Although we did see Northern Lights which was amazing, we were not impressed by the manners of our guide. He came across a little rude and inappropriate in the way that he spoke to some of the people in our group. Hence, giving this experience 4 stars only.

Look no further for your Northern Lights tour! We had an *exceptionally excellent* experience with Happyworld. I had done a bunch of research before selecting a tour company and honed in on Happyworld mainly due to the comparatively small group size, reasonable price, and flexibility to rebook at no additional cost in case the Lights don't cooperate. In addition to these logistical advantages, Happyworld provides clear and timely day-of communication, does thorough daily meteorological research before making a go-no decision, and keeps you comfortable and engaged during the tour. To boot, Ástþór was a *tremendous guide* - as entertaining as he is informative! - and he did a fantastic job of capturing our experience through photography (see a few attached examples). Our overall Northern Lights journey comprised three nights: - Night 1: We ventured out, but the Lights weren't very strong. It was still nice to be out under the stars! - Night 2: True to their world, Happyworld allowed us to rebook for free, but in the early evening informed us that the meteorological conditions weren't conducive to seeing the light and cancelled the trip. We appreciated their not wasting our time, as well as providing suggestions for alternative activities in Reykjavik. - Night 3: Once again, true to their world, Happyworld allowed us to rebook for free. This time those Northern Lights *absolutely exploded* for us. We spent several hours in a field outside of Reykjavik watching the lights move and dance, ebb and pop, change color. The spectacle was well worth the wait - truly magical! - and very much enhanced by Ástþór's enthusiasm and narration. HIGHLY RECOMMEND chasing the Northern Lights with Happyworld!

Such an amazing experience! Tour staff was so helpful and very eager to help do everything they could do to ensure we saw the northern lights. They were very honest and forthcoming with information and even had to reschedule us for another night with better chances to see the northern lights. So glad they did because the next night was just magical! Highly recommend. Very friendly guys, nice 4x4 ride. Great all around!!!

First of all, the 2 gentlemen who ran this tour were amazing. They made us feel very comfortable and entertained. We immediately felt like friends upon pickup. We drove out to the National Park about an hour outside the city and set up shop. Immediately, we were dazzled with photos of the Northern Lights. It was absolutely freezing outside, but we did not care. The lights were so beautiful and the commentary and learning experience from the tour guides kept us entertained. 10 out of 10 MUST DO!!!!

My fiancé and I had an amazing experience on this tour. Our guide, Ástþór, was very personable, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. We learned about astrology, Greek mythology, space, and of course, the Northern Lights. We were lucky enough to experience the beautiful Northern Lights and got some great pictures to remember the once in a lifetime experience by. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

The tour with them was amazing! We were lucky enough to get a Northern Light show yesterday night and had plenty of opportunities to take pictures! The stargazing makes this experience so much more fun compared to other tours. The best was our guide Astþor, telling us everything he knew about the stars, solar system, Northern Lights and he always found a way to make the entire group laugh! :D If you are looking for a fun Northern Lights Tour, I can definitely recommend them.

Amazing. This was just pure magic. It was just 6 of us riding along chasing after the lights. Learned so much about Aurora Borealis and the sky!

I cannot adequately put into words how amazing of an experience we had with Happy World Iceland and our tour guide Pruster (pronounced "Thruster"). We lucked out with a perfectly clear night and we loved that it was a small group (only 8 of us). "Thruster" was the MOST amazing tour guide, sharing his vast knowledge about the Aurora, Icelandic history, and TONS on astronomy/constellations. He brought his own camera and got amazing shots of all of us, as well as his awesome telescope and let us look at Jupiter, constellations, and other cool stuff in the bright, starry night. He was so full of energy and super funny. On the drive home we noticed the lights getting even brighter in the sky and he made an additional stop for us and go the best pics of the night. Happy World Iceland really went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make this experience exceptional! Recommend them to everyone!!!

I couldn’t recommend these guys enough - true professionals. The tour got cancelled twice due to weather but third time was a charm. The weather didn’t look too promising so I was a bit surprised. However, I didn’t need to worry. They took us about 40mins outside Reykjavík and the clouds cleared just in time for us to see the lights in action. A great evening with great pictures.

We were lucky enough to have the full northern lights experience and it was worth it. Great friendly knowledgeable guides with a hot chocolate thrown in.

What a night, final night of our trip. We did have tour booked for earlier in our stay, but totally appreciated the expertise to rebook for better opportunity to see the aurora. We were not let down it was a great night and our guides were super friendly and very informative. This was like man at a bucket list opportunity. We knew it may not happen with potential cloud cover but our guides took us to two locations to maximise the opportunity. Some great pics taken for us and we loved just watching the show dance in the sky. Remember it’s more visual in photos but you can see them with our guides help prior to arriving at our destination. Thank you will look forward to doing this trip again. Would highly recommend the Happyworld reykavik for your tour.

I loved this tour - keep in mind I'm not pretentious so I'm showing up knowing I have to contribute to the good time. But a great time was had! I appreciate the transparency and funny disposition of this team. We found out around 6pm day of if the excursion was happening because they care to only take people out if there's a legitimate chance you'll actually see the lights! Astpor was our guide - just an amazingly knowledgeable and jovial individual. Our group was 6 guests total and I was picked up on time in an Excursion. They called me and made sure they could find me - they are not trying to leave anyone behind! We went pretty far out and Astpor found an isolated area and set up his telescope to show us constellations and planets. It was very windy, but we could hide behind a shelter and Astpor kept the car running when we needed warmth! He explained the northern lights phenomenon and was just all around engaged. The pictures were delivered the next day so you can download whichever ones you like!

Good hot chocolate tour driver was late for pickup, we were out for just over 3 hours, not the 3-5 hours.

This was the best northern lights experience I could have wished for. Having tried and failed many times to see the lights, I appreciated the teams honestly both about the time they decided to cancel on the basis there was no real chance of seeing anything, their flexibility in rebooking and their utter professionalism in calling it a go at the last minute for the night we went. And they were right - the lights were wonderful. They took some amazing pictures too! Such perfect memories. I really welcomed the hot chocolate and cake (I don’t even like hot chocolate but theirs was delicious!) and we finished the night with some stargazing, enhanced by the great telescope they bought along. A really, really knowledgable crew. I felt safe and in the hands of some real experts. I cannot recommend highly enough

It's impossible to rate this highly enough. We had a fantastic evening and were able to see the northern lights. The guide was so friendly and engaging, and very informative. It was also fascinating to be able to use his telescope to see stars and planets "up close". And the hot chocolate and cake were delicious!

Amazing guide, Þórsteinn (sp?) (pronounced Thruston) was extremely knowledgeable and this company is so lucky to have someone with his passion and personality. He seems to have a very genuine excitement and extensive understanding of what he does and it really made this experience all the more special for myself and my boyfriend. Communication was clear about pickup and they do well to repeatedly stress to dress extremely warmly and in layers since you will be outside for several hours at night in winter. Iceland in winter can be a damp, windy cold, so I would also recommend bringing hot hands warming packs along in your boots or mittens to stay extra comfortable. We also wore hats, jackets/snowpants with some wind blocking capabilities over several light thermal layers and were quite comfortable for the duration. The area where we were standing was uneven frozen grass, and you will be standing for a few hours so know yourself and abilities and plan accordingly for your personal needs! Also, no bathroom out there, so be prepared :) Seeing the stripes and moons of Saturn through the telescope which he brought was magical and we saw dozens of meteors while we were out too. The truly bright colors of the lights are really only visible through slow shutter speeds on a tripod camera (which they bring), but as time went on we were better able to see the lights dancing with our naked eye. All the pictures they take are emailed to you within a day or so at no additional charges. Can't wait to put together a video of all the pictures they sent to really capture the movements of this amazing natural phenomenon. A wonderful experience that I would highly recommend!
