Dion was an amazing and engaging guide. We got so much more than a tour of Mount Vernon - we got a history of the area of Alexandria, our first president and his complicated life, and of Washington DC itself. We enjoyed this tour tremendously. If you can do private, I will always recommend it. You have time to do the things you want and a person like Dion to make it happen.

Christopher was entertaining and very engaging. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He brought history to life.

What a lovely fall day for a tour of Mount Vernon. Small group with other guides taking in the extra tour , Nick was so personable, making the drive filled with information while tossing in a few punny jokes. Made the drive seem short , and he maximized our time by getting the house tour early (no lines today!) leaving more time for a yummy lunch and shopping. The two movies are a must. Beautiful day out. The plus was, USA Guided tours pick up and drop off at Wyndham hotels!!! I highly recommend this tour and the company.

Christopher was awesome! We booked a 5 hour tour of Alexandria and Mt Vernon. We are an active family and Christopher quickly adapted when we told him we’d like to also add Arlington to our itinerary. We saw it all in 5 hours. He put us right in the right place at the tomb of the unknown soldier to have the best view of the guard inspection. We really enjoyed our time with him. It was a great day!

This was our second tour with USA Guided Tours in DC and it was great. It was so much fun to learn more about George and Martha and visit Mount Vernon. Joey was a great tour guide and stayed with us through the whole tour, even through the mansion. I loved listening to her stories.

Beware before you book! USA Tours left us high and dry ... cancelling at the last minute with no other options. USA Tours cancelled our booked private tour 2 days prior and offered NO APOLOGY in the notification text or when I phoned. Even when I pointed that out to the operator, she still did not offer an apology or any alternate date or option. The notification text and operator claimed they could not run the tour because of the Cherry Blossom Race route -- as if that huge event had popped up out of no where. In reality, that race route had been posted months in advance. And cancelling didn't seem necessary since the race route and related street closures did not run between the pickup location and Mount Vernon at all. They could have first polled the small group to determine if we could arrive via subway or otherwise could reach the meeting location. There's a subway stop near the meeting location == so customers could still access the pickup location. I planned this trip to DC a year in advance specifically to go to Mount Vernon during cherry blossom season. And I planned all other activities around this booked USA tour. It was to be the centerpiece of our whole trip -- a lifelong bucket list item.. Since it was during peak tourist season in DC, all other Mt Vernon tours with decent ratings were sold out, so I could not change dates of Mt Vernon tour or other activities. USA Tours was so unhelpful and unapologetic.

Edgar was an outstanding tour guide friendly, knowledgeable. Old Town, Alexandria and Mount Vernon is a must tour for all visitors.

I would absolutely recommend this trip. We saw not only Old Alexandria and Mt Vernon, but our guide did a great job pointing out other points of interest on the way as well. Edgar was probably one of the best tour guides we've ever had. He knew his stuff, to say the least. He gave us so many cool and interesting facts about George Washington. He was also very energetic. He made the whole experience fun and worthwhile.

Christopher was our driver and guide to Mount Vernon and Alexandria. He was full of facts and stories and we were definitely happy we booked a tour with USA Guided Tours. No complaints. We also booked the Dusk Glass Top Tour with them and had Brittany as our guide. You get so much information vs being on your own. We covered a lot of ground in one day. Thank you USA Guided Tours.

Edgar was FANTASTIC. Very personable, engaging, knowledgeable, and fun. We traveled with our three kids (15, 13, 10) who all had a great time as well. Bus was super clean and comfortable. Timing was perfect (though - we would have loved a bit more time in both locations, we tend to be on the long end of 'expected times' for most things.) We also travel with a service dog. Edgar/the company did a great job of making reasonable accommodations and making us/her feel welcome! Overall - can't say enough positives!

On a recent trip to Washington, D.C., we decided to do two tours to places we haven't seen on previous visits. Without a car, we took the advice of the Mayflower Hotel concierge and booked our visit to Mount Vernon and Alexandria with USA Guided Tours. The recommendatiion was a good one. We were very impressed with the knowledge of our driver/guide. He seemed to know the questions that first-time visitors had and added many historical sidelights that we would never have known if doing the tour on our own. Once on the grounds, the pace of the tour was perfect, allowing us to ask questions and to stop long enough at points that were especially interesting to us. Clearly, the Mayflower knew what we wanted and picked picked the best tour company for two history buffs. If you've never seen Mount Vernon or Alexandria, we highly recommend this tour by USA Guided Tours. We're sure all of the company's guides are excellent, but think Dion Price is among the best.

Loved Edgar. He had a great energy and we thoroughly enjoyed all the information he shared with us on the tour. I came with my 13 year old son for his 8th grade trip, as well as my parents. My son said it was a great day.

To see where George Washington lived & died, fascinating & a beautiful spot. A must see if staying in Washington.
