We learned about life in Gettysburg before, during and after the battle, our guide Jerry was very personable and welcoming and we highly recommend a tour as part of a Gettysburg experience.

Kurt was an excellent guide for our walking tour of downtown Gettysburg. I have visited Gettysburg many times in my life but have never taken a downtown tour. If you’ve toured the battlefields, this is definitely worthwhile. Throughout the downtown area, Kurt told the stories of individual residents who stepped up with heroic actions as they were caught in the middle of this battle. This tour gave me a whole new perspective on the battle and those involved.

Guide Jerry LaRussa is endless source of fascinating anecdotes about the lives of Gettysburg citizens caught in the middle of the battle. He was the most interesting tour guide I have ever experienced and would recommend him Remely highly to anyone.

We were not sure what to expect on a cold and very windy day. Roseanne was revved up and so animated to tell us all kinds of interesting history around the town of Gettysburg, I don’t think she even thought about how freezing cold it was. My husband was loving all of the little known facts and absorbed it all, I did my best but a little too chilly for me to focus.-;). Definitely worth it and we will be back in warmer months!

First, thank you to Rob who corrected some garbled ticketing issues that caused us to miss our tour on Friday. A couple of clarifying texts and he was able to get us another tour on our next preferred day Sunday. Our guide, Terry, was ready and waiting when we arrived. He took us on a short route around the town. He introduced us to many interesting events and locations that we’d been unaware of previously. Thanks to Terry we gained a greater understanding of Gettysburg beyond what we’d seen on the battlefield. Well worth your time!

When we told him we were visiting Gettysburg College, he made it a point to emphasize activities by Pennsylvania College students during the battle and subsequently. I enthusiastically recommend Mr Dayhoff for a superb overview of the town of Gettysburg
