Koba was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and anxious to please all members of our group. He brought Nikko to life for us.

I've been to Japan many times myself and have always wanted to take my parents to show them a bit of why I enjoyed visiting that country so frequently. This year, I was finally able to coax my parents to book a flight out to Japan with me. This was my first guided tour experience in Japan and I have to say that it was really well done especially considering that my group primarily consisted of senior citizens. Emi was very knowledgeable of the temples and shrines that we visited. I learned a lot more than I ever would have in just visiting Nikko and reading the placards on my own. I highly recommend this tour for those wanting to get some education out of their visit to Nikko!

Excellent choice if you are trying to avoid the crowd during autumn leaves viewing season. Yusuke is a professional guide and he kept in contact to find out our preferences prior to the trip & also suggested amendments depending on the weather as well. Managed to see many beautiful autumn leaves and enjoyed the food recommended as well. The guide is very customer centric, which makes the trip even more enjoyable.

We had an amazing trip to Nikko. We were asking a lot to do the shrines and the waterfalls in the same day but our guide, Yoshii, recommended we hire a car to make this possible. I’m glad we did as we only had the one day and it was great to see it all. We visited the shrines during the second half of the day, which was slightly rushed. Yoshii did a good job of adapting to our changes/ requests and we thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Our guide was amazing. Very helpful from first contact via email, to meeting us at the hotel. We had some railway things to sort, and this was no problem. Our guide was knowledgeable and listened to our needs. He made connections with us and had great knowledge of all places we wanted to visit. His instruction for subway and other trains was invaluable! He helped us ollect temple and shrine stamps which we will treasure forever. I pai tō rā. It was a wonderful day. Excellent day visiting Nikko. Seiji was a great guide, very knowledgeable, helpful and proactive. The temples were amazing. And the national park and water falls were beautiful.

Yumi has been the best guide ever! Ahe has explained very well the main places of Nikko. The best was the Toshogu Shrine, the Temple and the Imperial Villa. She is a great guide, sweet, patient, positive and we enjoyed a lot with her. We totally recommend her!

Tatsuo was excellent, showing me around, telling me about the stuff we saw, and on the travel showed pictures and explained about things we wouldn't see on this tour. Afterwards he took me to extra places on our way back going above and beyond!

Our friendly, very informative guide Nobu was very helpful, pulling together a full day itinerary for us ahead of time from the sites we mentioned were of most interest to us. He was very efficient with the transportation logistics of getting from Tokyo and all around Nikko. Throughout the day he provided extensive details of the history and cultural aspects of each site. It made for a very educational and interesting day. At the end of the day Nobu was of great help showing us how to access the right train line for our next day’s activity. We would recommend him to anyone wanting a kind, professional, knowledgeable guide.

We have a good time with this tour even though the road and walk way conditions were not ideal due to snow footprints left from the previous day. Our tour guide - Mr Nobby is very knowledgeable about the Japanese history and its culture. We had learned a few interesting facts about this Nikko region and very appreciated the nature beauty of this region. We are very grateful to have Mr Nobby as our guide.

We had a wonderful day with our guide Asai-san and went to four sights on that single day. Asai-san was very well prepared and told us a lot about the different buildings and their meanings.

We were fortunate to have Mari Noda as our tour guide to Nikko. She was well organized and made the most of our limited time there. It was the perfect mix of nature and culture. We spent the morning exploring the park with views of mountains, fall colors, waterfalls, lakes, and a ride on a ropeway. Mari picked a great spot for lunch where we ate the local specialties of soba and yuba. In the afternoon, she gave an informative tour of Tosho-gu’s gates, courtyards and shrine. We were well taken care of during the trip. She offered to take photos, hailed a taxi back to the hotel, and gave us a sweet treat.

What a wonderful day with Yumi Aoyama! She met us at the train station and had pre-purchased our bus passes so we could get right on the bus to the waterfalls. We went in the morning to avoid the rush and it worked out perfectly. We spent the rest of the day touring the shrines and temples. She knew the area well and was able to give us information about mant places as we walked around. It seemed like we were always just ahead of the crowds. She found us a traditional Japanese restaurant for lunch and the whole day was just perfect. She waited with us until we boarded our train. I am so glad we booked this tour! Yumi was an excellent guide.

We had our tour in Nikko with Hideo Uenishi. The tour was amazing! Our guide was exceptionally well prepared. He went all the way to Nikko one day in advance just to make sure everything would go smoothly. Hideo san also knew the place very well. He was able to answer all our questions and gave us interesting bits of trivia on the way. To the extent where he knew to tell us which side of the train to sit on because the view is better. This made the Nikko tour very fun and enjoyable! We loved how attentive and thoughtful our guide Hideo san was. Especially when he offered to arrive earlier so he can give us a little tour of Tokyo on our way to the station. Not to mention he stayed overtime for 2 hours with us. I can't express how good of a guide Hideo san was and how fun the tour was. He really went above and beyond. Easily one of the best guides we've ever had! We would really recommend him for future tours!

I went to Nikko with Guide Minoru Asai, and he was phenomenal! Nikko is absolutely gorgeous and he filled me in on the history and background. It was also highly personalized and he worked around what I wanted to do, which made a huge difference as I wanted to go see some of the more natural sights that other people don’t typically go to. Completely worth the trip, and hope to return to Nikko in the future!

Our guide was Minoru Asai, he was absolutely great. Minoru was very helpful, super attentive, and helped us to arrange everything. He was very knowledgeable about the area, with lots of details and was always very keen to answer every question. Kids loved his explanations, we really recommend him!

It was an amazing experience with Nobu a very experienced and professional tour operator. It was surely a fun day and would recommend it to anyone. Try and visit in November though when the autumn leaves turn this place beautiful.
