So glad we used North shore Surf girls for our surf lesson. We were on our honeymoon and drove to north shore specifically for surfing. Aimee was so awesome, super knowledgeable, and helped me get up on my first wave! Highly recommend.

North Shore Surf Girls did a great job with our group of 4 teen girls (15, 17, 17, 18)! They all got up and road some waves! We did a private family lesson for 4 and got excellent attention by the instructors for each individual. I highly recommend using this outfit for your family surf experiences!

Absolutely the best memory for our crew of 8. Amy, Josh, and Ellie were so helpful, encouraging and kind. Our whole crew was up and going in 30 minutes, and we will sleep hard tonight after all that surfing! Thanks to Betty for capturing today in pics we will keep for a lifetime. Mahalo!

My boyfriend and I booked the group surf lesson - ended up being just us and it was wonderful. Jen was a great and patient teacher with us. Surf spot was great too! We learned how to surf first on the beach and got to practice on land on the board then went in the water. Jen explained everything thoroughly. She also taught us about Hawaiian culture. There was also a photographer present to take our pictures in action - you can buy the photos after if you’d like.

I was actually afraid of surfing and a little nervous for this lesson. But Aimee made me feel so confident and excited, and as soon as I caught my first wave I couldn't get enough of it! North Shore Surf Girls is a fun company that was easy to search for and book a lesson. Their text updates made the experience stress free and easy, and I love a woman led outdoor company! Take a lesson from one of these awesome ladies and you'll be smiling for days on end, just as I was.

Our family had a blast doing two sessions with Aimee. My daughter summarized it best, “Aimee is such a great instructor. She made me very comfortable with the waves, and she put me on just the right size and condition of a wave. I stood on my first wave, having never stood on a board. Aimee taught me so much from standing on a board to turning and ridding into the beach. I was so lucky to have Aimee as my surf instructor, and I had an amazing experience surfing in Oahu.”

I called in last minute to try to join a group class and the staff were super helpful to help me find an option that fit my schedule. I ended up taking a private with Jen who was amazing and made sure to explain everything super well and went above and beyond to ensure my experience was great!

While visiting Oahu I was looking for a surf lesson with a female surf instructor for my 8 yr old daughter who had never been surfing before. Found NSSG Surf School online and gave them a call. The woman answered all of my questions and I easily scheduled a lesson for the next day. I received text message updates for the location in the morning based on the conditions and we were warmly greeted by the instructor. 10 minutes of instruction on the beach and the two swam off on separate boards into the ocean. My daughter was able to get about about 12 good rides during the 2 hour session and came back to the beach with a big smile. The entire time she was out there I felt confident that her instructor would keep her safe. We will definitely take another lesson with NSSG Surf School when we return to Oahu.

We did the 2 hour private family surf lesson with North Shore Surf Girls and our experience was absolutely AMAZING!!! Carol, Coral and Josh were exceptional instructors and soooo great with our kiddos!! Our 8, 5 and 3 year joined in the entire lesson and had a blast! We had the time of our lives too! The instructors helped us find the perfect waves and we all had some beautifully long surfs. I felt like we were in great hands out there and so did our kids! Our 3 year old happily tandem surfed with Carol and Josh took our 5 year old under his wing and had him up surfing some big sweet waves! Cora was so awesome out there too keeping us going on wave after wave! Our 8 year old did amazing on her own board because the instructors ensured she knew what to do. We never felt rushed and they were all so friendly and kind! We highly recommend the North Shore Surf Girls!!! I also loved that they had a photographer you could purchase photos from there to capture soo many special moments and memories! Thank you Carol, Coral and Josh! Look forward to surfing with you guys again one day!!

First time surfing and Josh had me standing up on the very first wave. He was so kind and helpful I highly recommend him and North Shore Surf Girls. As a 48 year old guy carrying around an extra 30+ lbs, I was honestly nervous about how it would go. My trip to Oahu was a little last minute and I always “planned” to be in better shape but when the trip came together I wasn’t going to miss the opportunity to hit the waves. We met at the Surf Girls truck (which is easy to find) went to the beach and Josh gave me a simple but thorough safety briefing and tips. We were in the water in no time. Here is where his expertise and hard work came through. He did most of the real work for me by towing me out to the sweet spot every time. We paddled past several other schools and instructors and he always seemed to know exactly where to position us. All I ever had to focus on was applying the technique he explained. If I had to do all my own paddling I would have been worn out after 2-3 waves. He was very gracious in answering all my “new guy” questions. I am honestly blown away by how many waves I was able to catch because he instinctively knew where to go every time. I saw several other instructors from other schools sitting and waiting for students to paddle to them or just sitting in the line up not catching. Being with Josh felt like cheating. I don’t mean to gush but I honestly couldn’t have been happier. I will bring my wife and kids back here for sure. Carol was out with a couple young kids and she was obviously great at instructing as well. Carol I hope you read this and give Josh a raise LOL. Bucket list item checked in such a huge way. Take the 2 hour private if you can, but go!!! I am hooked.

Carol is an amazing instructor. We were complete beginners and she made it so easy to understand each step of the process. She was so friendly and encouraging throughout our lesson. We highly recommend her as an instructor!

Overall, we had a wonderful experience learning how to surf with the North Shore Surf Girls. Aimee, our instructor, was friendly, patient, and encouraging. We started by learning the basics of ocean safety, paddling, and how to stand up on the board, and then we had the opportunity to ride a few waves. Meanwhile, Aimee kept careful watch and provided helpful feedback. It was a fun-filled and enjoyable experience - I would highly recommend taking a lesson with the North Shore Surf Girls. Mahalo!

Amazing time with my first surf lesson. Heri was a great instructor, super nice and patient. I was able to fully get up on my second try! Even at 42, it was so fun, he made the lessons so easy to learn.

The North Shore Surf Girls are totally tubular dude!!!! We did a private family group lesson 6 of us totally 4 teenagers and 2 adults in our 40’s. We all made it standing and the instruction was phenomenal. Amy and Josh were the bomb instructors that we had and walked all of us through the ins and outs of being able to surf successfully. I highly recommend North Shore Surf girls on your vist to the North shore. Also shout out to Hankfoto for getting awesome action shots of our surfing adventure!!!!

I took my 3 girls from ages 11-16, and all four of us were all able to get up and surf dozens of waves thanks to our awesome instructors! We got the real North Shore surfing experience. And the cherry on top was the awesome photographer they have during the summer season. We all love the photos and plan to hang then in our house when we get back home from vacation.

My 3 grandchildren had a wonderful experience with north shore surf girls. Ages 8, 9, and 12 and they were up on the board catching waves within the first 10 minutes in the water. They loves the experience and loved their instructors. If we are ever in Hawaii again we will be back to same company. I highly recommend!

This was a surprise for my husband’s 57th birthday! It was his first time ever on a surfboard- so he was a bit nervous! His instructor put him at ease and he caught his very first wave! I can’t say enough about how AMAZING NorthShoreSurfGirls is !!! If you are even thinking about “what if?!” Just DO IT !!! #noregrets

Overall it was a great experience. I opted for a two-hour session so I'd get more time on the water. I definitely got some great instruction both on the beach and on the water, but it would have been nice to get a little more on the water. Still an excellent experience though and I'd recommend it to anyone.
