We where lucky to have chosen chasing lights from all our tour providers in Tromso. We did two Northern Lights Mini bus Tours and The Dog Sledding and Ice Domes Tour. Jonas was our guide on the first night and I can honestly say I have never met anyone with so much passion about anything. He was a complete joy and we were lucky to have a full night of seeing the Northern Lights. The second night we had Alex who tried his very hardest to find a spot where there were no clouds and we did manage to see them very slightly but this felt like a proper chase as the clouds had a mind of their own. The Dog sledding and Dome tour was so well organised this just put the icing on the cake. The third night we decided to get the Cable car and see if we could see the Northern Lights from there as it was a clear night and we had a spectacular show. We did hear from a few people that you can't see them up there from the light pollution but this wasn't true for us.

Nelson is the great tour leader, able to really chase the northern light. He changed routing according to the situation and we were having 3-4 hours great experience of the beautiful green northern light. Pity that was his last chase, but we all had fun and enjoy his tour guide.

The experience was wonderful thanks also to the spectacular Northern Lights we were lucky enough to see and photograph! The trip organization was impeccable, the guide who accompanied us, attentive to our needs, made the trip interesting by providing us with a lot of information. the minibus ride comfortable and the places visited of great beauty! Very good minibus driver as well!!! Fully satisfied!!!

One of the most amazing trips. I enjoyed every second of it. Definitely would recommend going with them.Jonas made sure we were able to get the best view and he gave us all the knowledge about the northern lights.

We went out 3 different nights with Chasing Lights on the minibus with Dani, Lucie and Nelson. Each of them were extremely passionate and knowledgeable. They each did their absolute best to help us find the Northern Lights each night. Lucie and Nelson had the most difficult evenings due to clouds but worked very hard to find us clear sky's and great views of the Lights. Would definitely recommend Minibus over Big Bus. There are more spots to pull over quickly for the Minibus when the lights show up and you won't be waiting for so many other people to get off at each stop. Would 100% recommend this tour company because they have a driver and a guide. The driver just drives which leaves the awesome guides (Dani, Lucie, Nelson) free to keep an eye on the sky and know when and where to pull over, especially in quick situations when the lights appear

Thanks to our guide Dani who made all the journey very special, his Viber and energy are awesome. Last night we started our journey from Tromsø heading inland in search of clear skies. We had a few sightseeing stops along the way, enjoying frozen Ramfjord, spoting some reindeer and even a moose! We have arrived at our spot, camping next to a frozen lake, enjoying 1000s of stars shining down on us and waiting patiently for some Northern Lights.  Luckily our patience paid of and we got blessed with a wonderful strong show, Northern Lights all over the sky, dancing and showing us many different beautiful shapes.  What a show ! We also got to enjoy a warm dinner under the Northern Lights around the campfire! A very unique experience

The views where amazing, the Guide Dani, very knowledgeable, seems he knew the right place and the right time. Them, we were gifted with the Northern Lights after all. He took beautiful pictures of us and send us right after the trip!! We had nice meal, warm clothes, well everything was great! Highly recommended! Thank you Dani! You're the best and made the whole experience even better!

Alex and Geir are very friendly and passionate about what they do! We had the best time. Alex also shared insights on the Northern lights and other fun facts and also answered all of our questions! They made us feel comfortable throughout the trip and made sure we had the best: the sunset views at Ersfjord, the beautiful, northern lights with the twilight colors at Skogsfjord, the snug campfire, yummy snacks and dinner! We were also very lucky to have that amazing weather so overall, excellent!

I highly recommend doing the small bus tour - not only is it WAY more personal (opportunity to ask questions to the guide, personal photo shoots basically), but you also have the opportunity to wear a jumpsuit and boots provided from the company. This was a lifesaver because of the cold weather, and you do not get this on the big bus. Also, there is a fire that the guide makes which also ameliorates the experience + dinner. I highly recommend paying a little more for the small bus - totally worth it.

It was simply a fantastic night with Alex and the team. Alex was very professional; you could instantly see his passion for the northern lights. Alex was very personable and thorough with his expertise, making instant and flexible decisions based on his experiences. And boy, he served us the most incredible opportunity to see the northern lights in its true colour. The lights came out to dance and put on a show for the group. We should not forget our driver, Doll, who was on board with being so flexible with his driving and accommodating last-minute changes and decisions. It was a fantastic experience that I will never forget, and that’s all down to Alex’s passion, knowledge, and perseverance.

What an amazing night! Everything from the pick up to the drop off was well organized! Our guide Andrea was very knowledgeable and super motivated to find the best spot for us to see the lights. we drove to Skogsfjord and the lights were already waiting for us. There was so much activity this night! Such an amazing experience! highly recommended! Also a big thanks to our driver, Stan!

What an incredible experience! I did three nights of aurora borealis hunting with the Chasing lights team! Departure on time, comfortable minivan and clothes and shoes included to withstand the intense cold! On the first night with our guide Marius and driver Stan, we had a cloudy night and couldn't see the northern lights, but the tour still took us to impressive landscapes. And the following nights, we saw the light shows as expected!!!! With Nelson and doll and the following night Alex and Patryk (Alex has a sensational music playlist too!!!!) Passionate guides who are enthusiastic about what they do make the difference in The whole experience! Sensational!

Was in Tromso on a work trip and was fortunate enough to be on a chasing lights tour. Our guide (Lucy) was extremely knowledgeable not just about the lights but all things geological and geographical. She also had immense positive energy and thoroughly seemed to enjoy her job - I enjoyed her enthusiasm nearly more than the excursion. The lights themselves were also cool but of course look better in photographs.

We can’t believe we saw THE lady aurora on our first and also the only tour we booked in Tromsø. I do believe that there are a lot of factors to consider (weather, forecasts, etc) but I guess the stars also aligned for us. The Lady Aurora did put on a show! It was so beautiful our guide, Meda said that it’s probably the most beautiful she’ve seen this season. Never in my wildest dream and I’m glad we did it with Chasing Lights. Our guide, Meda was superb! She made sure everything was in order. She also helped me set up my camera so I can take photos of the northern lights when it decides to come out. I also loved how she was able to memorize all our names. Even though we were 13 pax in this tour (not a private one), she made it feel so personalized. Our tour captain/driver, Egidijus should also be commended! We all felt safe and kudos to him for bringing all of us to the camping ground back to our hotel safely. He was also super nice! All in all, everyone in my group agreed that booking with Chasing Lights is definitely worth it. They are all so professional from the customer support service who replies so promptly to all my concerns and queries to Meda and Egidijus who gave us a night to remember. I’ll never recover from this night. Til we meet again Lady Aurora! Ofc i’ll be booking again with Chasing Lights when that day comes 🥰

From the pickup to the drop off, what an amazing trip. Alex and our driver, Geir, were brilliant- Geir for driving us around but Alex for his exceptional enthusiasm to ensure you get to see Lady Aurora. Alex took myself and 11 others to a sunset en route at Ersfjord where we thought we needed to be in order to see the lights. Amazing sunset. We finally arrived at our destination, Skogsfjord, to view the lights and they didn't disappoint. Even whilst the daylight hadn't quite set, the lights were starting to make an appearance but as the darkness fell, the lights were out of this world, reflecting the bright green colours on the ice and snow on the beach - such an incredible sight. Alex then set about showing us how to make a camp fire and got us all involved as we then warmed up around the fire sitting on Reindeer skins on the snow before having a heated snack, hot ribena and a cookie.

The minibus chase tour was awesome.Our guides Meda and Stanislav were super friendly and very patient. They helped us chase for the lights the whole tour. The whole process was very exciting and superb.We would highly recommend.

Frankly, Our guide Danny was spot on and found such wonderful place with Northern Lights viewing beyond our own expectation.. Well Done Danny

We did both the Big Bus and the Mini Bus Tour and were very happy with both tours. On the first evening, Andrea and Jacob were our tour guides on the big bus chase. We started in Tromsø during a heavy snowstorm and drove inland for about two hours. Along the way, they kept checking the sky and sharing interesting information about the Northern Lights. Our final stop was at the Finnish border where we spent about three hours admiring the beautiful Northern Lights. In the evening, more cars and buses arrived at the same spot, resulting in a crowded parking lot and a very touristy atmosphere. The bus provided warmth and they served hot juice and cookies. We arrived back in Tromsø around 3 o'clock. Andrea and Jacob were excellent. On the second evening, we chose the minibus chase. Our tour guide, Daniele, was amazing. The entire trip was a fantastic experience. During the journey, we made two stops at the fjords and enjoyed the beautiful nature. Our final stop was in a stunning valley between the mountains, offering breathtaking views. Although we had to wait a bit, the Northern Lights eventually appeared, treating us to an incredible show in the sky. During the tour, we were provided with reindeer skins to sit or lie on, thermal suits to protect us from the cold, campfires to keep us warm, cookies, hot juice, and a delicious dinner. We enjoyed all of these amenities in the company of a small group of people. Daniele captured many great photos, which he immediately sent to us after the tour. While the big bus tour is primarily focused on providing a cost-effective way to see the Northern Lights, the mini bus chase offers an incredible overall experience. We highly recommend both tours, depending on your budget and expectations. We would like to give a special thank you to the tour guides Andrea, Jacob and Daniele who made these wonderful evenings possible and took care of everything.

Jonas and Doll were the best. They drove us to the best spot for the view. Doll even let us sit next to him to warm our hands in between seeing the lights outdoors. The camp fire and food was great

Alex Lloyd is the best guide to pursuit the dream of the Auroras, he is the man and Chasing Lights is a very professional vendor to trust in. Doll is a great driver too, he is very supportive in your needs.
