An amazing experience. Can't fault the tour, very informative guide who didn't stop. It's a big day from Istanbul and back but comfortable enough with a couple rest stops, a decent lunch and a good few hours out at Gallopoli. A must do for ANZ's.

Well organised and very informative. Tour leader had lots of stories and shared information. Burak was our tour leader and he was amazing. One of the best tours I have been on. My husband loved the stories and facts about Gallipoli

Really enjoyed our day. Traveled from Istanbul. Had a stop for breakfast and toilet around 930, then onto lunch. After lunch we met up with our tour guide Hasan who was brilliant. A very emotional day. We spent about 4 hours seeing the sights. Then headed back to Istanbul with a stop for dinner and toilet part way home. I would recommend slightly shorter breaks, including lunch to get to Gallipoli earlier and maybe have a little more time there. Overall would definitely recommend.

The Good: On time pick up from our hotel. Visited most of the significant historical sites of interest. The NOT so good: The provided lunch. The biased commentary of the tour guide (very pro Turkey) Tour guide spent too long talking about each site (see previous comment) and then only allowed minimal time for visitors to explore and reflect, take photos, visit memorials, grave sites etc. (group was mostly Aussies & Kiwis) The very fast driving to and from Gallipoli, most of the time at 140kph Seat belt not working, driver said they know but don't have time to fix it. Conclusion: What was supposed to be a once in a lifetime ANZAC experience for us, honoring our troops and the events of that time was minimized by the tour guide we had on the day, which was terribly disappointing, a view shared with us by the other Aussies and Kiwis on the same tour on the day.

My sister and I embarked on the Gallipoli tour with Crowded House Tours during our time in Turkey. We were picked up from our hotel in Istanbul at 6:30 am, the transport was comfortable and punctual. The journey was made even smoother with amenities like USB ports in the van. A stop at a service station halfway allowed for refreshments and a chance to stretch our legs. Upon arrival at Eceabat, the tour office facilitated a seamless payment process in Euros, priced at 90 Euros per person. Lunch at a local restaurant, included in the package, accommodated our dietary needs. Our guide Hasan led us through the hallowed grounds of ANZAC Cove, the battlefields, and cemeteries. Despite the historical context, his narration demonstrated respect for all involved, opting for authenticity over exaggeration and maintained the mana of both sides of the battle. The care shown to the ANZAC soldiers' resting places by the Turkish people was touching, and Hasan's acknowledgment of our Māori heritage added a personal touch. The tour concluded back at the Crowded House Tours office, where we transitioned to a new van with a different driver. However we were sad to say goodbye to our amazing driver, George, who transported us safely and efficiently for most of the day. The journey back to Istanbul included another stop at the service station, but most of the trip was spent resting. We arrived back at our hotel around 8:30 pm, ready to share the stories of our day. Overall, the Crowded House Gallipoli tour provided a profound and meaningful experience, deepening our understanding of history and the sacrifices made. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an enriching excursion.

Wonderful day trip from Istanbul, our Driver (Ali) and Guide (Burak) were great. The tour itself covers all the areas that Aussie’s & Kiwi’s need to see and our guide gave us a very informed and balanced picture of the events that unfolded here. If you only have a short time here this is the one to do. Thoroughly recommend

Literally the most amazing tour and day spent in Turkey so far! Our amazing driver Baris and tour guide Ibrahim (Ibo!) we’re so hospitable, and Ibo was just a treasure trove of knowledge! He taught me things about Gallipoli I didn’t even know, unusual for an Australian! Quite a drive from Istanbul but rest breaks are provided, and it is WELL worth the drive to see for yourself just how impactful this battle was for both Allied Troops and Ottomans, a side I had never seen before! Cannot recommend crowded house tours and Ibrahim enough!

Despite the long drive, it was well worth the trip. The guide was excellent and very informative. Interesting to learn the truth from official reports.

I enjoyed the day, and had always wanted to visit Gallipoli. The tour was nice, good information and a good guide. The only negatives were the included lunch was poor, and there was no museum.

You'll learn A LOT of interesting historical facts and insane stories. Impressive! Burak, our guide, who born and raised in the area, done a wonderful job! Really appreciate the quality of the tour! One more thing to improve the experience. The time to walk around each of the stop was like 3-10 minutes, it is VERY rush, as there are a lot of stuff to read and wander around, plus taking photos. I would remove a 40-50-min breakfast stop on the way to Gallipoli and invest this time into each of the stop along graves/landmarks/beaches.

I had read five books on the Gallipoli campaign prior to the battlefield tour and I am a retired soldier of 36 years. I was not expecting much from our tour guide. I was more than pleasantly surprised! Hassan, our tour guide, had a PhD level knowledge of the battlefield and the way he presented it was superb. It is certainly a long day but a once in a lifetime experience. Bring your sun hat and maybe even some toilet paper lol!

We had an excellent tour led by our very knowledgeable guide Mr. Hasan Gùndoĝar of the battlefields of Gallipoli and the associated cemeteries and memorials. Hasan gave us a comprehensive historical background with contextual information regarding all the sites we visited concerning the ANZAC, British and Turkish militaries. Highly recommended for military history enthusiasts and tourists alike.
