We were in the City to celebrate our son's 18th birthday. He's a history buff so we thought this tour would be something fun to do before meeting up with the rest of the family for dinner. Our tour guide Michael only very briefly asked where the 3 of us and the other party of 3 were from and didn't even wait for me to finish my sentence past we're from Long Island because I was going to elaborate that I work in the City and have spent all of my career in Manhattan. My wife, who is a teacher, felt he wasn't at all looking to connect with the audience and just wanted to stick to his script. We didn't follow the itinerary in the order it is laid out above but did hit all of the stops. The one bathroom break was 1.5 hours into the 2 hour tour. I unfortunately had to go from the very beginning having run into a lot of unexpected traffic on the way in so we didn't have time to stop for a restroom and thus my walking pace was a bit slower but Michael just kept up with his pace so we sometimes fell behind. There were fun facts we weren't aware of along the way and spots like Stone Street we didn't actually know about. Our history buff was having a bit of trouble hearing everything through the mask Michael had on so he admittedly tuned in and out. The other area of improvement, especially with only 6 people, would be to offer a few photo ops along the way. The only time we were invited to stop for a picture was at the Stock Exchange by the Fearless Girl. The other party wasn't interested and Michael stayed over by them so we felt pressured to hurry up and couldn't really wait for folks to clear from the background. On most tours the guide offers to take shots for you and it's so much easier for them to ask folks to kindly step aside for a nice memorable shot. Trinity Church definitely would've made for a good picture along the way as well. This tour has potential to be a nice outing for anyone interested in a bit of history and or more background for the musical. With the right approach from a guide who seeks to connect with the audience and deliver a little bit of what they've come for we'd recommend.

A great learning experience. Ace was personable, knowledgeable, and kept us interested. We learned little known insights on Hamilton and the city buildings.

I went on the Hamilton tour with my daughter yesterday afternoon and we went to see the musical at night. Combining the two activities was just great. Mickey, our guide on the Hamilton tour is very knowledgeable, experienced and fun too! Both my daughter and I really enjoyed our afternoon. We learnt a lot not just about Hamilton but also about the neighbourhood. Mickey told us many anecdotes, which made the tour lively and will stick with us.

NYC had a 5.1 earthquake on the day of our tour with after shock warnings. My 12 year old daughter from Ireland felt the earthquake and cried and begged not to do the tour. When I reached out to Viator and explained my child’s fear and asked for a refund I was told… tough shi-t. Not our problem.

The guide was great even with the miserable weather. We left early but not because of her or the tour itself.

I had such an amazing time on this tour! I went to visit friends in Philly over Spring Break, and we went to NYC for a couple of days. We found this tour, and it was so awesome! The biggest reason why is because of our amazingly gifted and talented tour guide, Mickey. She knew so much about A.Ham and also told us anecdotes and other historical information that was super informative. HIGHLY recommend this!

My friend is obsessed with the Hamilton musical and on his recent visit to NYC asked to go on this tour. I was nervous since it was a particularly cold day and we had a member of our party who needs pretty frequent breaks while walking. Not only was Mickey a great guide (funny, knowledgable, and personable) she made sure to stop in sunny spots to combat the cold and where there were benches so that we could rest during the two hour tour without even being asked. Highly recommended!

Sam did a wonderful job giving our group a sense of how Manhattan started in the area close to Battery Park and Bowling Green. We got a great deal of insight into how Hamilton, Washington, Jefferson and Burr were part of the Lower Manhattan scene during the various periods surrounding the American Revolutionary and post war period while also getting some insights into architectural changes that can be seen in many of the city’s “skyscrapers” which are located in this part of the city. It was also fascinating to understand why the the streets in this part of the city are patterned in Dutch fashion - much like Amsterdam, and then the more familiar “grid” system of streets begins to take place as you go northbound up the island - which was done as the British took over. Overall - great experience - especially if you’re interested in learning a little bit of the history of the city.

Wow! This was quite a journey through time. Jessie did a superb job of making history come alive through her telling of the stories of the people and places related to Hamilton.

Our tour guide Sam was fantastic. Don't miss the chance to find out more about Hamilton, Native Americans, Wall Street and the founding fathers in this great tour. Sam will show you historical buildings, streets and point out famous facts that have happened in this tour. We all loved this tour.

Everyone should visit lower Manhattan/Financial District and have Sam for your tour guide. Sam made it fun learning about the many historical sites and their impact today. He answered all questions we and the other guests had about the area. Thanks Sam!!
