guide, Fany, was so helpful and enthusiastic…she really set the tone of congenially and helped us get to know each other as well as giving us great insight into the geological background as well as the making of Mezcal. With the hike, the 3 hours goes fast.

Swimming in the pools, the falls, the views. It was very well organized and Stephanie aka Fanny was an amazing guide, Carlos was also a very good driver. We left on time, the pick up place was easy to find with clean restrooms and a coffee shop. Great group of travellers from all over the world. The mezcal distillery was also very interesting.

Great tour guide, honestly. Margarita was personable. friendly, and full of fun and interesting facts about Oaxaca and the site. The itinerary was well structured and it never felt as though you were on a tour with a million people, all on top of each other. The bakery was lovely, and getting to taste the different traditional breads added a friendly touch - really, it is just good business. Hierve el agua speaks for itself. You would be silly to visit Oaxaca and not visit the site. The cold pools were exactly what we needed after our 1 hour hike on that sweltering hot day! The views are spectacular and the petrified waterfalls are a beauty. I am not a mezcal fan, but I enjoyed learning about the production process. The traditional oaxaqueno ice cream was exactly what we need to end the tour - tuna fruit (prickly pear) and mango with chilli were my favourite flavours. I would recommend this tour.

The tour was perfect! We had a wonderfull time, met nice people and had a lovely time discovering the panaderia, swiming and hicking at hierve al agua, and doing the mezcal tasting. The hike at hierve al agua is definetely worth it. It’s very short (about 1 hour), and quite easy, and the view is stunning. I suggest you do it before swimming, to refresh after the walk under the hot sun. Definetely recommand!

We had an amazing time on our trip to Hierve Al Agua. From start to finish the trip was fantastic. Our guide shared tons of information about the surrounding areas, culture, and food. The hike was hard, made more difficult by heat, but very beautiful. Bring lots of water and you will be ok! The pools were refreshing after a hot hike. The bathrooms cost $5 pesos so bring coins/small bills. The mezcal tasting was fun and informative. Overall, this was a highlight from our trip and I could not recommend it any higher!

Tour was great, didn’t feel rushed. Margarita was our tour guide and very informative, fun and friendly. Only locals are allowed to do tour guides at the waterfalls so Margarita couldn’t come round with us but it was Nice to do our own thing independently when there.

The trip was full on and spectacular. A few tips to make it even better - 1) miss out the bread stop 2) warn people that the trek down to see the waterfall is very difficult, particularly in the searing hit. It is not for the feint hearted. Take plenty of drinking water as there is no refreshment until you get back up to the car park. The mezcal tour was really professional and informative 😀

We had a great time on this trip and our guide Margarita was wonderful! We went on an extremely hot day and I would just caution folks who want to do the full hike, that it's rather steep at the end. I went with my father who is older and he had some difficulty on the back part of the trail. All that said, it was absolutely beautiful and a great way to see the countryside. The mezcal tour was a perfect ending and not too long. I don't normally do group tours when I travel but the group was great and I would recommend this to others.
